Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

In a small conference room at the Divine Capital’s Tourism Management Office, a group of people who had just inherited the second wave of abilities were watching a video. It showed the exact moment the Undead Calamity in Qing City was stopped and the super Gluttonous Snake was effortlessly one-shot.

”Are these really abilities from the game *Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms*?”

”Are you sure?”

After watching the videos several times in a row, the bald Vice Director finally stammered out the questions.

”Yes. The Tornado is created from Elemental Tower Bonds!” replied Huang Yi, whose account name was ”Taiyi Zhenren.” He sat beside the Vice Director. ”And that giant sword at the end is from a Ten Thousand Swords Return to the Sect tower. I have that Immortal Skill Tower, too, and mine is also Tenth Tier!”

”Holy crap!”

”Holy crap!”

”Holy crap!”

Hearing Huang Yi’s affirmative answer, all dozen or so people in the room couldn’t help but curse out loud. The monster tide that no one in the world could stop had been effortlessly resisted and cleaned up in Qing City. The Super Boss that had devoured a city was killed instantly by a single sword strike. All the leaders at the Divine Capital’s Tourism Management Office headquarters who saw the video were stunned, and after receiving Huang Yi’s confirmation, this shock turned into heart-pounding excitement.

”Chief Huang!” the Director suddenly said, cutting through the stunned silence. ”I’ll cut the crap! From now on, you’ll be the Vice Director of the Tourism Management Office headquarters. You’ll be my deputy! You won’t have to take orders from anyone but me!”

While everyone was still processing this, the big boss of the headquarters had spoken. Without consulting anyone, right there in the meeting and in front of everyone, he promoted Huang Yi once again. Moreover, he promoted him directly to a position ”second to only one” in the entire Tourism Management Office.

”Ah!!”

Hearing the Director’s words, everyone else was stunned for a moment. This was especially true for the bald Vice Director, who was the most adept at currying favor. This was the man who had recruited Huang Yi into the Tourism Management Office. He never expected that Huang Yi, who had just been promoted from probationary clerk to clerk, and then to Chief only yesterday, would become a Vice Director in the blink of an eye—and one who outranked him at that. He had just become Huang Yi’s subordinate. This left the bald Vice Director completely flabbergasted.

”...”

On the other side, Huang Yi hadn’t expected this arrangement either. After a moment of shock, he stood up and bowed. ”Thank you, Director!”

With chaotic times upon us, a higher position is of course better since I’ve chosen to join the Tourism Management Office.

He hadn’t expected the Director to promote him again after seeing Brother Chongtian’s heroic display, but he was grateful. He also hadn’t expected that just two days after inheriting his game abilities, he would become the Vice Director, second only to the Director himself. This was something he could never have imagined before.

Last night, his position had been raised from probationary clerk all the way to Chief in one go, all because of ”Skyrocketing.” Huang Yi never imagined that after watching a video of ”Skyrocketing” again tonight, he would get promoted yet again.

If you pull something like this again tomorrow night, it’s not like I can just become the head of the Tourism Management Office, can I?!!!

Thinking of his in-game friend, Skyrocketing, Huang Yi couldn’t help but sigh internally. He had joined the Tourism Management Office and hadn’t even made a formal move, yet his rank was shooting up like a rocket simply because of this guy’s actions and the videos of them. Even his sister-in-law had now become a deputy chief in some logistics department. This was something Huang Yi had never anticipated.

I understand now. I’ve likely hit the ceiling for my position at the Tourism Management Office. Becoming the Vice Director, second only to the Director, is the highest I can go at present. There’s nowhere higher to climb... I’m really grateful to you, but is it really a good idea to be so high-profile? Since you inherited Defense Towers, it means you didn’t inherit anything else. That means your health is also very low! Won’t being so conspicuous attract trouble?

Glancing at the ”9” for his health displayed on his own panel after the Version 4.2 update, Huang Yi grew worried. After joining the Tourism Management Office, he learned just how powerful an organization converted from a government body could be. Although the list of top-spending players they had collected had been destroyed by that organization called ”Ethereum Punk,” after sitting in on meetings for the past two days, Huang Yi could still sense the organization’s immense power.

Skyrocketing’s Defense Towers were formidable, but it was precisely because of the towers’ invincible power that Huang Yi knew how frail a Tower Master’s own body was. He understood that the more high-profile Skyrocketing was, the greater the risk he faced.

Just as Huang Yi was frowning, thinking about Shen Fei, he turned his head and saw the bald Vice Director’s fawning expression. The Director at the head of the table then cleared his throat twice and spoke. ”Alright! Vice Director Huang’s matter is settled! Let’s discuss this Ability User from Qing City! Previously, we gathered a piece of intelligence from the Qing City Institute of Technology. Everyone, take a look!”

As Huang Yi watched, an image appeared on the conference room’s television screen. It was a brief with only a few lines of text:

”*Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms* game, Combat Power ranking #18, account name ’Big and Small Eater.’ This individual has appeared in Qing City. According to a report from Young Master Qiao, a student at our institute, this person’s ability is extremely strong. Furthermore, in the *Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms* game, he is the famous Brother Kaipan...”

The brief was in an unusual handwritten script, clearly transmitted quickly through the Tourism Management Office’s channels.

”Someone discovered a circular safe zone in downtown Qing City!” the Director explained as everyone viewed the brief. ”According to the president of the Qing City Institute of Technology and this young man named Qiao Shan, the home of this ’Big and Small Eater,’ a young man named Sun Yu, is located right at the center of this safe zone...”

Brother Kaipan? A flicker of doubt crossed Huang Yi’s mind as he looked at the information displayed about the young man named Sun Yu. Of course, I know who Brother Kaipan is. He even chatted with me before. Moreover, I heard it straight from Skyrocketing himself: ’Brother Kaipan is my alt account.’

