Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 2300: Chapter 2295: New Colleague

So the four of you gathered here, working on archival organization?

This makes much more sense now.

After all, this task doesn’t rely heavily on strength, just patience with a bit of mental resistance.

Why emphasize mental resistance?

Looking at everyone’s expressions earlier makes it obvious; the instructors’ unexpected ideas hit with a force comparable to that of the giant dragon girl.

Reviewing everything, those with slightly lower acceptance levels might soon apply for work-related injuries.

In pondering, Fu Qian casually flipped through a few more, feeling the vigorous energy of Heaven’s Commencement Institute.

”Open it to the entire Academy? Do you think embarrassing yourself at Divine Ashes isn’t enough?”

It’s a pity not everyone can see the positive side.

It’s evident that when Professor Lisa unloaded the president’s plan, she hoped Professor Fu would be shocked by those outrageous ideas and find a way to prevent them.

Instead, you not only blindly supported the decision but are also prepared to execute it two hundred percent?

At times, her voice rose sharply.

As for the three little helpers, their eyes were quite vacant.

”Vision, Professor Lisa.”

In response to this incredulity, Fu Qian didn’t even bother arguing about the embarrassment, just raised his hand and pointed to his eyes.

”Is your focus solely on displaying the style of Heaven’s Commencement Institute? To me, President Cass’s plan for the archive room will be a milestone for the Academy’s development.”

He sighed deeply, stood up, and as he stood with hands behind his back, there was both admiration and a pioneer’s lament at being misunderstood.

”Similar in nature within the Academy is perhaps the Sword Pavilion of the Swordsmanship Department, which is only open to staff and students... now with the archive room, for those always emphasizing mental fortitude, candidly, it’s sure to be a jolt to their cultivation hearts.

”But are we striving just for this spirit? No, humbled, then brave, I can fully imagine the Swordsmanship Department’s response, a self-breakthrough under stimulation... then continue to trigger more chain reactions.

”Externally, for the Night Watchman side, this openness and introspection is clearly something greatly welcomed, and the negative impacts from some small incidents before will be largely eliminated.”

...

Isn’t this a bit exaggerated?

Amidst these profound policy interpretations, the warm laboratory fell silent.

Through the corner of the eye, Professor Lisa still frowned, but looked somewhat convinced.

Her expression towards the matters at hand showed slightly less disdain.

”Professor Fu.”

At this moment, it was Ji Liushuang who broke the silence, pushing over a prepared drink, gently calling out.

”You actually did very well; Cass didn’t misjudge you.”

Such a cute entry softened the atmosphere immediately.

Laughing heartily, Fu Qian sat back, took a sip, and suddenly turned to praise Lisa.

... Was this transition a bit too abrupt?

With repeated shifts, Lisa as the subject showed even more confusion in her eyes.

Clearly, she didn’t think she did exceptionally well.

”Didn’t you realize, the people you gathered here?”

Shaking his head, Fu Qian smiled as he pointed at the other three.

”A top student from the Swordsmanship Department, a guest genius from Divine Ashes Institute, and even a freelancer... Among these three sturdy hands you gathered, genuine inclusiveness has already been shown.

”Aside from believing in their work abilities, you might say, unknowingly, you have already grasped the intention behind the president’s plan and even executed it... I’m sure Cass seeing this scene would feel more gratified than I do.”

...

The way you said it, it’s hard to argue.

Facing such praise, Professor Lisa clearly struggled to organize her words.

After all, being interpreted as subconscious behavior reduces the significance of saying she didn’t intend it...

”Mainly trusting your judgment.”

Exchanging glances, Lisa squeezed out a sentence of sincere mutual praise at last.

”Oh? I don’t recall recommending them?”

Taking another sip, Fu Qian was momentarily curious.

”Really? Weren’t they all verified reliable by you?”

Lisa casually countered, gesturing to the three with her eyes.

This was indeed the case.

One has to admit Lisa’s angle was astute, as all three seemed to have their reasons for being here.

Nodding slightly, Fu Qian was not humble for a moment.

”Besides, you got one thing wrong, she is no longer a freelancer.”

Recovering some momentum, Professor Lisa immediately seized the advantage, pointing to Riet nearby.

”Oh? In what way?”

Fu Qian looked over, seeing Riet’s slightly apprehensive expression.

Honestly, her volunteering here was indeed stranger than Wen Li’s.

After all, the latter at least still has inseparable ties to the Academy, whereas Riet was merely a temporary student’s relative.

”Upon learning Riet’s story, Cass greatly admired her passion for the Transcendent, inviting her to join Heaven’s Commencement Institute in an administrative role.”

Without prolonging the suspense, Lisa casually explained.

Ah? So even the sister got a formal position first?

...

This must be what they call the irony of fate.

Regarding the news Lisa brought, Fu Qian had mixed feelings for a moment.

The talented elder sister made her younger sister envious from childhood, prompting the latter to act a bit willfully at times.

Ultimately, once accepting reality, the younger sister proactively assisted in her sister’s growth, accepting her own Muggle fate gracefully.

As it turned out, when the elder sister wasn’t expected to undergo such a reversal while receiving higher education nurturing, the younger sister unexpectedly secured a formal post.

In summary, it was full of the impermanent nature of the world and what it means to achieve each other.

Moreover, for Riet now, such a position seems quite suitable.

”Congratulations, we’ll be colleagues from now on.”

At this moment, using tea as a substitute for wine, Fu Qian even nodded toward the person in question.

”I have always been in your debt, Professor Fu.”

Being a bit younger, she couldn’t manage overly calm politeness.

Facing Fu Qian’s earnest demeanor, Riet’s response showed some nervousness and caution, yet it was quite sincere.

”So you’re actually screening and organizing content for storage? That really is meticulous work, I won’t interrupt.”

Waving his hand without imposing further pressure, Fu Qian placed down the empty cup, preparing to take his leave.

”Indeed, some are quite unbearable... But you talked so passionately about its importance for the Academy’s development, and yet you’re not staying to help?”

Once she snapped out of it, Lisa wasn’t about to let him off easily.

”So, has the decision to open to the entire Academy been settled?”

Fu Qian’s expression remained unchanged.

Hmm...

”So should I first find Cass to finalize it?”
