Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

”What the hell is happening?!?!”

Just as the man steeled himself, ready to push for another massive power-up, his gaze locked onto the monitor. The hair on his neck suddenly stood on end. He absolutely lost his mind!

The game-based ability he’d inherited came from a niche game that had only recently launched. Because the game was so new, the developers held a promotional event, sponsoring a lucky player with a million’s worth of Krypton Gold. This was also why one of the company’s backup servers ended up in his apartment building.

The man had learned about this after the apocalypse began, from documents he found on the floor where the server was located.

He had just been about to farm one of the game’s strongest bosses again. But when his eyes returned to the Game World, he found it had completely changed!

To be more precise, the Game World had been destroyed!!!

”What is happening??”

”What is HAPPENING!!!”

The sudden transformation within the game left the man utterly dumbfounded.

He saw countless massive, cylindrical tunnels, each tens of meters in radius, that had punched through the Game World before his eyes. They riddled it with holes like Swiss cheese, turning everything upside down.

The entire Game World had no area left untouched. Whether it was the wilderness maps, the in-game cities, or even the special dungeon instances, everything had been riddled with holes by some unknown attack!

The man, who had been preparing to go all-out powering himself up for another five weeks, was simply left dumbstruck.

His newly logged-in character stood all alone in a world ravaged beyond recognition, devoid of any NPCs or other characters. The scene froze...

What happened?

The real world was ravaged by the monster tide... Has the monster tide now spread to the Game World?

Stunned, the man had no idea what was going on. A series of wild guesses flashed through his mind. The Game World he could always access had been destroyed. He felt as if his dream had been shattered...

WHOOSH—

A few minutes later, panicking, he seemed to think of something. He quickly ran to the floor where the game server was located. Then, gritting his teeth, he slammed the restart button.

Previously, worried he might break something, he’d never dared to touch the restart button. But now, the Game World was destroyed beyond recognition. Not only was there not a single living thing inside, but even the buildings and terrain had been smashed to smithereens. The only thing the man could do was try a desperate remedy: restart the game server to see if the obliterated Game World could be restored.

WHIRRR—

As the man watched anxiously, the server rebooted successfully.

”Fuck!”

But when he saw that the computer screen still displayed a world riddled with holes after the reboot... the man froze.

Gone!

Everything was gone!!!

The sudden destruction of the Game World left the man utterly dumbfounded. The reboot hadn’t worked!

He didn’t know what to do. After three weeks of hard work, filled with pent-up drive, the very thing he was striving for had been suddenly destroyed. The man’s mind went completely blank...

”Why!!!”

A few minutes later, the man let out a furious, sky-shattering roar. He roared in fury at his terrible luck—that the Game World he depended on for survival could be so utterly destroyed.

He also roared, demanding to know how the Game World could even be destroyed!

Who has this kind of power?

And who did this?

The top of the Game World has been ripped off like the cap of a skull. What’s going on?

Losing his mind, the man had his character look up. He saw that the sky of the ravaged Game World was filled with a dense web of bizarre spatial fissures. At the center where the fissures converged, the sky was no longer blue. It was as if another world lay beyond...

”Hm?”

Just as the enraged man was about to investigate what lay within the spatial fissures, he suddenly saw the world before him shimmer. Countless beings appeared in the sky, riding creatures with the head of a bird, the body of a lion, and a pair of great wings.

Griffins from World of Warcraft?

Is that fucking Medivh, an NPC from World of Warcraft?

Game Worlds can invade each other?

My Game World... was invaded by NPCs from World of Warcraft?

Seeing the scene that appeared in the sky, the man’s face instantly paled in terror!

He had already confirmed that some in-game NPCs and bosses showed signs of gaining sentience after he began inheriting his game-based abilities. However, his Game World was a self-contained little world. Therefore, although some NPCs and bosses had awakened to some unknown degree of sentience, it hadn’t had much of an impact on him.

But now, looking at the figure emerging overhead, he recognized him at a glance. The figure looked exactly like a certain super-NPC from the *Warcraft* movie he had once seen. The man cried out in alarm again, right there in front of his screen. He instantly guessed that his Game World had likely been smashed to smithereens by the very World of Warcraft NPCs before his eyes.

”Screw you!”

He watched as the imposing Medivh and his retinue scanned the area from above before Medivh waved his hand, ordering them to swoop down toward his character. The man let out a curse and instantly had his character log out of the game. Once his character logged out, it would leave the Game World, and there would be no chance of it being harmed or captured.

”Damn it!”

”What do I do!”

He had logged out quickly, but the man knew this was far from over. With his Game World destroyed, he could no longer lay low and farm monsters.
