Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 649, My God, The Dragon Domain is So Massive!?

Translator: Silavin

As Starry Space Passage was upgraded to Max Level, the Skill Icon also changed to gold, and the Skill Effect had also changed.

Originally, Starry Space Passage could only pass through some Arrays and similar restrictions, but was unable to pass through Dungeon Instances, Secret Realms and such places.

Now, however, this Skill was no longer restricted by the Map Mechanics of Secret Realms, Dungeon Instances and the like. This meant complete freedom to travel to any location!

With this Skill, Lu Fan would be able to completely ignore any Dungeon Instance requirements of participant numbers or Level. He would be able to directly enter Dungeon Instances in the future!

It was simply Heaven Defying!

Seeing that Lu Fan was extremely satisfied with the Skill’s new Effect, the Starry Sky Ancestor also felt deeply gratified and spoke. “It appears you are satisfied with this Skill? Excellent. I am but an aged old Starry Sky Dragon. Given your life-saving grace, I fear I cannot produce too many things to express my gratitude. Being able to provide Rewards to your satisfaction truly brings me great satisfaction as well.”

“Do note that the Map Information has already been updated in your Mission Panel. Please do try to follow the route I have marked after entering the Dragon Domain. Absolutely do not wander about carelessly. Especially avoid those areas marked as Forbidden Zones. You must not approach them under any circumstances! Those places contain Dragon Kings, who are all in the Eternal Phase!”

Upon hearing this, Lu Fan nodded repeatedly.

Eternal Phase Dragon Kings were indeed remarkable existences, representing the Supremes in this world. Lu Fan estimates they should be around Level 190 or so.

At his current Level, even with Xiao Ye and so many Pet Dragon Kings, he would most likely still end up getting devoured in one bite.

Even the Devouring Dragon King would absolutely not dare to openly provoke the other Dragon Kings. She had only dared to provoke that Blade Armour Dragon King by joining forces with a Hell Poison Dragon King. Moreover, the Blade Armour Dragon King was not, strictly speaking, a Combat Specialised Dragon.

The strength of Eternal Phase Combat Specialised Dragon Kings was something Lu Fan dared not even contemplate at present!

Noticing that the Mission Panel had already updated with the Map Information, Lu Fan hastily opened the Map to examine what the Dragon Domain would be like, how many Forbidden Zones it contained, and what route he should take.

However, the moment he opened it, Lu Fan was left agape. “My God, the Dragon Domain is so massive!?”

On the Map, the area of the Dragon Domain was almost equivalent to two Dragon Countries! Moreover, this was only the region marked on the Map! There were still many black areas, which should be places that even the Starry Sky Ancestor had not explored, therefore could not be displayed on the Map.

The black regions occupied approximately half of the Dragon Domain, which Lu Fan had not expected. [To think that the Starry Sky Ancestor, an Eternal Phase Dragon, had not even fully mapped out his own homeland…]

The Starry Sky Ancestor, perhaps sensing what Lu Fan was thinking, said awkwardly. “Though Dragon Domain is vast, the number of Giant Dragons within it is not particularly numerous. They are approximately ten thousand or so of us. Among them, the majority of Giant Dragons have their own territories. It had to be said that they tend to be territorial. So, other Dragons who venture in recklessly will be considered an act of aggression and might lead to a fight.”

“I am inherently a Rootless Dragon. I had only wished to remain by Mother’s side. When I later travelled the Ancient Starry Sky Path alone, I never returned to the Dragon Domain. So, my understanding of the Dragon Domain extends only thus far. Still, this Map should be enough to allow you to safely reach the Valley of Life. You only need to follow the route I have marked.”

Lu Fan continued examining the Map and soon discovered the route marked by the Starry Sky Ancestor.

This route began at somewhere called ‘Dragon Head Peak’, wound through the middle in a meandering fashion, bypassing some dangerous areas, and ultimately reached Valley of Life.

The journey would not be short. Even riding Ye Sha, it would probably take Lu Fan approximately three days.

However, regardless of circumstances, as long as the route was safe, Lu Fan did not mind wasting some time on the road. After all, this time, he had the opportunity to explore the real Dragon Domain, which was a High Level Map that many people could only dream of.

After confirming everything was correct, Lu Fan immediately decided to depart.

Before leaving, Lu Fan asked Murong Sheng to relay a message to Ye Wuxian, to inform her about the situation.

He should simply say that he was helping the Starry Sky Ancestor find a method to extend his life and needed to visit a High Level Map.

Murong Sheng agreed, and thereafter Lu Fan wasted no time, directly casting Dragon Domain within the Secret Realm where the Starry Sky Ancestor resided.

This time, when casting Dragon Domain, Lu Fan pulled the Starry Sky Ancestor into it as well.

This was something the Starry Sky Ancestor wanted. Having been away from the Dragon Domain for tens of thousands of years, he also wished to return and have a look.

Although he could not pass through the Skill’s barrier, being able to look at the Dragon Domain from afar across the barrier would suffice.

With the Skill’s activation, Lu Fan and his Pet Dragons, along with the Starry Sky Ancestor, all entered the Dragon Domain.

This place remained the same as before, atop a mountain peak.

Below the summit, clouds and mist swirled, making it impossible to see anything clearly.

The Starry Sky Ancestor prostrated on the ground, stretched out his neck, looked around in all directions, and heartily laughed. “Indeed, this is undoubtedly the Dragon Domain! This aura, this scenery. How nostalgic!”

“This place is called Dragon Head Peak, where one is transported after entering the Dragon Domain through a Transport Array. Anyone wishing to return to the Dragon Domain will inevitably first arrive here.”

Speaking thus far, the Starry Sky Ancestor wept tears of old age, and shook his head. “I hope I still have enough life to return here myself and see Mother once more.”

“All these years I have drifted along the Ancient Starry Sky Path, not having returned home to see her for so long. How truly shameful of me.”

Lu Fan waved his hand. “Just wait for me to return with the Life Fruit, and then personally go see her. By the way, at that time, it would be best if you could take me to tour other places in the Dragon Domain. I am very curious to know whether the Dragon Domain contains any Secret Realms, Dungeon Instances or similar structures, or what materials might be collected there.”

The Dragon Domain was an unexplored Map that no Human had pioneered. If Lu Fan could explore it with the assistance of the Starry Sky Ancestor, an Eternal Phase Giant Dragon, he would certainly have an abundant feast!

The Starry Sky Ancestor naturally had no objections, as Dragon Domain indeed contained many resources useful to Players but utterly useless to Giant Dragons.

The Man and Dragon immediately reached an agreement, and Lu Fan no longer lingered within the Dragon Domain Skill.

He bid farewell to the Starry Sky Ancestor, then mounted Xing Chen and had her cast Starry Space Passage.

As a starry passageway opened, Lu Fan rode Xing Chen through it and indeed passed directly through the Skill barrier, emerging outside and entering the true Dragon Domain!

The barrier formed by the Dragon Domain Skill also disappeared with Lu Fan’s departure. The Starry Sky Ancestor, remaining within, was transported back to the Secret Realm of the Murong Family.

Silavin: Originally, Lu Fan asked the Murong Family to not say anything about him going to the Dragon Domain lest she worries. But, in later chaps, they said the family told her. So, just going to remove his request in this chap.