Seeing how powerful the Tourism Management Office truly was—that even after game abilities were inherited and chaotic times had arrived, they could still leverage their previous resources to quickly look up information on Brother Kaipan—Huang Yi marveled once again.

Could it be that the account Skyrocketing ended up inheriting was his alt, Big and Small Eater? he speculated.

He didn’t know if a player with a main account and numerous alts would preferentially inherit their main, or if the inheritance was random. But he felt that if Brother Kaipan was truly Skyrocketing’s alt, then it was possible that Skyrocketing had stored many high-level materials or Defense Towers on the Big and Small Eater account. The Brother Kaipan account, although ostensibly ranked 18th on the Combat Power charts, was the alt account of the number one player. Its hidden strength was definitely greater than what was shown!

”Additionally, just as the game company has lost control of the game, the parent network companies for platforms like QQ, WeChat, and the forums have also lost control over them!” the Director continued. ”Therefore, the old method of grabbing data directly from the software’s internal servers is no longer usable! However, we found an informant! This informant is in a fan group called the ’Skyrocketing Fan Club’! These are the recent chat logs from this group!”

”Everyone, take a look. This person speaking calls himself Brother Kaipan! Although Skyrocketing and Brother Kaipan are two different accounts in the QQ group, it’s possible they’re a main and alt account! Moreover, while this Brother Kaipan was talking, the Skyrocketing account didn’t say a word! Therefore, our preliminary deduction is that this Skyrocketing, who spent 2 billion, may have inherited his alt account, Big and Small Eater! We have reason to suspect that this Brother Kaipan is the one who defended Qing City from the beast tide!”

The Director quickly relayed the data department’s analytical conclusions. Although the apocalypse had arrived, disrupting transportation, causing numerous casualties, and making rapid analysis impossible, the Tourism Management Office was still currently the most powerful organization by leveraging the former government’s immense power. The data analysis department had already compiled the data on the big shot in Qing City and reached a basic conclusion.

”Director!” the sycophantic bald Vice Director immediately chimed in, having understood the Director’s implication. ”I think what you’re saying makes sense! The previous rumor about the 2-billion-spending whale ’Skyrocketing’ dying could also be a smokescreen released by him after inheriting his alt account!”

His words prompted many others to nod in agreement.

”Vice Director Huang, what do you think?” the Director asked, ignoring the flattery and turning his gaze to Huang Yi. ”After all, you’re also a Tower Master. Not only did you play the same game, but aside from Skyrocketing, you’re number two on the Combat Power rankings!”

”Hmm...” After a few seconds of silence, Huang Yi spoke. ”I think it’s possible! Whether it’s the intelligence from the Qing City Institute of Technology or from this QQ group with an informant, all signs point to Brother Kaipan being Skyrocketing! Although Brother Kaipan’s game Combat Power is ranked 18th, if it really is an alt account, it must have many things stored on it from the main account... Also, based on my judgment, the person in Qing City only used four Defense Towers during tonight’s attack! It’s possible that among the Defense Towers he inherited, four of them were incredibly powerful...”

Although I feel that the 18th-ranked Brother Kaipan couldn’t possibly unleash such a powerful attack. Even I, ranked second in Combat Power, can at most unleash that final Xia Country Heavy Sword, and none of the other attacks.

But for some reason, seeing everyone looking at him, he ultimately went along with the Director’s line of thought and voiced his supportive opinion.

”Good!” The Director waved his hand immediately after hearing Huang Yi. ”With Vice Director Huang’s professional support, let’s proceed with that assumption! We’ll move forward in this direction and prepare for two scenarios!”

”I’ve already sent people to get information. This young man, Sun Yu, should be living in Hengtai District. Right next to this district is Qing City’s most luxurious villa area! More importantly, this young man’s father has also inherited an ability, and he’s joined the Qing City branch of the Tourism Management Office! According to the news we’ve received, Sun Yu’s father is an old comrade-in-arms with the director of the Qing City Tourism Management Office! If we can recruit him, then with both Vice Director Huang and him, the Office will be like a tiger with wings!”

The Director looked at Huang Yi, his mind racing with possibilities. Sun Yu of Qing City had already demonstrated his power. Now that they knew his residence and that his father was in the Tourism Management Office, they had a natural foundation for an alliance. The Director was very much looking forward to this.

RUSTLE. RUSTLE. RUSTLE.

After finishing their discussion on Qing City, under the Director’s lead, the upper echelons of the Divine Capital’s Tourism Management Office headquarters moved on to other matters, such as communications with foreign powers like Japan. As Xia Country was the only one to have resisted the beast tide and one-shot the boss, other nations had already sent their related requests. These all needed to be handled by the Tourism Management Office.

Qing City.

Not long after returning from the front lines, Uncle Sun was at the Tourism Management Office’s temporary base discussing the night’s events and compiling summaries. He was caught completely off guard when Li Yunlong took a phone call and then announced he wanted to promote him to Honorary Director as well.

At this moment, the Qing City Tourism Management Office had two directors. One was Director Li Yunlong, responsible for management and coordination. The other was an Honorary Director skilled in combat—Father Shen.

”What?”

”AHH!??”

”No! No! No!”

”What is this nonsense?!”

Uncle Sun never imagined that, for no reason at all, he too was about to become an Honorary Director in the blink of an eye. During the battle just now, all he did was summon a [Soldier] chess piece. He hadn’t been nearly as dazzling as Father Shen, who had summoned a [Cannon] piece. He couldn’t understand how he was suddenly about to become a director.

The key was, he didn’t know how to be one! This was too sudden
