Chapter 633: Chapter 632: Coincidental Meeting

Listening to Xiao Haimei’s words, the originally amiable Su Manni suddenly became confrontational too, ”Chairman Xiao, you can’t say that. Regarding President Wang’s participation in taking shares, I was unaware of this beforehand; it was a decision you made unilaterally.”

After saying this, she paused briefly and gracefully sipped her tea before slowly continuing.

”That is to say, President Wang’s investment was discussed on the basis of your Xiao Family’s own equity and has nothing to do with our Su Family. Since you have reached an agreement with President Wang, naturally, the shares should be allocated from your Xiao Family.”

Damn, this President Su is really shrewd! Starting with a show of force right from the beginning.

Ye Haochuan shook his head secretly. At this moment, he heard Xiao Haimei continue, ”President Su, you can’t really say that. We both know the strength of President Wang’s Wanda Group very well. Their physical stores are nationwide, which is beneficial for us to quickly expand the market, isn’t it?”

”That may be true, but the terms I discussed with Doctor Ye initially involved a thirty percent shareholding. Now that another shareholder has been brought in, our Su Family’s shares would have to be reduced, how could this be acceptable? Besides, it wouldn’t hurt your Xiao Family to distribute a portion of your seventy percent shares to President Wang, would it?” Su Manni insisted.

”Distributing a little is not impossible. I, Xiao Haimei, am not a stingy person. However, no matter what, it can’t be our Xiao Family that insists on keeping the shares, can it?”

Xiao Haimei smiled faintly and then added, ”Moreover, the cooperation between our Xiao and Su families consists only of funds and technology, without offline channels. Even if we don’t collaborate with President Wang, we’d need to cooperate with someone else, and the shares would still need to be redistributed. President Su, don’t you agree?”

Su Manni did not respond immediately, lost in thought.

Seeing this, Xiao Haimei continued, ”President Su, to be honest, if you don’t agree to reduce the shareholding with us this time, we can only choose to cease cooperation with the Su Family, and the five billion capital will have to be returned to you. However, I believe, given the reputation of our Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop, there are plenty who are willing to offer a higher price.”

”This...” Faced with Xiao Haimei’s forceful stance, Su Manni instantly felt the pressure.

Suddenly, deep inside, she had a feeling that the aggressively strong Chairman Xiao had come back.

However, Su Manni, who had reached the position of president of the Su Group, was clearly not an ordinary person. She responded with a light smile, ”Chairman Xiao, whether or not cooperation with our Su Family continues isn’t really for you to decide, is it? Doctor Ye, wouldn’t you agree?”

With that, she purposely glanced at Ye Haochuan.

Xiao Haimei also looked at Ye Haochuan, biting her lip without speaking, but the anxious expression in her eyes clearly hoped for Ye Haochuan to support her.

Understanding the cue, Ye Haochuan thought, crap, if he didn’t support his own woman, what kind of man was he?

After giving Xiao Haimei a reassuring look, Ye Haochuan smiled and said, ”Chairman Xiao’s intentions are my intentions.”

Xiao Haimei immediately beamed with joy, clearly very pleased with his response.

Su Manni’s face changed instantly, but soon, a somewhat aggrieved expression appeared.

Ye Haochuan pretended not to notice and turned his head away.

Feeling helpless, Su Manni shot him a resentful glance before continuing, ”Alright, our Su Family can compromise, but we can only give up five points, that is, twenty-five percent of the shares. If it’s lower than this ratio, we can only choose to withdraw our investment.”

Xiao Haimei found this ratio acceptable and, since the goal of diluting Su Family’s shares had been achieved, she no longer pressed the issue and said, ”Alright, then that’s settled. Next, we need to see President Wang’s stance.”

Having said that, her gaze turned to Wang Jianming, who had been silent all along, simply watching the two women argue.

Wang Jianming, with a benign smile on his face, said, ”Frankly speaking, although our investment from Wanda Group is in offline physical stores, the actual value is more than the fifty billion invested by the Su Family, not less. However, for Junior Godly Doctor Ye’s sake, let’s make it easy. I’m content with twenty-four percent.”

Upon hearing this, both Ye Haochuan and Xiao Haimei first were surprised, but soon, they were secretly pleased.

It turned out that according to the national assets Wang Jianming was putting in, worth at least fifty billion, the shares he requested were even less than Su Manni’s, which meant that the combined shareholding of the two was only forty-nine percent, leaving Xiao Haimei with fifty-one percent.

In this way, Xiao Haimei’s shares would ensure her absolute controlling interest.

However, Ye Haochuan understood that Wang Jianming had made such a big concession only because he had saved his son, and in response, he gave Wang Jianming a grateful look.

Wang Jianming smiled knowingly and indicated it was no problem.

On the other hand, Su Manni was feeling depressed. She had already secretly planned to settle for fewer shares as long as she could secretly team up with President Wang to suppress Xiao Haimei.

But unexpectedly, President Wang had voluntarily reduced the shares, which completely surprised her.

”President Wang is so straightforward! No problem, let’s go with what President Wang suggests!” Xiao Haimei said with a charming smile.

Just like that, the shares for the three parties were decided.

Afterward, everyone discussed the details of the cooperation. Ye Haochuan was essentially here to rub shoulders, and his main aim was to ensure the Xiao Family retained absolute controlling rights. Since his objective was achieved, there was nothing left for him to do.

So, he soon excused himself and left.

He had heard that Wanda Plaza had many shops and a huge flow of customers. Since he had nothing else to do, why not take a stroll here? If he found something suitable, he could also buy it to make a few of his women happy.

However, just as he arrived on the third floor of Wanda Mall, he encountered Su Yingxue and Zhang Xiaoxiao at a Chanel counter.

”Brother Ye, what are you also doing here?” Su Yingxue asked with a surprised delight upon seeing him.

Ye Haochuan was also surprised to see them here and explained, ”I’m here for some business, what about you two?”

Su Yingxue seemed to remember the flirting incident from last night, and her cheeks blushed slightly as she said, ”This afternoon, Xiaoxiao and I don’t have classes, so we decided to come shop here at the mall.”

Zhang Xiaoxiao also nodded and added, ”Yes, Brother Ye, we heard that the goods here at Wanda Plaza are of good quality and reasonably priced, so we came to check it out.”

Ye Haochuan nodded and smiled, ”So, did you find anything you like?”

”Why, Brother Ye, are you planning to spend some money on gifts for us?” Su Yingxue teased with a laugh.

”No problem at all.” Ye Haochuan chuckled indifferently, ”I’ll cover whatever you pick out.”

”Great, then we sisters are going to have a wild shopping spree later; don’t feel the pinch when the time comes.” Su Yingxue giggled, pulling Zhang Xiaoxiao into the nearby Chanel boutique.

Ye Haochuan shook his head and then followed into the boutique.

”I want this...” Su Yingxue told the clerk.

The clerk smiled slightly. ”Miss has a great eye, this perfume is a global limited edition, most suitable for young ladies; it has a fresh and natural scent...”

Seeing that Su Yingxue was very interested in that limited edition perfume, Ye Haochuan stepped forward and asked the clerk, ”How much for one bottle?”

”Currently our store is offering a discount, two bottles for five thousand yuan.”

”That’s too expensive, ten thousand yuan for three bottles, deal or no deal?” Ye Haochuan bargained.
