Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Lin Ye: I have a relic that can find paths. I can use it to help you find the correct route, but using this relic consumes luck. After using it, you might become extremely unlucky. I’ve never used it to help others before, so I don’t know whose luck gets consumed in this situation. If it consumes mine, that’s fine since I’m relatively strong - at worst I’ll just dig fewer waste stones. But if it consumes yours, that would be very dangerous, and I feel it’s eighty percent likely to consume your luck.

Truso: Go ahead, don’t hold back. We’re all going to die anyway, and I’d rather die fighting on the deck than die lost in the ship’s cabin.

Lin Ye: Alright, describe the terrain around you.

Truso began describing the surrounding terrain while Lin Ye took out the Lucky Coin and used the coin toss method to help Truso find the correct path to leave the ship’s cabin.

While pathfinding, Lin Ye didn’t remain idle either. He continued forward along the tunnel with Number 43, digging waste stones as they went. There was still some space left in the loot space that could fit a few more pieces.

With the help of the Lucky Coin, Truso quickly found the passage leading to the deck. At that moment, Lin Ye also happened to reach the third platform.

Truso: Thanks, the deck is right ahead. I’m going out to take a look.

Lin Ye: If you need anything, say it in the chat room. I hope you survive.

Truso: Okay.

Zhou Yi: Young Lin, can that relic of yours only be used for pathfinding?Lin Ye: No, but unless you’re about to die, it’s better not to borrow the relic’s power, especially in such a dangerous place.

Zhou Yi: Alright then.

Charlotte: Can I borrow your relic when it’s time to leave?

Lin Ye: Yes, but it’s just a relic. I rarely use it because external forces like this aren’t reliable.

Charlotte: Thank you.

After closing the chat room, Lin Ye stepped onto the platform. There was nothing strange on the platform, only some eyeballs gathering within the walls.

Lin Ye cut open the wall and dug out the waste stones inside.

After storing the waste stones in the loot space, Lin Ye found the stairs leading to the surface and ascended along them.

The abandoned building on the surface was similar to the previous one, with grassland still surrounding the structure. But less than ten meters from the building stood a two-story wooden cabin.

There were no weeds between the building and the cabin, allowing them to walk directly over.

The wooden cabin covered an area of about one hundred square meters with an ordinary appearance and no strange decorations.

With just a glance, Lin Ye could see a corner of the green teleportation light gate on the cabin’s second floor.

’Green light gate? I wonder where it leads.’

Lin Ye thought for a moment, then still decided to approach the cabin with Number 43. Although he had gradually adapted to the rhythm of the underground tunnels, the fact that mental energy couldn’t be used in the underground tunnels was quite fatal for him.

So if he had a choice, Lin Ye preferred to leave this area.

As for waste stones, he had already dug plenty.

Moreover, Lin Ye always felt that those eyeballs and root systems wouldn’t remain so well-behaved forever. They were definitely planning to hit him hard later on.

Lin Ye carefully pushed open the cabin’s main door. The cabin’s interior structure wasn’t complicated - the first floor only had one hall, two bedrooms, and a kitchen. The second floor structure was similar, and there was also a very deep basement beneath the cabin.

So deep that Lin Ye couldn’t sense what was below.

Lin Ye didn’t detect anything dangerous on the cabin’s first or second floors. He even specifically used his fluctuating mental energy detection method to sense his surroundings - there were no eyeballs in the cabin’s walls.

’The dangerous part of the cabin should be in the basement. As long as I don’t open the trapdoor leading to the basement, there shouldn’t be any problems... That teleportation gate wouldn’t lead to the basement, would it?’

An idea emerged in Lin Ye’s mind. Normal people definitely wouldn’t set up a teleportation gate just to go to a basement, but in a place like this, anything was possible.

Soon Lin Ye found the green teleportation gate standing by the second-floor window. After thinking for a moment, he ultimately decided to take a look inside.

There were no absolutely safe places in the Waste Zone, and Lin Ye needed to find the white teleportation gate before tomorrow morning, so regardless of what situation awaited beyond the teleportation gate, it made little difference to Lin Ye.

Of course, Lin Ye could also use the Lucky Coin to determine whether to pass through the teleportation gate, but he preferred to decide for himself.

Just as he had told Charlotte, power that didn’t belong to him wasn’t necessarily reliable.

”I’m going through the teleportation gate. Will you come with me or stay here?”

Lin Ye looked at Number 43 and asked.

”Together.”

Number 43 didn’t hesitate in the slightest, directly deciding to accompany Lin Ye to explore the unknown area. She cherished every opportunity to make choices and didn’t want to choose wrong.

”Then let’s go.”

Lin Ye suddenly grabbed Number 43’s thin left hand and pulled her into the teleportation gate.

Their vision blurred, and they moved to another area.

”Newcomers again.”

”A second-tier and... an ordinary person?”

”Hey, two more pathfinders arrived.”

”How dare they enter the teleportation gate?”

”Probably forced. There are no safe places in the Waste Zone.”

”Eh, that little one seems to be female.”

”So small, being female isn’t interesting anyway. I prefer the handsome guy next to her - he’s more to my taste.”

...

Just after passing through the teleportation gate, Lin Ye heard a chaotic conversation, most of which wasn’t very friendly.

But these conversations also revealed some useful information.

They had been teleported to a public area where many teleportation gates led. This place was dangerous, and leaving required pathfinding. Some people here weren’t explorers who came in this time - this group had been here for a long time.Lin Ye looked around. They were currently standing inside a cylindrical building. They were in the center of the first floor, with ring-shaped platforms connected to the cylinder every five meters above them, connected by spiral staircases.

On the platforms were small rooms embedded into the cylinder, with doors made of dark red metal. Before opening the doors, it was impossible to observe the interior of the rooms.

Those explorers stood near the doors, pointing and commenting about them.

”Hey, kid, bring that little brat over to me, or I’ll kill you later.”

A burly man stood near an open metal door on the second floor, shouting loudly at Lin Ye.

”Alright.”

Lin Ye pulled Number 43 toward the spiral staircase. However, just after reaching the second floor and before they could approach the burly man, three hostile explorers surrounded them.

”Kid, I like handsome guys like you. Cooperate nicely, and I’ll teach you how to survive here. Otherwise, you won’t live past half a quarter-hour.”

The third-tier explorer blocking the front spoke.

”Hehe, boss likes handsome ones, but I prefer women. Though she’s a bit small, she’ll do.”

The third-tier explorer on the right rear added.

The third-tier explorer on the left rear didn’t speak, just excitedly licking his dry lips.
