Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 58: Chapter 56: Begging is Useless, I’m Taking Your Life

BOOM!

The ground beneath Wan Ze’s feet exploded as he stomped down, unleashing a flurry of impossibly fast punches.

The man in front of him swung a machete at his arms, but he never expected Wan Ze to be this fast!

Wan Ze clenched a fist and, with incredible speed, slammed it into the man’s chest. Power erupted, and the man felt as if he’d been struck by a sledgehammer. His body shuddered as the force traveled all the way down to his feet, making the soles of his shoes tremble. The sheer strength was immense!

Before the man could even be sent flying, Wan Ze grabbed his arm, swung him around like a shield, and charged forward.

Such savage power from a single punch!

Even the man in the trench coat couldn’t help but be stunned by the sight... ’Could I even block a punch like that?’

’Damn it! I’d have to block it whether I could or not!’

”Get him!”

At his command, the rest of the men steadied themselves and charged.

Wan Ze hurled the man in his grasp forward, clearing a wide path through the attackers.

”Not good!”

The leader of the group saw a shadow flash in the corner of his eye. He spun around and raised his machete to strike.

But Wan Ze had already closed the distance, sticking to him. A fist came arcing down, targeting the centerline of his body, from his forehead down to his groin.

A fierce gust of wind washed over him.

Before the man could even see what was happening, he heard the sound of bones shattering. Then he was sent flying, crashing into a group of his men.

Ever since he started his Cultivation of the Mysterious Shadow Step, Wan Ze had never had to push it to its absolute limit in such a critical situation. But now, he had.

He bypassed the others completely and, like a divine general descending from the heavens, appeared before the trench coat man.

His iron fist came crashing down with the weight of a mountain. The trench coat man’s ears rang, and he could hear the sound of wind and thunder raging all around him, like the rumbling of Celestial Thunder.

The trench coat man’s heart sank.

’This is Blood Tempering First Transformation?’

’Seriously, damn it!’

’Even someone at the Blood Tempering Second Transformation couldn’t fucking produce this kind of Momentum.’

’Fuck!’

The trench coat man immediately clenched both fists and let out a sharp cry. He drew a deep breath, and with a surge of strength like an ancient hegemon lifting a great cauldron, he managed to catch Wan Ze’s ferocious strike.

’He blocked it?’

’Heh!’

The trench coat man grinned. ”I have to admit... I seem to have underestimated you. But I already gave my word. I’m afraid I’ll have to trouble you for a leg today!”

”You want my leg?”

As Wan Ze spoke, his qi and blood surged, his aura shaking the world. His shirt instantly burst apart, revealing explosive, streamlined muscles.

”You?”

He spat out the single word.

The Power in Wan Ze’s hands surged, and his second punch crashed down in an instant.

CRACK!

The ground beneath the trench coat man’s feet shattered. His knees buckled, unable to withstand the immense force of Wan Ze’s punch.

’Damn it!’

He cursed inwardly.

His muscles and bones felt numb and weak. He forced himself to take a breath, abandoning his block and changing his technique.

Not daring to meet the blow head-on again, he did a clumsy roll to get away.

At the same time, the Secret Palace Assassins behind him swarmed forward with their machetes.

Wan Ze’s figure blurred. He raised his hand and brought down a Splitting Fist, aiming for the back of the trench coat man’s head. The man immediately sensed the lethal gust of wind behind him, and the hairs on his back stood on end.

Even with his Iron Head Skill, he wouldn’t dare to take a blow with that kind of power.

He dropped low again, bracing himself with his arms on the ground. He scrambled away frantically, using both his hands and feet, not daring to clash with Wan Ze’s Strength at all.

”Didn’t you want my leg? Why are you running?”

Wan Ze’s voice cut in from behind him as he closed in.

The trench coat man’s face was grim. He held his breath, wanting to retort but not daring to. He could only dodge hastily in frustration, looking just like a frightened monkey.

