Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”I actually cheated. Without the mask, how could I have changed the ending?”

Lin Ye didn’t believe the cultists’ ritual was correct; otherwise, the world wouldn’t have been destroyed.

”That’s your possession, just like your instinct. Being able to bring it in and use it doesn’t count as cheating. As for changing the ending, that ’True God’ has a huge appetite.”

The young girl showed a mocking smile. That thing wasn’t a deity at all, but rather a weapon with power approaching that of a god.

But calling it a ’True God’ wasn’t entirely wrong either, because only something with destructive power could become a true deity.

”...Sacrifice everyone?”

Lin Ye quickly arrived at the answer.

”Correct. You must convince those cultists to be thorough when sacrificing the city’s population. This thoroughness must include themselves. Simultaneously, you must sacrifice everyone in the camp, including the teacher’s sister. Only sufficient destruction can make that thing quiet down for a while.”

The young girl answered calmly.

”You expect me to change the ending like that? Then I might not be able to meet your expectations.”Lin Ye would rather fail in resistance and watch the world end than do something he didn’t want to do.

”No, you have met my expectations. I wanted to see exactly this kind of story... although it fell a bit short in terms of horror.”

The young girl seemed somewhat regretful. She had experienced the story from Lin Ye’s perspective, and it wasn’t a horror story at all.

”My apologies. I also like horror stories, so it’s difficult for me to become the protagonist of one.”

Lin Ye felt he was more suited to playing a serial killer.

”It’s fine. This is quite interesting too.”

The young girl actually wanted to enter the story and play a role herself, but her mental energy was too powerful. Even the Dreamrealm couldn’t restrict her memories. If she entered with her memories intact, she could change the plot at any time.

Lin Ye and the young girl drank black tea and ate sweets, chatting for a long time before Lin Ye returned to the Shelter.

…………………………

Back at the Shelter, there was still some time before noon. Lin Ye took out the Rest Area Pass. He planned to visit the Rest Area. If spiritual energy was abundant there, perhaps he could perform spiritual energy circulation there.

Although the note said the Rest Area was a safe zone, Lin Ye still equipped himself with his full gear before using the invitation.

His vision went black, and Lin Ye lost consciousness. When he opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar ceiling.

’Where is this?’

Lin Ye bolted upright from the bed, cautiously observing his surroundings.

He was sitting on a fluffy, soft large bed, wearing fresh and comfortable pajamas.

Lin Ye had never been to a five-star hotel, but this luxurious suite gave him the feeling of a ten-star hotel.

Pulling open the curtains, outside were clean, wide streets and skyscrapers that reached for the sky. There were very few pedestrians on the street; the city appeared quite empty.

There was no spiritual energy in the environment, and his mental energy was restricted. Lin Ye tried throwing a punch and discovered he could only exert force comparable to an ordinary person.

’This is the Rest Area?’

Lin Ye left the room and found a dressing room already stocked with clothes of various styles. These clothes were all the same size, fitting him perfectly without any discomfort.

After taking a hot shower in the luxurious bathroom, Lin Ye changed into loose shorts and a T-shirt, put on slippers, and opened the door.

”Hello, Mr. Lin Ye. I am your bionic guide. You can ask me any questions.”

A young woman dressed in black and white maid attire stood to one side outside the door. She had medium-length light golden hair, and her two light golden eyes stared fixedly at Lin Ye without the slightest movement. Deep within her pupils, white rings of light were visible.

”What is a bionic? What’s your name?”

Lin Ye felt slightly awkward. This bionic had probably been waiting outside his door the entire time. He didn’t like making others wait.

”A bionic is a type of simulated robot manufactured through technological means, designed to imitate human appearance and behavior. Its core characteristics include anthropomorphic design, functional bionics, and intelligent interaction capabilities.”

”I do not have a name like a normal human, only a production serial number. I assume you are not asking for that?”

The bionic lady answered Lin Ye’s question seriously.

”Then what should I call you?”

Lin Ye closed the door and walked along the corridor towards the nearest elevator lobby.

”You may address me as you wish. You may also do anything you want to me. I belong to you; it is your right.”

The bionic lady followed slightly behind and to the side of Lin Ye, speaking calmly.

”Then I’ll call you Xiao Bai. Xiao Huang doesn’t sound as good.”

Lin Ye casually gave the bionic lady a name. He wasn’t very good at naming things.

”Understood, Master.”

Xiao Bai readily accepted this very casual name.

”Can you introduce this city?”

Lin Ye asked.

”Certainly. This is the system Rest Area. You can enjoy various services here designed to help you relax. The vast majority of the Rest Area’s infrastructure is free for you to use. Of course, there are also some paid services that require payment in red coins...”

Xiao Bai provided a detailed introduction to the various facilities in the Rest Area. Unlike the Game Room, the Rest Area was purely for rest. The functions of its facilities were solely related to relaxation, without any of those messy or complicated things.

Therefore, Lin Ye could not absorb spiritual energy here.

”Are those people all Survivors?”

There weren’t many pedestrians in the Rest Area. Apart from the bionic shop attendants, you might only encounter one person after walking a street or two.

”No, not many Survivors qualify to come to the Rest Area. Furthermore, those who do qualify rarely come to the Rest Area to rest. Those people are system-related personnel. They do not have passes and can only enter the Rest Area by spending red coins to purchase tickets.”

Xiao Bai led Lin Ye into a car dealership. Lin Ye could use his pass to choose a sports car for free use.

Lin Ye didn’t understand sports car performance, so in the end, Xiao Bai helped him select a pure black sports car with a somewhat exaggerated design.

”This car is so light.”

Lin Ye drove the sports car, speeding down the road. The Rest Area had no traffic rules because no actions capable of causing harm could occur here.

”Would you like to change to a heavier vehicle? Someone drove a tank in the city before.”

Xiao Bai seriously suggested.

”That won’t be necessary. I just feel the sports car’s impact force is a bit lacking. Never mind that, weren’t you going to recommend a restaurant to me?”

Lin Ye still couldn’t forget that Bus capable of moving between Planes.

”Turn right ahead, we’ll be there. I have already reserved a table.”

Xiao Bai’s eyes flickered slightly; she could process information related to Lin Ye directly through the network.

”With so few people, we still need a reservation?”

Lin Ye executed a drift and parked the sports car right outside the restaurant entrance.

”Some services require the restaurant to prepare in advance. The same applies to other facilities. It’s best if you inform me in advance where you would like to go.”

Xiao Bai replied.
