Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 769: Chapter 768: Who do you think is next?

Seeing her in this state, Emma Harguez didn’t know what to say. After all, she really hadn’t expected Nia Mitchell to abandon all dignity like this.

She was, after all, an elder. It was impossible for her to resort to physical violence, and cursing was out of the question too. She still possessed that basic etiquette. She turned her head and looked at Aldy Mitchell, who stood to the side.

”You mustn’t learn from your sister in the future. You need to respect your elders and other people.”

Although Emma Harguez was ostensibly lecturing Aldy Mitchell, every word was aimed at Nia Mitchell.

Nia Mitchell paid her no mind and simply sat down nearby.

Just then, the phone rang.

Nia Mitchell walked over to the window and answered it.

”Hello?”

”Nia Mitchell, are you scared?”

Huh? Nia Mitchell froze. Hearing Belinda Swan’s voice, she immediately furrowed her brow.

”What do you mean by that?” Nia Mitchell’s voice immediately rose as she asked sharply.

”Don’t you know what I mean? I’m going to repay you for all the suffering you’ve put me through, bit by bit.”

Belinda Swan’s crazed shouts were so bloodcurdling they made one’s hair stand on end.

Nia Mitchell instantly clenched her fists. This call... she’s clearly telling me that what happened to Aldy Mitchell at School was no accident.

”What exactly are you trying to do?” Nia Mitchell questioned, a hint of panic in her eyes.

Everyone sensed the unsettling atmosphere. They fell silent, looking at the enraged Nia Mitchell standing by the window.

Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating her face. Since she was facing the window, no one could see her expression.

”The first was your brother. Who’s next?” Belinda Swan taunted, her voice laced with glee. ”How about your father?”

”You dare!” Nia Mitchell roared.

”Belinda Swan, you’ll pay for this! Don’t you dare— Hello? Hello? Hello!”

Damn it! Nia Mitchell glared at the phone in her hand, the call already ended. She was practically seething with a rage that bordered on madness.

”Nia, what’s wrong?” Mr. Mitchell immediately came over to ask. Aldy Mitchell, lying in bed, also looked worried.

”Nothing.” Seeing their worried faces, Nia Mitchell struggled to control her anger, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.

”Dad, stay in the Hospital today. Don’t go out,” Nia Mitchell paused for a moment before adding the instruction.

She had wanted to leave, but with this sudden development, how could she possibly go now?

Without hesitation, Nia Mitchell immediately dialed Owen Lewis’s number.

At this hour, Uncle should still be on the plane, not yet in Capital Town.

「Black Market」

Owen Lewis stepped out of the bathroom after a cold shower, his upper body bare, revealing the wolf tattoo on his skin.

”Hello?”

Owen Lewis, of course, had Nia Mitchell’s number. He was a little curious why she was calling him now.

”Belinda Swan just threatened me over the phone,” Nia Mitchell said, her voice low so the others in the ward wouldn’t hear.

”Mm,” Owen Lewis acknowledged with a nod. For someone like him, who had faced countless dangers, this was hardly anything.

Was this really something she needed to call him about specifically? What did she expect him to do? Threaten Belinda Swan back for her?

Nia Mitchell slipped past everyone in the ward and went out into the corridor alone.

”She admitted that my brother’s fall down the stairs at School—the one that injured him—was her doing. And she said her next target is my father.”
