Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

But if you were to ask who the strongest boss or NPC in this Game World was, no one would have a clue.

”Dad!”

”What about you?”

None of the younger people, including Shen Fei, had any idea. All eyes turned to the eldest among them, Father Shen.

”Well... I’ve forgotten, too! I only played it a few times when I was younger...”

Seeing everyone’s expectant gazes, Father Shen tapped his head and racked his brain, trying to recall distant memories while testing the effects of his pieces in the two-dimensional world.

”Right then... let’s just brute-force it!”

Seeing his father’s predicament, Shen Fei moved like a shadow puppet, strangely tapping his own head. Then, with a wave of his hand, he summoned 500 Defense Towers. He had taken back the [Array Flag] he’d previously given to his father, and thanks to the full Version 4.2 update, the ”temporarily unusable” status on it had vanished. Now, having bound and equipped the [Array Flag], Shen Fei could control 500 Defense Towers at once.

Anyone familiar with the system knew exactly what it meant to control 500 Defense Towers simultaneously...

BOOM!

His father, the only one who had ever played *Soul Fighter*, couldn’t quite recall who they were supposed to kill because it had been so long. All Shen Fei could do was the same thing he did in the previous Game Worlds where no one emerged: resort to quick bombardment and instant kills.

BOOM!

At Shen Fei’s command, the attacks from every 100 Defense Towers formed a single beam. Instantly, the enemy turrets and humanoid soldiers carrying machine guns in their line of sight were blasted into smithereens by five columns of light.

Everything was so unfamiliar in this two-dimensional form. Lacking a third dimension, they had all become flat as paper, and even their attacks looked strange. The good news was that the monsters’ attacks were also two-dimensional. There was no such thing as a dimensional-reduction attack where a monster might strike from a third dimension.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Although this was the 17th loop of the Game World and its overall Combat Power had been increased by over 100,000 times—even the minions had health bars in the tens of billions—it was unfortunately not enough. Under the combined power of Shen Fei’s Defense Tower Cluster Attacks and his new skill that generated Bonds exponentially, even minions with tens of billions of health were instantly annihilated.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Not knowing who their target was, all the team could do was instantly kill anything that appeared in their line of sight and mindlessly push forward. This kind of skill-less approach was what Shen Fei disliked the most. But, there was no other way! Without knowing the world’s backstory, this was their only option.

.

”This isn’t the original game!”

”This might be some online retro mini-game... The original didn’t have any of this stuff!!”

A few minutes later, monsters made of a dozen or so skulls stacked vertically began to appear around the rapidly advancing team. As soon as they appeared, the monsters began horizontally throwing one Long Spear after another. To deal with the Long Spear attacks, everyone either had to jump or duck. The alternative was for Shen Fei to use his Defense Towers, like the Earth Wall Towers, to raise barriers and block the White Bone Spears.

Father Shen, who was trailing the team and wracking his brain about the game’s lore, suddenly shouted. Although his memory was hazy, he was certain that the official version of the *Soul Fighter* game didn’t have this type of monster.

A thought surfaced in Shen Fei’s mind as he heard his father. A cheap web game? That makes sense. The original *Soul Fighter* was a single-player game where you could modify the data. It couldn’t be incorporated into this system...

Unfortunately, this wasn’t good news. If this really was some cheap web game that had been modded into who-knows-what, the efficiency of their brute-force push would drop even further. Moreover, even if his father, who was thinking so hard beside him, did remember something, it would probably be useless because of all the modifications.

WHOOSH.

WHOOSH.

WHOOSH.

Rendered speechless once again by the appearance of new monsters, the six-person team continued to push forward. In this two-dimensional world, and still not knowing their main objective, all they could do was exasperatedly brute-force their way along the map. Along the way, regardless of whether they were monsters, traps, special creatures, or various structures, anything with a health bar that could be destroyed was shattered to pieces by the overwhelming barrage of attacks.

.

”A Fire Dragon!!”

”I remember!!”

”That’s the boss!!!”

”That’s it!!!!”

Half an hour passed. They had no idea how far they’d traveled. At last, a flying dragon appeared before them, its body wreathed in fire. It brandished a pair of flaming wings and took up half the sky.

The moment the flying dragon appeared, Father Shen shouted, the sudden sight jogging his memory. This was the boss.

In the game *Soul Fighter*, the players were supposed to control two characters, one red and one blue, to fight the monsters. But now, after Shen Fei and his group had entered this Game World, those characters were nowhere to be seen. So, in this peculiar two-dimensional Game World, the creatures with the highest Combat Power had to be the various bosses. And now, a boss had appeared! And some of Father Shen’s memories had returned with it.

”Take this!”

Hearing his father’s shout, Shen Fei’s eyes lit up. Then, the Cluster Attack from 500 Defense Towers instantly fired at the Fire Dragon overhead, which had a black health bar.

BOOM!

The Cluster Attack from the 500 Defense Towers became utterly silent. Under the multiple buffs from the cluster effect, the [Array Flag], and the Bonds, almost at the very instant Shen Fei launched the attack, the Fire Dragon, which had just opened its massive maw to unleash a volley of fireballs at the sight of the group, was suddenly sent flying backward.
