Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 61: Chapter 59: Special Level Fist Achieved, Taming the Tiger Vajra

”If Xiaozhao and the others hadn’t been injured, I wouldn’t have come to you for help, Mr. Wan, unless I had absolutely no other choice... The spar just now was to confirm if you could be of assistance. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had the nerve to ask.”

Tie Qingyang was very frank, his gaze sincere and unwavering.

Wan Ze looked at him, not answering right away as he pondered the request.

After a moment, he suddenly asked, ”Why not ask my senior brothers for help?”

Tie Qingyang’s gaze was candid as he gave a wry smile. ”My Tie Shizhe has some standing in the Holy City, but we’re nothing in the eyes of the truly powerful experts at Dragon Eagle. If those experts hadn’t looked down on our petty squabbles, there would be no place for me in the Holy City at all. Your senior brothers all have extraordinary backgrounds. More importantly, first, there’s no trust between us, and second... I can’t afford their exorbitant demands.”

He then quickly added, ”I don’t mean to belittle you, Mr. Wan. That’s not my intention at all. It’s just that you haven’t been exposed to the martial world yet. Compared to the seasoned and cunning Martial Artists at Dragon Eagle, I’m more willing to trust you. It also allows me to show my goodwill to a greater extent... instead of constantly being questioned and doubted.”

Wan Ze raised his eyebrows slightly.

Tie Qingyang sighed softly. ”From our interactions, I can see that you’re a straightforward person, Mr. Wan, without all the usual scheming. That’s the fundamental reason I dared and was willing to approach you... Besides, you’ve only just begun your martial arts journey. I am willing to lend you a hand and form a good relationship. For me, there’s no downside to that.”

”You really don’t hold back, Boss Tie,” Wan Ze said with a smile.

Tie Qingyang smiled back. ”I’ve never treated you like a child, Mr. Wan. In fact, you have a mature mind and are far from ordinary. Since that’s the case, I must be frank with you to eliminate any suspicion between us. As I’ve said, I truly cherish our friendship.”

Wan Ze didn’t let these words cloud his judgment.

He fell into thought.

A Qi Nourishing Technique, a Horizontal Training Technique... He had indeed received favors from the man. Still, some things had to be clarified, as he represented Dragon Eagle.

”What’s their background?”

He didn’t want to be played for a fool.

If Tie Qingyang dared to deceive him on a matter like this, their friendship would end then and there. They might even become enemies.

Of course, Tie Qingyang was a smart man. He wouldn’t do something as self-destructive as digging his own grave.

”Xiao Qing. Thirty years old, from Dian Nan. He began practicing martial arts at a young age and studied under the Fist Technique expert Zhao Chong from Yuedong Province. After ten years of arduous training in Fist Techniques, he once swept through South Asia’s largest underground fighting ring, killing thirteen masters of the Blood Tempering Realm and making a name for himself...”

”He killed thirteen masters of the Blood Tempering Realm?” Wan Ze’s eyebrows shot up.

’Wouldn’t I be walking to my death?’

Tie Qingyang explained, ”That’s what I was about to say. Three years ago, his master was killed by an enemy. Xiao Qing himself was gravely injured, sustaining a leg injury that caused his strength to plummet. After fleeing South Asia and wandering for some time, he was somehow found by that sworn enemy of mine... Rest assured, Mr. Wan, Xiao Qing’s strength has fallen drastically. He’s in no condition to harm you. Besides, I’ll be taking action myself... I just need you to draw his attention. I’ll be the one to do the killing.”

Wan Ze nodded, understanding.

’I just need to show my face... And with my current status, who in the martial world would even recognize me, let alone know that I represent Dragon Eagle?’

’Of course, none of the men under Tie Qingyang are up to the task.’

’That’s why I, a newly-minted Martial Artist with whom he has a cordial relationship, became his best choice.’

’If he brought in someone too famous, the target would never show himself.’

Wan Ze didn’t mind the truth. He quite liked the word ”cooperation,” because it meant mutual benefit.

However, he was contemplating Xiao Qing’s strength. If the man was at the Blood Tempering Third Transformation... he probably wouldn’t stand much of a chance.

He had to consider whether Tie Qingyang could intervene in time.

He looked over at him.

”Pick me up tomorrow at five-thirty in the evening.”

