Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

WHOOSH.

Because of the sudden Version 4.2 update and the abrupt start of datafication, Shen Fei checked his personal panel, then immediately went to his computer and logged onto the online forums.

Who the hell could sleep at a time like this!

Datafication had started ahead of schedule. Many of the strange descriptions and Combat Power imbalances were now being standardized by the system. He had to get his hands on firsthand information and stay on top of the latest developments.

Right now, the second wave of game abilities had just been inherited, and the forums were at their most feverish.

”Live Stream: Divine Capital Tourism Management Office HQ Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Lan Ling Tourism Management Office Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Yang City Tourism Management Office Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Qing City Tourism Management Office Monster Cleanup!”

On the forums, the hottest posts right now were the live-stream videos from the various Tourism Management Offices clearing out the second wave of monsters. The hastily established Tourism Management Offices were treating tonight’s second monster invasion as their chance to make a name for themselves. All the Tourism Management Office members, in coordination with the military, public security officers, and other personnel, were rapidly clearing out the invading monsters.

In almost every city, the curtain had been raised on battle. Humanity had no time to mourn their fallen compatriots; the living needed to continue the fight.

”Live Stream: Magic Alliance Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Assassin’s Guild Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Lord’s Home Monster Cleanup!”

”Live Stream: Summoner Alliance Monster Cleanup!”

...

Besides the quasi-official Tourism Management Offices, some of the more active independent organizations were also live-streaming their monster cleanups. These players, who had gathered together because they inherited the same game abilities, were also showing off their strength to attract more people to join their teams.

”Live Stream: Ghost Hunting on Beimang Mountain!”

”Live Stream: Plumber Fixing Pipes!”

”Live Stream: Time Pausing!”

”Live Stream: Showcasing my Tailing Ability!”

...

With the advent of this chaotic era, the various forms of post deletion, comment manipulation, and the ”Harmony Divine Beasts” of internet censorship had finally vanished. In addition to the various monster cleanup threads, all sorts of posts that would have been instantly censored in the past were now also going viral.

I just want to see what this ability is all about. No other reason...

Almost involuntarily, Shen Fei clicked on the ”Live Stream: Time Pausing!” thread. He was really just curious.

...

It can only be used on ordinary people of the opposite sex who haven’t inherited game abilities?

And it only works on one person at a time?

And time can only be paused for an hour?

After clicking on the most popular thread—a showcase for an ability from an adult game—Shen Fei quickly gathered the relevant data. Looking at the data displayed in the post, he found that this ability wasn’t very powerful, at least not at the moment. He didn’t know if the streamer was intentionally downplaying the item’s strength, if the ability had yet to reach its full potential after just being inherited, or if the ”Time Pauser” item was simply this weak to begin with.

However, for now, it seemed these strange and bizarre abilities weren’t very powerful.

”LEAK!”

”LEAK!”

”I’m a mushroom caretaker, and the mushrooms I’m guarding suddenly have numerical Attributes!”

”What the hell is this!!”

”Are these Mushroom Bombs about to expire?”

While scrolling through the Forum, Shen Fei suddenly spotted a thread that didn’t have much traffic. But upon seeing its contents, he couldn’t help but tense up.

The datafication of Version 4.2 had begun. Shen Fei was stunned to find that humanity’s once most powerful weapon was also being datafied. For the ”mushrooms,” the moment they became datafied, the moment they showed stats and health bars, their deterrent power would plummet by more than half. As more and more abilities were inherited from games, the datafied Mushroom Bombs would only get weaker and weaker.

In his past life, that ”Brother Mushroom” had launched five million Mushroom Bombs across the globe about a month after the game abilities were first inherited, just as datafication began. In this life, he had already dealt with Brother Mushroom’s nuclear bombs, but datafication had also started early, and the new version was weakening the power of modern weapons like firearms.

Hm?

A moment later, as he browsed for the information he needed, another thread caught Shen Fei’s eye.

”I inherited two skills from some novel-reading app. One is [Comment] and the other is [Subscribe].”

”I can write a text [Comment] about a target. A positive comment acts like a buff, increasing their Combat Power. A negative comment acts like a debuff, weakening them. For example, if I comment, ’What is this rambling trash you’ve written?’ the target immediately gets nervous, feels an urgent need to pee, and starts trembling all over.”

”I can also [Subscribe] to a target. After subscribing, I can actually copy one of the target’s skills.”

”[Comment] has no cost, but [Subscribe] consumes Essence Qi.”

...

The contents of the post quickly registered in Shen Fei’s mind. In the thread, others had replied, saying they had also inherited abilities from the same app, receiving Combat Power-boosting titles—a whole heap of them, like Megrez Realm, Hidden Origin Realm, and Cave Enlightenment Realm...

This world is truly full of endless surprises!

Marveling at the thought, Shen Fei closed the thread. A moment later, he opened a thread that he felt was posted by someone who truly understood the situation:

”I think that if human civilization is to survive this chaotic era, we must build Base Cities like in apocalyptic novels!

”Every time game abilities are inherited, a wave of monsters randomly invades. We’re living so spread out, the casualty rate is too high!

”And this is just the first two days. As the inheritance rate increases, more and more super-strong monsters will appear!

”We humans must gather in Base Cities for a unified defense, or we’ll all be wiped out sooner or later!”
