Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

When the alarm stopped, Lin Ye brought Number 43 and left the room, heading directly to the sixth floor.

The sixth-floor platform only had a few scattered explorers, nearly all of them fourth-tier spiritual energy users.

Seeing the two ascend to the sixth floor, these explorers didn’t react much, merely observing them silently.

Just as Lin Ye was about to randomly choose a room and push open the door, screams and roars suddenly erupted from the upper platform, followed by half a corpse falling from above, plummeting toward the lowest level.

As the corpse fell, Lin Ye caught a glimpse—it was half a woman torn in two.

Seeing the corpse, the explorers didn’t pay much attention, instead quickly returning to their rooms and locking the doors.

The next instant, a fourth-tier humanoid creature covered in heads jumped from the spiral staircase to the sixth-floor platform. It held a thick metal rod in its hand and was chewing on half a woman in its mouth.

Here, it was common for people to open doors but fail to deal with what was inside. In such cases, hiding in the room until the alarm ended was sufficient. The problem was that Lin Ye hadn’t yet opened a sixth-floor room door.

The humanoid monster was fast. If he didn’t want to open an unknown door, Lin Ye’s only chance to run back to the fourth-floor room was to abandon Number 43.

But he didn’t want to do that, so he took out the Cross Scepter.Lin Ye channeled compressed spiritual energy into the Cross Scepter, then gripped the top of the scepter and thrust it toward the rapidly approaching humanoid monster as if using a rapier.

Concentrated spiritual energy erupted from the base of the scepter. The energy beam instantly pierced through the humanoid monster’s body. The surrounding spiritual energy underwent secondary compression, and the exploding energy completely shredded the monster’s body.

Lin Ye ignored the scattered flesh and the metal rod, instead pulling Number 43 as they quickly ascended to the seventh floor. He needed to find that newly opened room.

No explorers remained on the seventh-floor platform; they had likely all hidden inside the rooms.

No searching was needed. Lin Ye immediately spotted the room with its door wide open, with large amounts of bloodstains remaining on the platform outside.

Lin Ye discarded the fourth-floor room key and brought Number 43 into the room, closing the door behind them.

The room was spacious but not suitable for long-term residence because the interior was a structurally complex luxury bathhouse.

The room key was placed on a lounge chair near the main bath. Additionally, a gift box with green packaging sat on a tray in the center of the main bath, wrapped with numerous red ribbons.

Lin Ye quickly picked up the key and locked the door. Earlier, when he thrust the Cross Scepter forward, it had suddenly begun forcibly draining the spiritual energy from his body. In just an instant, his spiritual energy was completely depleted.

That was why he could instantly kill the fourth-tier monster with one move.

’Just now, I seemed to trigger the Cross Scepter’s usage condition, but what is the condition? It can’t just be using the scepter like an energy rapier, right?’

That situation had actually been very dangerous. Fortunately, there were no other threats nearby, or it would have been extremely troublesome.

Although Lin Ye could use spiritual energy from outside his body, having no internal spiritual energy would affect his strength and speed, and even using mental energy would be impacted.

’The power is good, but if I don’t figure out the usage condition, I can’t use it regularly...’

Lin Ye absorbed the surrounding spiritual energy. With the assistance of his powerful mental energy, it took nearly half an hour to fully replenish what he had consumed.

”Go take a bath in that inner room. We’ll rest here for a while.”

Lin Ye found towels and some bath products from the cabinet and handed them to Number 43. These were ordinary items that could be used normally.

”...Okay.”

Number 43 walked into the room with clear reluctance on her face—she didn’t like bathing.

Lin Ye used spiritual energy to pull the gift box to the edge of the pool. The wrapping paper on the gift box had an effect that blocked mental energy, so he could only find out what was inside by opening it.

”Hopefully it’s not something weird.”

Lin Ye had hardly received any gifts growing up. It was only after coming here that he received a few strange gifts during simulations.

Opening the gift box, he found a bottle of shower gel inside.

”...Not bad, at least it’s not dangerous.”

Lin Ye stored the shower gel. This was a spiritual energy item of considerable tier, and he wouldn’t dare use it recklessly before checking the system information.

The room was fully equipped with bath products. Lin Ye took a set of bath supplies and entered another room, deciding to rest for a while.

Zhou Yi: Young Lin, I passed through a green portal and arrived inside a cylindrical building. You’re not here too, are you? I saw you mentioned the alarm earlier.

Lin Ye: Correct, I’m currently bathing in Room 701. You can come up to find me, but it’s better to wait until the next alarm ends. Also, I’m not sure if we’re in the same cylindrical building.

Lin Ye sent the information about the cylindrical building to the group.

Zhou Yi: I’ll wait until the next alarm ends.

Charlotte: I’ve encountered green portals too, but I didn’t enter.

Lin Ye: Unless you can find a white portal, there’s no need to come in.

Zhou Yi: I feel the probability of finding a white portal here is quite high. Why don’t we gather here and explore the higher-level rooms together?

Lin Ye: Don’t. The portals here likely only transport one person each. If all four of us enter here, we might need to find four white portals to leave. There might not even be four white portals here, and even if there are, they’d be hard to find all of them. By then, we’d still have to search for other colored portals.

Charlotte: You’re right. I suggest you find another colored portal as soon as possible and leave only one person there. That way, even if there’s only one white portal, it won’t matter.

Truso: Sorry, I came over too.

Zhou Yi: Xiao Te, you’re actually not dead.

Truso: Almost. I’m lying in the center of the first level... explorers are already coming down. My condition is very poor. If I weren’t dying, I wouldn’t have teleported here.

Zhou Yi: I’m coming out now, just in time to confirm if we’re in the same place.

Truso: Thank you very much, but I’m extremely unlucky right now. You’d better be careful.

Lin Ye: The relic’s effects haven’t ended yet?

Truso: No, your relic is indeed very dangerous. If not for the bad luck, I wouldn’t be in such a miserable state.

Lin Ye: Can’t be helped. Relics are just that dangerous. This one is considered relatively safe among them.

Truso: I’m not complaining, just wanting to remind you of that relic’s danger. But as the relic’s owner, you probably don’t need my reminder.

Lin Ye: No, thank you for the reminder.

Zhou Yi: I see you. What do they want to do to you?

Truso: ...You don’t want to know. Can you help me kill them?

Zhou Yi: Sure. Young people these days really have wild tastes.

Lin Ye: Wasn’t it like this before?

Zhou Yi: Well, the direction was different.
