Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

Chapter 62: Chapter 58: A Golden Horse Comes from the Sky, a Tower Pillar Destroys the White Dullard

Seeing the news of his ”death,” a smile touched Shen Fei’s lips. This was obviously because he hadn’t been active in his fan group, so someone must have mentioned his situation to a friend. Then, one person told ten, and ten told a hundred, until the news of his ”death” finally ended up here.

In the thread, the reply about the tragic death of the two-billion Krypton Gold whale already had over ten thousand likes.

”Not bad!”

”Interesting!”

Looking at the news of his own death, Shen Fei smiled faintly, quite satisfied. He liked people spreading rumors that he was dead. Only then would the attention on him die down. Otherwise, once everyone inherited their game abilities and began to grasp the implications, he would become a public target.

When everyone experienced the power that came with inheriting their game abilities and calculated that his Krypton Gold investment would be amplified a thousandfold, he would definitely become everyone’s enemy. When a group of people compete, the first to die is, more often than not, the strongest. And he was, by all public accounts, the strongest. Too many people knew that he’d spent two billion on Krypton Gold!

With countless Defense Towers, he naturally wasn’t afraid. Not being afraid was one thing, but the hassle was another matter entirely.

Right now, the rumor that he was dead was perfect. Who says spending two billion automatically makes you number one? That guy might have died right at the start!

If someone exposes that I’m still alive, I’ll just hire an army of bots to muddy the waters!

He took another look at the information about himself, and the hacker ”Chafeng Machine Type I,” whom he had contacted earlier, came to mind. Just now, in the Heaven-Reaching Gang’s QQ group, he had said that he was still alive. He also told everyone to keep a low profile and not to run their mouths. But there was still a high probability that the news of him being alive would leak, as there were several thousand people in the group.

His other insurance policy was the hacker he had added a few days ago. The hacker he had met by chance while dealing with ”Mushroom Enthusiast” was his second line of defense.

I wonder how their Ethereum Punk technology inheritance is coming along?

A thought flashed through his mind, and Shen Fei opened another trending post: ”Why didn’t I inherit my game abilities either!”

”I’m not a game company owner or a GM, I didn’t play on a private server, and I didn’t have an insider secretly change my data!!”

”Heavens! Why didn’t I inherit anything!”

”Version 4.0, what the hell are you doing!”

”Oh, you mysterious lord of rules, explain this to me!”

Another massively popular post was also about people not inheriting their game abilities. This group of people hadn’t been involved with insider accounts, but still hadn’t inherited any abilities.

”I’m a Stellar player! I clearly chose to inherit from that game, but my Cosmic Battleship didn’t get inherited! I was planning on flying my Cosmic Battleship around and making you all call me daddy!”

”I play a war game. My friend’s tank was inherited, but my aircraft carrier wasn’t!”

”I play Infinite Lagrange! I didn’t get a damn thing! My space fortress and all that stuff, not even a single part!”

Countless space- and sea-related games also hadn’t been inherited into reality. Looking at the post, Shen Fei understood this was because the version update hadn’t arrived yet. In the future, once the version updated again, these players would be in for a big surprise.

No anomalies! Is the anomaly happening only to me?

He read through several trending posts in a row. Shen Fei didn’t find anything different from his previous life. No events had occurred that were beyond his expectations. At least, that’s how it seemed from what he saw online. Everything was exactly the same as in his memory.

No one was talking about version 4.1, nor was anyone talking about inheriting an extra item after 4.1. No one was talking about how killing people would drop items, either. And certainly, no one was discussing things that only appeared in later versions.

”Strange...” he muttered, then opened another popular post. The title of this one was very interesting: ”After Inheriting My Game Abilities, the Goddess Started Sucking Up to Me.”

”Awesome! Awesome!”

”The game abilities really were inherited!”

”My boss just called me, said he wants to marry his daughter to me!”

”The girl of my dreams ran to my house overnight!”

”My goddess is kneeling at my door singing ’Conquer’!”

”I’m a mover, and I inherited a mover’s abilities. Now I can lift a shipping container in one go. My boss runs a delivery company and said he’d give me shares if I keep working for him.”

”I’m a plumber who specializes in fixing pipes, and anything I touch starts gushing water... The game ability I inherited makes anything I touch gush water. Does the missus need her pipes fixed? You guys wanna see? Scan the code to join the group, pay to view. A Venetian never scams a Venetian!”

Because of the ability inheritance, all sorts of strange and bizarre powers had appeared. Aside from normal game abilities, abilities from adult games—like X-ray vision, the golden finger, time-stop, the plumber, etc.—were also inherited. In this popular post Shen Fei was looking at, ads were flying everywhere.

Game sections have already appeared?

Just as he closed the ad-filled thread, Shen Fei saw that the game forum had actually been updated with several new sections: ”Magic Alliance,” ”Cultivator Alliance,” ”Martial Arts Alliance,” ”Lord Alliance,” ”Qi Fighting Alliance,” ”Summoner Alliance,” ”Old Six Alliance,” ”Minotaur Alliance,” ”Home of the Second Dimension”...

The forum now had many new sections. As time passed, some people had already begun to organize, compile, and categorize the various game abilities that were inherited. The savvy game forum had already updated the relevant sections, giving panicked players a place to find their people and a sense of belonging.

What a load of crap!

Watching some of the more outgoing players already recruiting for their respective alliances and sections, Shen Fei couldn’t help but laugh. These alliances, once the NPC armies and factions arrived, would mostly fall apart.

After the game abilities were fully inherited and the NPC armies descended, NPCs from countless worlds would descend upon an enlarged Earth. In the face of the NPCs, humanity would account for less than 1% of the total population. In the face of this overwhelming tide, most of the players who formed these alliances would just end up joining the NPC factions.

Right now, these newly created sections and alliances looked popular, but they were actually completely useless!

SWOOSH. SWOOSH. SWOOSH.

He scrolled through pretty much all the popular posts online. He confirmed that the situation hadn’t changed much and his foreknowledge was still valid. Greatly relieved, Shen Fei decided to log into the game and check things out.

He had already seen countless players posting on the forum that the NPCs and bosses in their games had mutated. Although they hadn’t descended into reality yet, many had already started to speak and communicate proactively. Even some evil bosses were directly using game dialogue boxes to tempt players into welcoming their arrival.

”Hm?”

Suddenly, Shen Fei saw a post whose popularity had shot up from nowhere to first place in an instant.