Hearing this, Tie Qingyang said solemnly, ”Five-thirty it is. I’ll arrange for someone to pick you up from school.”

”No need. Go to Jiangxin Island Park.” Wan Ze shook his head. Being picked up from the school gate in Tie Qingyang’s car was too conspicuous. The man’s public reputation was far from stellar, and it would only worry his parents.

Tie Qingyang was taken aback for a second but then nodded decisively. ”Alright, we’ll do it your way, Mr. Wan!”

After leaving Tie Qingyang, Wan Ze wasted no time. He took Tie Qingyang’s car and soon arrived at the Dragon Eagle Martial Arts Hall.

「An hour later.」

A surge of Qi and Blood.

He looked at the data frame.

The Special Level mission for Iron Mountain Fist was, as expected, complete.

...

[Illustrated Guide: Iron Mountain Fist] (Special Level Mastered)

[Effect 1: Enhances Qi and Blood]

[Effect 2: Strengthens Fist Force (Power +0.02)]

[Effect 3: Beng Jin (All Attributes +0.01, Strength Attribute an additional +0.02)]

[Skill Ultimate Form Requirement: Defeat 1,000 people with Iron Mountain Fist (one punch only)]

...

”One thousand people... Thank god it’s just ’defeat’.”

Wan Ze was stunned, but also a little relieved.

’If it were ’kill,’ that would be way too hard.’

He was a model student, not some mass-murdering demon lord.

But with the increase in his Attributes, he could clearly feel the power surging within him. Although it was only an increase of 0.03, it felt like a qualitative leap.

He glanced at his personal Attributes.

[Physical Strength: 0.91]

[Intelligence: 0.86]

[Agility: 0.84]

[Endurance: 0.84]

[Power: 0.88]

[Coordination: 0.86]

...

’Now that my Power is higher, the might of Iron Mountain Fist has increased accordingly...’

Beneath the night sky, incandescent lights brightly illuminated the front of the small courtyard.

Wan Ze took a step forward into a lunge. He raised his left palm flat and held it level while drawing his right fist to his waist. His Essence, Qi, and Spirit instantly coalesced, and he stomped one foot forward, as if the entire weight of his body was pressing down on that leg.

BANG!

The ground shook as he threw his right fist.

A sound like cracking thunder exploded from thin air. The burst of speed, the sheer force—if he were to meet that woman again... one punch would be all it took to kill her!

”So this is Beng Jin?”

Wan Ze had clearly perceived that after he threw the punch, an astonishing force had erupted from nothing, blasting forward with considerable power.

With two new trump cards, Instant Flash and Beng Jin, Wan Ze was secretly thrilled.

’Tomorrow night, my only job is to draw Xiao Qing’s attention. Tie Qingyang is the one who will make the real move...’

’It should be enough for self-preservation.’

’Still, I’d love to have an all-out fight with an expert like that!’

Just to be safe, he began his Cultivation of the Taming the Tiger Vajra Skill again.

As night fell, the sounds of training in the surroundings quieted down considerably. A hundred meters away, martial brothers exchanged farewells, and the number of people remaining at the hall dwindled.

「Soon.」

The lights in the training rooms near Wan Ze had all gone out, leaving only the one in the corridor outside his room lit.

Amidst the constant convergence of Qi and Blood.

At a certain moment, Wan Ze felt a hot current suddenly erupt from within his body, rapidly seeping into every corner.

In just a few seconds.

His muscles bulged, and he seemed to grow several centimeters taller. The Martial Dao Uniform, which had been loose on him, now seemed to have shrunk.

The torrent of his Qi and Blood grew even more immense!

He circulated the Thunderbolt Breathing Technique to finally smooth out the erupting Qi and Blood, and his gaze immediately shot to the data frame.

...

[Illustrated Guide: Taming the Tiger Vajra Skill] (High Level Mastered)

[Effect 1: Physical Strength +0.02; Endurance +0.02; Power +0.02]

[Effect 2: Overawing Hundred Evils (All Attributes +0.05)]

[Skill Special Level Requirement: 10,000 instances of Qi and Blood Convergence]

...

In the room, Wan Ze let out a pleased sound.

’The High Level Taming the Tiger Vajra Skill is already this powerful. What about the Special Level? Or the Ultimate Form?’

He didn’t dare to imagine just how strong it could become!
