Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 1147: Chapter 1146: Tonight, my husband’s cooked noodles for you to eat! (5 updates)

After the hospital opened, the number of people coming to see the doctor gradually increased, almost to the point of being overcrowded.

Because on the first day of free consultations, the skills displayed by Ye Haochuan became known to everyone, and the title of Junior Godly Doctor spread quickly, attracting many people from the Imperial Capital.

Since it hadn’t been long since the opening, Ye Haochuan also scheduled some time to come here for consultations nearly every day, and the clinic’s entrance was crowded with people.

Zhang Chunsheng had already come for acupuncture three times. Under Ye Haochuan’s treatment, his chronic illness was gradually improving. On that day, his case was precisely the one that had made Ye Haochuan’s name greatly renowned. Therefore, Ye Haochuan had a special concern for him.

After administering acupuncture to Zhang Chunsheng again, Ye Haochuan said, ”You’re recovering well, but remember to take your medication on time, and you must absolutely avoid heavy labor until you’re fully healed.”

After thanking him repeatedly, Zhang Chunsheng took the prescription to the pharmacy to get his medication.

”Divine Doctor, please see me quickly!”

”Hurry up, those in the front!”

The crowd was noisy, with many people at the back urging, as Ye Haochuan’s consultation time was limited each day, and some people queued for half a day yet couldn’t see the doctor.

Looking at the long queue, Ye Haochuan said helplessly, ”Those with colds, fevers, minor ailments should go to other doctors, I’m really overwhelmed here.”

However, not a single person was willing to leave.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted from the back of the queue: ”Hey, why are you pushing? Don’t you know you need to queue?”

”Do you understand ’first come, first served’? Go line up at the back!”

A few people pushed through the crowd into the clinic and said, ”Everyone, please step aside, we’re from the Holy Medical Alliance.”

In the Imperial Capital, the name Holy Medical Alliance was still very influential. Immediately, the crowd stopped making noise and stood aside, watching quietly.

Ye Haochuan immediately frowned, stood up, and asked, ”I wonder what brings people from the Holy Medical Alliance here?”

One person replied, ”Hmph, it’s definitely not for coming to have tea with you.”

The leader said, ”Hello, my name is Wu Tong, and I’m a deacon of the Holy Medical Alliance.”

Wu Tong spoke very politely, so Ye Haochuan replied, ”Hello, I have quite a few patients here, and my time is limited. If you have something to say, please make it quick, I’m quite busy.”

Wu Tong said, ”Today, I’m afraid you won’t be able to practice medicine any longer.”

Ye Haochuan’s expression turned stern, and he said coldly, ”What, are you here to make trouble?”

Wu Tong shook his head and said, ”According to Xuanmen regulations, a cultivator must have a Holy Medical Alliance’s medical practice license to treat patients among common people, Doctor Ye. Could you please provide yours?”

This regulation had existed in Xuanmen for a long time. However, as time passed and the number of medical practitioners grew significantly, this regulation had merely become nominal, and few adhered to it.

So now, the Holy Medical Alliance’s demand for Ye Haochuan to present the license was clearly picking a fight with him on purpose.

However, Ye Haochuan had no choice but to accept this outcome since the regulation was still in place, and if the Holy Medical Alliance wanted to pursue it, he had to concede.

Ye Haochuan shook his head at Wu Tong and said, ”Sorry, I don’t have it.”

”If you don’t have it, then I can only say sorry. As long as you don’t have the Holy Medical Alliance’s license, Doctor Ye, you cannot practice medicine,” Wu Tong said.

Ye Haochuan said, ”Although I’m a cultivator, I only use normal silver needles when treating patients and haven’t used spiritual energy. Isn’t this allowed?”

Wu Tong shook his head and said, ”No, the regulations clearly state that cultivators must have a Holy Medical Alliance license to practice medicine, regardless of the method used.”

”Everyone, disperse! Since he doesn’t have the Holy Medical Alliance license, he cannot practice medicine anymore from now on!”

One of the Holy Medical Alliance members shouted, and the people at the back immediately grumbled in dissatisfaction.

”What’s going on, I’ve waited so long, and now I can’t get treated?”

Members of the Holy Medical Alliance said, ”Please understand, we’re doing this for your own good. We need to act according to the regulations, and we hope everyone cooperates.”

Once the Holy Medical Alliance name was brought up again, anyone who was dissatisfied could only complain in private.

”Then, may I ask, when can we come back to consult Doctor Ye?” someone asked.

Wu Tong replied, ”Once Doctor Ye obtains the Holy Medical Alliance license, he can practice medicine again.”

”Oh...who knows how long that will take!” someone familiar with the Holy Medical Alliance knew that obtaining their license wasn’t easy, so they sighed immediately.

Ye Haochuan, however, smiled confidently and said, ”Don’t be too disappointed; it’s just a license. I’ll get it soon and return to treat patients.”

Ye Haochuan knew the hospital’s initial phases depended heavily on him, so he needed to ensure people’s trust. Once they trusted the hospital, Ye Haochuan could gradually fade from the public’s view.

Immediately, Ye Haochuan looked at Wu Tong and asked, ”Could you tell me when the Holy Medical Alliance examination usually takes place?”

Wu Tong replied, ”The Holy Medical Alliance conducts a license exam every month, you’re quite lucky, this month’s exam is tomorrow.”

Ye Haochuan then addressed the patients, saying, ”Everyone, please go back today, and return the day after tomorrow for treatment.”

Wu Tong couldn’t help but laugh, ”You underestimate the Holy Medical Alliance’s exam.”

Ye Haochuan said, ”I don’t underestimate the Holy Medical Alliance; I’m just confident in myself.”

Ye Haochuan didn’t sit for consultations today, so everyone had to leave, and the previously bustling hospital became serene.

Xiao Haimei received the news and quickly made her way there.

”I heard people from the Holy Medical Alliance came. What exactly happened?”

”Nothing much, just a deliberate trouble since I don’t have the Holy Medical Alliance license, preventing me from sitting for consultations.”

Xiao Haimei said in surprise, ”Are you saying someone is deliberately targeting you?”

Ye Haochuan thought for a moment and said, ”This probably has something to do with that Old Man He.”

On the day of the free consultations, He Qing’s face was lost, and Ye Haochuan guessed that he must hold a grudge in his heart. Adding together old and new grievances, it wasn’t surprising if He Qing wanted to retaliate against him.

Xiao Haimei, however, said, ”Could it be that Su Manni is behind this?”

Unable to compete with Xiao Haimei in the hospital industry, Su Manni might resort to other means to squeeze her out, Xiao Haimei speculated.

”Her? Probably not...” Ye Haochuan thought that Su Manni targeted Xiao Haimei, not himself, so he still believed it’s more likely to be He Qing.

Anyway, it didn’t matter who it was. It’s just a Holy Medical Alliance license, not the sun in the sky. Ye Haochuan thought obtaining it wouldn’t take long.

”I’m heading over to the Holy Medical Alliance soon, I shouldn’t be back at the hospital.” With the exam tomorrow, Ye Haochuan needed to register today or he’d have to wait another month.

Xiao Haimei nodded and said, ”Go ahead, without you here, the hospital won’t be as busy, I’ll be home for dinner tonight.”

”Alright then, your husband will cook noodles for you tonight!” Ye Haochuan gave Xiao Haimei a peck on the lips and smiled mischievously.

”Good!” Xiao Haimei smiled charmingly.
