Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Lin Ye opened his eyes on the bed in the shelter. Compared to the rest area, the shelter’s bed was very hard, but he had already grown accustomed to its firmness.

”Ah, if I could just stay in the rest area forever, no one would be willing to risk their life here,” Lin Ye sighed.

Setting aside those meaningless and cluttered thoughts, Lin Ye took the Cross Scepter and the low-tier nutrient solution to the Game Room.

He wanted to attempt activating the Cross Scepter in the Game Room.

Simply inputting spiritual energy wasn’t enough to activate the Cross Scepter; using it seemed to require meeting certain conditions.

Arriving at the Game Room, Lin Ye found a card table where he played cards, performed spiritual energy circulation, and studied the Cross Scepter simultaneously. Performing spiritual energy circulation while playing cards wasn’t difficult, so he could spare some attention to research the scepter.

But even after completing his daily circulation, Lin Ye still hadn’t figured out the usage conditions for the Cross Scepter.

He could only return to the shelter with the 97 red coins he had won, feeling regretful.

After returning to the shelter, Lin Ye entered the spiritual energy workshop to study the Relic Fragment and attempt to create new spiritual energy items.

It wasn’t until there was only one hour left before the Nighttime Activity that Lin Ye began tending to the plants and animals and preparing dinner. After finishing dinner, Lin Ye opened the Music Box and the group chat, and began to eat.

”No news from Old Feng yet?”

”None. I think he’s just hiding, probably lurking and reading the chat right now.”

”Would he go that far? Old Feng is usually pretty reliable.”

”He never dared to leave the shelter before, so isn’t it normal for him to hide now and not respond?”

”True, Old Feng, just come out. We won’t make you go outside anymore, you don’t need to hide.”

”What do we do? We couldn’t trick him out.”

”He might really be in trouble.”

”But his name isn’t grayed out. What situation would prevent him from even replying?”

”There are plenty of possibilities.”

”Fair point.”

Lin Ye checked the previous group chat messages and quickly found information about Yu Feng.

In the afternoon, Yu Feng had gone out to explore the city, but he lost contact right after leaving the residential building. If his name wasn’t still lit up, everyone would have thought he died immediately after going out.

”Let’s stop talking about Old Feng. Today should be a Station Mission, right?”

”It should be for us. Who knows what it is for the big shots.”

”I hope we encounter a safe station. It’s Thursday today, only two more days until Sunday again.”

”I hope we get a simple station full of supplies.”

”Are you still short on supplies now?”

”I lack high-level supplies.”

”Who isn’t short on those?”

”Did you guys manage to buy Brother Lin’s new creations?”

”Huh? I’ve been watching the trading area constantly, how did I miss it?”

”Probably snatched instantly. You need quick reflexes to grab things.”

”You’re obviously distracted chatting in the group, and you still want to grab Brother Lin’s creations?”

”So only the big shots can get the big shots’ creations. We ordinary people don’t even get a chance to look.”

”That’s how it is.”

”I saw them - bullets that drive people insane and a spiritual energy item that makes people split.”

”Damn, that sounds powerful.”

”What do you mean by ’makes people split’?”

”Who knows? That’s just how the system introduced it.”

”Is the big shot here? I managed to get your spiritual energy item. Can you introduce what it does?”

”You’re really something else.”

Lin Ye: I don’t know either. That was a spiritual energy item I created after studying relic fragments. It has some unknown patterns I obtained from some ruins engraved on it. Remember to tell me the effects after you use it.

”Damn, related to relics? That makes me want it even more.”

”So he’s a guinea pig.”

”I want to be a guinea pig too.”

”Wahhh, I saw it too, why couldn’t I grab one...”

”Not fast enough with your hands.”

”Are you selling? I’ll pay a high price.”

【Nighttime Activity Starting】

【Tonight’s Activity: Station Mission】

【Join?】

”Join.”

【09：59】

”Great, it’s not some weird activity.”

”Please system, match me with some reliable teammates.”

”I just hope my teammates don’t screw me over. Last time a teammate tried to kill me for my equipment. People from other districts are really something else.”

”I encountered that too, but I killed them.”

”If only we could form teams within our own district.”

”True, people from our district are more reliable.”

...

Lin Ye organized his equipment and sat by the bed. This time there were no card creatures to pet, but the little dog considerately climbed onto Lin Ye’s lap, making meowing sounds.

…………………………

The familiar old-fashioned train compartment start. The compartment still contained four people, matching the avatars in the chat room.

But this time, the three teammates were slightly different from before.

Sitting across from Lin Ye was a black man named Truso. His body was extremely muscular, nearly two meters tall, wearing long pants and a leather jacket that both appeared to be spiritual energy items.

Next to Truso sat an old man named Zhou Yi. His hair was completely white, but his eyes were sharp and his complexion ruddy. He wore gray-black formal attire and held a long spear in his hand.

Across from Zhou Yi was a white girl named Charlotte. She looked very delicate and wore a pure white full-length dress.

All three were third-tier spiritual energy users, with Lin Ye being the only second-tier.

Truso: Hello everyone, this is my first time teaming up with survivors from other countries.

Zhou Yi: Same for me. Young Lin, are you also from China?

Lin Ye: Yes, this is also my first time encountering friends from other countries.

Charlotte: That might be a bit troublesome. I’m the strongest in my district. You guys aren’t too, are you?

Truso: Correct.

Zhou Yi: Possibly, but without fighting I can’t be certain.

Lin Ye: Pretty much.

Truso: You Chinese people are too humble, always liking to hide your capabilities.

Charlotte: Different cultures. I quite like Chinese culture.

Zhou Yi: Can’t be helped. In a place like this, not being humble means you won’t live long.

Lin Ye: Well then, I’ll stop pretending. You probably can’t beat me.

Truso: Oh? I can’t just ignore that.

Charlotte: I suggest you be more polite to Mr. Lin. He is a second-tier spiritual energy user, after all.

Truso: ...Alright, you’re right.

【Please choose any station to disembark. Survive at that station until the train arrives tomorrow, and board the train to leave the station】

【Note: After one station, the train will enter the Shallow Sea Area】

Truso: Am I seeing things wrong?

Zhou Yi: You’re not mistaken. It really is just one station.

Truso: So we have no choice then?

Lin Ye: This is probably similar to when the system threw us at the entrance to the deep layers of the maze. We can choose to enter the station, or choose to enter the Shallow Sea Area. This is the choice the system is giving us.

Charlotte: Correct. I choose to go to the last station. We have no idea what’s in the Shallow Sea Area. Entering without information is no different from suicide.

Truso: But the system brought us here. We’re all the strongest survivors in our districts. Why not go in and take a look?

Zhou Yi: Anyway, I’m not going. I haven’t lived long enough yet. You go by yourself.

Lin Ye: Good luck. I’ll pray for you from the station.

Truso: Haha, I was just joking earlier. You guys really lack a sense of humor. Let’s hurry and enter the station. I can’t wait to complete the mission at the station.
