Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 648, Golden Skill Icon, Max Level Starry Space Passage

Upon hearing this, the Starry Sky Ancestor replied nonchalantly. “I naturally understand your point. But we Starry Sky Dragon have a special trait that can help solve this problem for the both of us.”

“For us Starry Sky Dragon, our body is merely a shell. Our true source of power lies in the Power of the Stars within our bodies. The Power of the Stars contains many things, including Skills amongst them. Anything that can be stored within the Power of the Stars, and we Starry Sky Dragons can transmit this to each other.”

“In short, I only need to transfer a portion of the Power of the Stars within my body that contains the Starry Space Passage Skill, and pass it onto your Starry Sky Dragon King. This will help raise her Starry Space Passage Skill to Max Level.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Fan was greatly astonished and said, “To think the Racial Trait of the Starry Sky Dragon is so miraculous?!”

The Starry Sky Ancestor nodded and said, “Indeed, amongst the different Giant Dragon Clans, we Starry Sky Dragons are a rather peculiar existence. We are by no means inferior to the Jade Dragons.”

“If I can live out a second life, I will be able to possess a younger and stronger body. At that time, the Power of the Stars within my body won’t actually be needed anymore.”

“To express my gratitude for your life-saving grace, at that time, I can inject all the Power of the Stars within my body into your Starry Sky Dragon King, allowing her to rapidly grow.”

After a pause, the Starry Sky Ancestor pondered for a moment and continued, “Of course, if the Starry Sky Dragon King had not already become your Pet Dragon, I could have allowed it to gain eighty percent of this body’s strength. But, since she is your Pet Dragon, her Level will be restricted. Even if she receives my Power of the Stars, she cannot possibly become an Eternal Phase Giant Dragon.”

“At most, my Power of the Stars would be able to raise all her Skills to Max Level. As for other effects, they may not necessarily be triggered. So, what I can do is only this much. If you and the Starry Sky Dragon King do not mind, once I live out my second life, I shall present the Power of the Stars within this broken body as a token of gratitude to the both of you.”

Lu Fan naturally had no reason to refuse and nodded repeatedly, “Even if her Level cannot be raised, being able to improve her Skill Level is already a great gift. Since this is the case, we shall help with this task!”

A smile appeared on the Starry Sky Ancestor’s massive Dragon Face, “Then, I shall trouble you both.”

As the Starry Sky Ancestor’s words fell, Lu Fan discovered that his Mission Panel had actually changed.

Mission: Seek our Life Fruit for the Starry Sky Ancestor
Difficulty: Nightmare

Time Limit: Before the Starry Sky Ancestor’s death

Description: Obtain the Life Fruit of the Life Dragon King  – Root of Everything for the Starry Sky Ancestor, helping it live out its second life.

Rewards:

First Reward: Raise Pet, Starry Sky Dragon King – Incarnation of Starlight’s Skill Starry Space Passage to Max Level.

Second Reward: Raise all Skills of Pet, Starry Sky Dragon King – Incarnation of Starlight to Max Level, with a certain probability of triggering Additional Rewards.

As if seeing that Lu Fan had noticed the changes in his Mission Panel, the Starry Sky Ancestor explained, “This is the Mechanics of this world. I believe that after issuing you a Mission, you should have faith in what I said.”

Indeed, generally speaking, once a Mission was issued, it became subjected to the influence of this world’s Mechanics. If Lu Fan truly brings the item, and the Starry Sky Dragon King does not provide the stated Reward, he would be punished by the Heavenly Dao.

Even though the Starry Sky Ancestor was an Eternal Phase Giant Dragon, already capable of influencing Map Mechanics and accomplishing things like issuing Missions to Players, he cannot completely violate the Mechanics of the world. Once a Mission was issued, after the other party accomplishes it, he must inevitably honour it.

This constitutes an exceptionally powerful contract, with binding effects even stronger than the contract signed between Lu Fan and the Devouring Dragon King.

Lu Fan nodded and said. “Since you’ve shown such sincerity, and I am quite satisfied with your Reward, I shall accept this Mission. But, since you say you were born and raised by the Life Dragon King, you should also know her location, right?”

“I don’t understand Dragon Domain very well. Although I have a guide who can lead the way, a Level 70 Player like myself might find exploration of the Dragon Domain to be truly difficult. If you could provide me with the Life Dragon King’s Map Coordinates, this journey would be safer for me.”

The Starry Sky Ancestor naturally agreed. “No problem. I can provide you with Mother’s Map Coordinates. As the Life Dragon King, she has always existed within the Valley of Life and generally does not venture out.”

“I shall later add some Map Information to your Mission. That way, if you follow the route marked in your Map, you won’t encounter other Dragons. Although you bear no grudges with other Dragons, and theoretically they should not bring any harm to you. But we Dragons have always been proud. Some would not be able to bear seeing a Lower Life Form wandering about in our territory… Er… Of course, I don’t mean to say that you are a Lower Life Form. It’s just that many Giant Dragons who are hostile towards other races would indeed think this way…”

Lu Fan waved his hand and said, “I get it, you need not explain further. I already expected as much. I too do not wish to encounter other Dragons. Should I be attacked, with my strength, I may not necessarily be able to protect myself. I at least possess this much self-awareness.”

The Starry Sky Ancestor smiled embarrassedly and said, “It’s good that you understand. Then I shall now first help the Starry Sky Dragon King raise the Level of her Starry Space Passage, then add the Map Information to your Mission Panel. After everything is completed, I shall await your good news here.”

“En, no problem.” Lu Fan agreed.

Subsequently, the Starry Sky Dragon King indeed closed both eyes, and before long, a star within his body began glowing particularly dazzlingly and flew out. At first glance, one could tell it differed from other stars.

This was one of his main stars, which always existed within his body, representing his Source. Under normal circumstances, it would not leave his body.

After all, once this star was lost, it would greatly impact his strength since this star carried a portion of his strength.

As the star flew out and fell into Xing Chen’s body, Xing Chen absorbed it into her body without any difficulty.

Immediately following this, Lu Fan discovered that Xing Chen’s Starry Space Passage Skill had been raised to Max Level, and the Skill Icon had also turned golden.

Starry Space Passage (Active Skill, LV Max) – The Star Dragon King can tear space to create a traversable starry passageway. This Skill can ignore barriers in space created by restrictions, environments, and objects. Use of this Skill is not limited to the Space Principles of Secret Realms, Dungeon Instances, and other special spaces.
