Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

WHOOSH.

「Half an hour later.」

Shen Fei led the group forward, annihilating and one-shotting every creature that appeared in their path. Finally, a two-dimensional, flat-styled ancient castle appeared before their eyes.

Then, as the group crossed a certain boundary, the castle gates opened with a loud RUMBLE! A massive Knight nearly ten meters tall, clad in black full-plate armor and wreathed in tendrils of black mist, appeared before them.

”I remember now!”

”This is the Death Knight!”

”He’s the second-level boss from the game *Soul Fighter*!”

The moment the tall, imposing black Knight appeared, Father Shen saw its form and the related memories surfaced.

”I remember something else!” he added. ”In the world of *Soul Fighter*, there’s also a final boss called the Demon King!”

With the appearance of the Death Knight, Father Shen’s memories came flooding back. He told everyone that besides this Death Knight, this special two-dimensional Game World of *Soul Fighter* also had a boss called the Demon King.

BOOM!

As Father Shen was shouting, Shen Fei had already waved his hand, deploying 500 Defense Towers and unleashing his strongest attack!

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Just as everyone expected, the Death Knight boss, which had just appeared and hadn’t even made a move, was instantly slammed against the castle behind it by an invisible force. Then, the black health bar above its head began to drain away again.

Just like the Fire Dragon Boss before, this one was defeated without even landing a single blow. Its absurdly long health bar began to empty, one bar after another.

「Three minutes later.」

After who knew how many bars, its health was finally empty.

WHOOSH.

The instant the health bar was depleted, a special Teleportation Gate appeared beneath the fallen body of the Death Knight, right where its massive skeletal horse had been.

WHOOSH.

At the same time, everyone saw a line of text appear above the head of the fallen Death Knight boss.

The text displayed: [2/3].

”Let’s go!” Shen Fei said. ”Time to fight the Demon King!”

Having figured out the pattern, Shen Fei saw the [2/3] display, immediately took the lead, and stepped onto the ridiculously placed Teleportation Gate.

WHOOSH.

With a flash of light, the group appeared on a new map.

”Is this the underworld?”

”It’s all dark stone, deep caverns, and torches?”

Visibility in the new world was poor, and someone immediately muttered under their breath.

”A Demon King? Of course he’d be in a cavern...”

With a soft chuckle, Shen Fei took the lead, heading down the only path forward.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Now incredibly experienced, Shen Fei once again began to steamroll everything in his way. Half an hour later, they saw, in the huge cavern ahead, a massive creature that seemed to be embedded in the very floor. The creature appeared to have no muscle; its entire body was just a layer of skin stretched taut over bone. Its massive mouth was split wide open, revealing rows of stark white teeth. Its pair of scarlet eyes began to flash rapidly the moment it spotted the six-person team.

”Bye-bye!”

Unfortunately for it, before the Demon King boss could even speak, the silent and unseen Cluster Attack from 500 Defense Towers slammed into it. And then... there was no ”and then.” The familiar sight of a health bar being instantly drained played out once more.

[DING!]

This time, something was different. They didn’t have to wait long before their personal panels opened automatically, lines of text scrolling across them.

[DING!]

[You have killed the three strongest bosses of the Seventeenth Ring World—the Demon King, the Death Knight, and the Fire Dragon!]

[DING!]

[Item Reward Obtained: Bisector Foil x1]

[DING!]

[Please open the Celestial Gate as soon as possible and enter the next Game World!]

[DING!]

[Player Skyrocketing’s Experience Bar has been unlocked. Experience Gained: 1,000,000,000!]

The Demon King boss was one-shotted, and the [3/3] text was finally complete. Lines of text announcing the stage clear immediately scrolled by.

WHOOSH.

Everyone saw that the boss’s health bar was still emptying. However, at the bottom of the cavern ahead, a cylinder with its own health bar had appeared. They understood that as long as they depleted this cylinder’s health, they could enter the final Game World, the one on the 18th Ring.

”So, after finishing the Sixteenth Ring and entering a new Tier, the number of strongest opponents to kill in each ring isn’t just one anymore?”

”It’s become three? Or maybe even more?”

There were no mobs around, so they didn’t rush to destroy the cylinder and proceed to the final ring’s Game World. The group stood beside the cylinder, preparing to discuss things for a moment.

By now, almost ten hours had passed. There were still over thirty hours left before the time limit for the mandatory Heaven-Opening Gate quest expired. Soon, they would be able to enter the final ring’s Game World. Under these circumstances, a discussion was essential.

After all, the Eighteenth Ring was the last Game World. It was meant to be the grand finale.

Whether it was the fact that Combat Power in the 18th Ring’s world would be boosted by nearly three hundred thousand times, or that under the new mini-stage rules, the number of strongest opponents to kill was no longer limited to one, or even that the answer to this so-called ”Heaven-Opening Gate” quest would finally be revealed... all of these things would be unveiled on the 18th Ring.

Everyone instinctively determined that this was something that required discussion and planning.

”That must be it!”

”Based on our prior experience, new mini-rules are added every four rings!”

”After the Seventeenth Ring, the targets we have to kill aren’t singular anymore. We just killed three bosses!”
