Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 1136: Chapter 1135: Hey! Are you deliberately picking a fight? (4th update)

Unable to find Kou Jing, Ye Haochuan felt quite depressed. The only consolation was the strength at the Foundation Establishment Mid-Stage passed on to Kou Jing by the old woman before she died.

With the strength of the Foundation Establishment Mid-Stage, Kou Jing should be fine as long as nothing unexpected happens.

As he was trying to comfort himself, Xiao Haimei suddenly came over, sat with him, and held his arm, saying, ”Haochuan, the branch of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital is opening in the Imperial Capital, and I want you to oversee it and conduct a free clinic on the opening day.”

”The branch of the Affiliated Hospital is opening? In the Imperial Capital?”

Ye Haochuan was very surprised. Xiao Haimei had many businesses, so why did she need to open a hospital? Normally, affiliated hospitals don’t relocate to other places.

”Yes, is there a problem?” Xiao Haimei asked.

”Of course there’s a problem. You’ve just arrived in the Imperial Capital, don’t tire yourself out by expanding so many businesses at once. What will happen if you wear yourself out?” Ye Haochuan said with concern.

A trace of helplessness flashed in Xiao Haimei’s eyes, and she said, ”It’s fine, the other businesses aren’t busy.”

”Not busy?” With Ye Haochuan’s keen observation, he easily noticed something was off with Xiao Haimei, and immediately asked, ”What’s going on?”

”Nothing, just business matters, nothing for you to worry about.”

Ye Haochuan persisted, ”We’re family, is there anything you can’t tell me? Even if I don’t understand business, at least let me help share the burden!”

Xiao Haimei hesitated for a long time before saying, ”The other businesses are indeed facing some difficulties.”

”Didn’t the Industry and Commerce Department’s approvals all come through? What other difficulties are you facing?” Ye Haochuan asked.

Xiao Haimei explained, ”The industry and commerce approvals were just the first step. After that, there are many more steps. Originally, the office building and factory area negotiations were almost complete, but suddenly someone intervened, trying every way to obstruct our company’s establishment. Although we ultimately negotiated successfully, the price ended up doubling!”

Ye Haochuan immediately frowned and said, ”Is it that Ma character causing trouble?”

After dealing with Ma Bangguo last time, Ye Haochuan knew that this old codger wouldn’t give up so easily and would definitely find ways to retaliate.

Xiao Haimei shook her head and said, ”It’s not Ma Bangguo, it’s Su Manni!”

Upon hearing the name ’Su Manni,’ a chill ran down Ye Haochuan’s spine. That woman was insane!

Ye Haochuan could clearly remember scenes from the past where Su Manni professed her love for him yet demanded he choose between her and Xiao Haimei.

Ye Haochuan had naturally chosen Xiao Haimei without hesitation, but that woman had threatened to jump off a building. Thankfully, Ye Haochuan’s quick reflexes saved her.

Recalling this, Ye Haochuan was no longer surprised. Given Su Manni’s personality, being rejected would certainly breed resentment. Regardless of her feelings towards Ye Haochuan, at the very least, Su Manni wouldn’t show mercy to her rivals.

”So it’s her,” Ye Haochuan murmured, ”But how did she end up in the Imperial Capital?”

Xiao Haimei replied, ”I was curious at first too. Why did this woman suddenly appear in the Imperial Capital? Surely she didn’t come just to target me? So I did some investigation and found out that she actually moved to the Imperial Capital long ago.”

No wonder after last parting ways in Haishan, there was no news of her; she had moved to the Imperial Capital!

Ye Haochuan pondered this silently and then asked, ”Has her business also entered the Imperial Capital?”

Xiao Haimei nodded, ”Yes, Su Manni left Haishan to increase investment in the Imperial Capital for a larger market. Due to her connection with Su Zehao, she sought the Yang Family as her backing. In the Imperial Capital, her businesses have been thriving. In just a few months, she established a foothold, with several industries booming and sales skyrocketing.”

Ye Haochuan complained, ”This woman is something else. She does her thing, we do ours. Both coming from Haishan, even if we don’t help each other, she shouldn’t come and cause trouble for us.”

”During the office leasing, she created obstacles, causing us to pay double the price. I thought she would stop there. I didn’t care about that little rental fee, but...”

”But what?”

”But she seems determined to fight us to the end!” Speaking of which, a sense of resentment flashed between Xiao Haimei’s brows, ”After our company was established, we developed several new products, hoping to use them to break into the Imperial Capital’s market. But each time, Su Manni launched the same products at a lower price, causing all our products to become unsellable and leading to continuous losses.”

With the same products priced lower, and with her company’s decent reputation in the Imperial Capital, having their own market, consumers naturally preferred them.

As a newcomer, Xiao Haimei had no backing, no fixed consumer group, and no core competitiveness, thus was no match for Su Manni. Her various industries were losing money, and at this rate, bankruptcy seemed inevitable.

Therefore, Xiao Haimei planned to reduce resource allocation for other industries and shift focus to hospitals and medicinal diets, areas less touched by Su Manni.

On one hand, they could launch more medicinal diets, and on the other, establish a branch of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital. This was the only way to mitigate risks, as Su Manni had no edge in these two areas and couldn’t suppress them.

”Alright then, let’s focus on the hospital and medicinal diets. Gradually penetrate the market, and once the group has gained some reputation, gradually expand into other industries.”

”That’s what I was thinking too, but we’re short on high-profile experts for the hospital, so you’ll have to oversee it.”

”No problem!” Xiao Haimei asked, and how could Ye Haochuan refuse?

...

Two days later, the branch of Haishan University Affiliated Hospital opened in the Imperial Capital. On the opening day, the hospital held a free clinic, offering free diagnoses to patients, with all medical costs at half price!

Because Haishan University Affiliated Hospital had been a hot topic online at one point, many citizens of the Imperial Capital came to join the buzz.

At the hospital entrance, three traditional Chinese medicine doctors and two Western medicine doctors offered free consultations, attracting quite a crowd due to being free.

At this time, an old man set up a table and two chairs and also started offering free consultations!

”Hey, hey, Divine Doctor He is also offering free consultations over there!”

”What, Divine Doctor He is offering consultations? What a rare opportunity! Let’s go over there!”

In an instant, everyone flocked to the other side, leaving Ye Haochuan’s group with few visitors.

Ugh! Deliberately causing trouble, aren’t they?

Today was the hospital’s opening, and they were offering free consultations, yet someone came to steal their business, clearly out to spite them.

”Let’s see who this big shot is!”

Ye Haochuan walked over, and seeing the old man looked familiar, he thought hard and finally remembered. This old man was the very one who practiced alchemy under the Sub-Thunder Element Dimension Realm back then, the one named He!

Elder He, full name He Qing, had a stint at the Imperial Capital Hospital. He was a godly doctor, and naturally, patients would trust him more over the lesser-known Ye Haochuan and others.