The Secret Palace Assassins closed in from the sides, swinging their machetes. But Wan Ze just flicked his hand, his knuckles cracking loudly, and viciously grabbed the nearest assassin by the throat!

CRACK!

The body flew through the air, blocking the path of the other assassins.

In a single fluid motion, Wan Ze swung his arms and pressed toward the trench coat man again. The distance of less than two meters that the man had created was closed in an instant.

With his current Body Technique, amplified by the Mysterious Shadow Step, ordinary people wouldn’t even have time to react.

The trench coat man had just managed to get two meters away, but he never thought his assassins would be so useless. Not only were most of them dealt with in the blink of an eye, but it had also allowed Wan Ze to catch up.

In an instant, his pupils constricted.

Seeing Wan Ze’s fingers less than three inches from his throat, he gave up on fleeing. He quickly reached out with both hands to grab Wan Ze’s wrist while, fearing Wan Ze’s brute force, he hastily retreated to dissipate the momentum.

The moment he retreated, he charged forward again.

A charge, a twist—his intent was to break Wan Ze’s arm.

Laughably, Wan Ze didn’t even bother to glance at him. He clenched his other hand into a fist like a great hammer and, with a sudden burst of astonishing power, smashed it toward the trench coat man’s head.

The trench coat man was startled.

’Wan Ze’s Power is already terrifyingly immense. If that fist hits my head, won’t it just explode on the spot?’

He cursed inwardly.

He quickly changed his move.

But just as he was about to let go, Wan Ze twisted his wrist, grabbing the man’s hand in a reverse grip and locking it in place.

Almost instantly.

The trench coat man looked up in horror. He saw the veins on Wan Ze’s neck, just inches away, bulging like coiled green snakes—a terrifying and savage sight.

’Is he fucking human?’

’I’d believe you if you told me he was a great demon lord!’

”Wan Ze, we can talk this out! If you kill me today, the Secret Palace will hunt you to the ends of the earth! Think this through!!!!!” the trench coat man roared in a mix of terror and rage.

Wan Ze turned a deaf ear. As his muscles flexed, what was left of his clothes burst apart again with a series of RIPS and POPS.

Without a single wasted word.

His iron fist smashed down without mercy!

With the sound of shattering bone and splashing blood, the trench coat man screamed as he was sent flying. He landed against the alley wall three meters away, his entire shoulder a mangled mess of flesh and blood, with bone visible underneath!

He wasn’t dead, but the pain was so intense he was about to pass out.

Wan Ze took a step forward, his voice terrifyingly calm. ”I don’t know where you got the confidence to cause trouble for me. And I don’t care who’s backing you. You want revenge? Fine... For every one that comes, I’ll kill one!”

The trench coat man was terrified. He raised his head, forcing himself through the pain, and tried to scream, ”Don’t—Wan Ze, don’t kill—”

CRACK!

A single punch snapped his neck.

The trench coat man never got to finish his words. His eyes bulged wide, his death a gruesome sight.

Wan Ze whipped his head around.

Under the night sky.

His eyes, like those of a beast no longer holding back, stared at the few remaining figures holding machetes.

”You help a tyrant do evil. You all deserve to die!”

...

The wind was still, but it carried the stench of blood.

Miss Ling clutched her clothes tightly, shivering from the cold. Standing beside Wan Ze, she looked at him with a complicated expression. ”You... don’t worry too much. I’ll be your witness. It was self-defense, after all. You’ll be fine.”

Wan Ze retracted his gaze.

’Oh, that’s not what I’m worried about.’

’To think I had to use up 2% of my Tiger and Wolf Momentum just to deal with these idiots from the Secret Palace. What a painful loss.’

”I remember that Secret Palace Assassins have bounties on them in our East Sea Federation, right?”

”I think... they do,” Miss Ling said, still not quite back to her senses.

Wan Ze nodded slowly.

’Good.’

Just then, he saw Zhai Jia and Lei Ming rushing over.

”What now! My god, are these guys from the Secret Palace ever going to quit?”
