Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 56: Chapter 54: Fierce Tiger Unleashed, Rain Bell Obtained

West Suburb.

In a residential area not far from the abandoned parking lot stood several three-story, self-built houses.

In the back of the room, a mother and daughter were gagged and tied to a pillar.

In front of them, a body lay in a pool of blood. It was the woman’s husband and the girl’s father, who had died right before their eyes.

”Boss, no suspicious individuals spotted. No one’s intervened at the parking lot either... We left plenty of signals for Ah Wen. He’ll contact us as soon as he finds them.” A brawny, long-haired man strode over, his eyes greedily scanning the mother and daughter tied to the pillar.

At the dining table, a tall woman with a black mask covering the lower half of her face was silently whittling a wooden stick. After a moment, without looking up, she said, ”Keep watching. Our opponent is formidable and not to be underestimated. Report any findings immediately!”

”Yes, Boss.” The long-haired man couldn’t help but glance at the mother and daughter again. Before he could say anything, the wooden stick suddenly stabbed into the ground in front of him, its end vibrating wildly.

He looked up and met the woman’s icy gaze. His heart skipped a beat. ”Boss...”

”Get out!” the woman said coldly.

The long-haired man scrambled to escape.

Soon, only the woman and the mother-daughter pair were left in the room. ”Don’t blame me. Blame your own bad luck. I didn’t want to kill you, but your father just had to call the police. If you have to blame someone, blame him for being so stupid.”

”Mmph... mmph...” the mother whimpered.

The woman paid her no mind. She got up, looked at the wall covered in award certificates, and took one down to examine it closely. She glanced back. ”You’re a straight-A student? I really envy you kids who are good at school. A shame I didn’t like to study when I was little. I only started regretting it when I grew up...”

She trailed off after a few sentences.

The room fell quiet for a moment, leaving only the sound of the mother and daughter’s sobs.

After some time, the long-haired man suddenly burst in. ”Boss, we found tire tracks on the east side! Someone’s sneaking up on us!”

”Did Ah Wen send a signal?” the woman asked.

The long-haired man hesitated. ”No, but he should have by now... Boss, I have a bad feeling about this. Do you think it could be a trap?”

The woman fell silent, then slowly said, ”Living or dead, we need to see a body. That’s the rule.”

”Understood. I’ll get the men ready.” This time, the long-haired man didn’t dare look at the mother and daughter again. ’But there was no way prey he’d set his sights on would escape unscathed.’

BZZT! BZZT!

Just then, her communicator vibrated.

The woman picked it up.

...

You’re not playing fair. Sent someone to tail me?

...

The woman frowned.

She tried calling Ah Wen’s number.

But the other party forcefully rejected the call.

She could only type back: Where’s Ah Wen? Let me talk to him. I need to confirm if he’s dead or alive!

The reply came quickly.

Do you think you’re qualified to talk to me?

The woman held the communicator with both hands, seemingly contemplating her wording. But then she heard a faint noise from the doorway. She glanced over, her eyes alert.

BANG!

A gunshot suddenly rang out from the distance.

The woman’s gaze hardened.

She realized something was wrong and was about to turn and grab her gun.

The next instant—

BANG!

The door exploded on the spot.

It was made of a steel-wood composite, yet it had been blown clean through, sending splinters flying everywhere.

”Who’s there?” the woman snapped.

The man who appeared before her was like a wrathful guardian. He stomped forward, closing the distance in the blink of an eye, and thrust an iron fist from under his ribs straight toward her heart.

The woman’s expression changed slightly.

For a split second, she couldn’t even see her attacker’s face clearly. She only felt as if a great tidal wave was surging before the punch. To have cultivated one’s Fist Technique to this level already made them a master...

She ran through a list of her enemies in her mind, but none of them matched.

THWACK!

Wan Ze’s fist broke through her guard on the spot, landing right on her heart with pinpoint accuracy. He could even feel the warmth of her body through her thin clothes.

The woman’s expression changed completely.

’This is bad!’

Alarm flared in her heart.

Her heart sank. Blood surged through her veins as she hastily blocked with both elbows, executing an ”Embrace Tiger, Return to Mountain” in an attempt to throw Wan Ze away.

But the force of Wan Ze’s punch was ferocious. Before her arms could even fall into place, the powerful gust of wind it generated was already whipping through the air with audible cracks.

The hair on her forehead was blown back by the force. She felt a massive current of air from above, like a heavenly pillar, boring down and blasting ferociously into her clothes.

POP! POP! POP!

The buttons on her chest burst and flew off, revealing a large patch of skin.

But in this life-or-death moment, no one paid any mind to such an alluring sight.

Wan Ze’s wild Power from the Taming the Tiger Vajra technique instantly shifted into the Iron Mountain Fist, striking downward with extreme viciousness.

The woman felt an unprecedented pressure. At the brink of death, her inner wildness was completely unleashed. A heaven-shaking roar erupted from her throat, like a thunderclap on a clear day. The mother and daughter, who were closest, felt their ears ring before instantly passing out.

At the same time, the woman spread her hands, her ten fingers slightly hooked, like the fangs in a beast’s gaping maw!

BANG!

She stomped hard enough to leave a shallow crater in the ground beneath her feet. In an instant, she charged at Wan Ze’s figure, transforming into a ferocious beast, hell-bent on swallowing him whole.

Wan Ze’s expression remained unchanged. A clash of an instant was a battle of life and death!

His qi and blood surged, and his body seemed to swell in size.

In an instant—

Muscles bulged! Elbows swung! Tendons snapped taut! Joints popped!

The shockwave forced the woman’s ten fingers, which were gripping his shoulder, to release their hold.

At the same time, Wan Ze used the momentum to press into the woman’s personal space.

’You want to swallow me?’

’Then I’ll be a fierce tiger bursting from its cage!’

’Let’s see if your Heavenly Dog can truly swallow the sun...’

’...or if my Taming the Tiger Vajra is unrivaled in its ferocity!’

Wan Ze’s aura surged to an incredible height, his advance overwhelming.

The woman’s face turned deathly pale in an instant. She felt that Wan Ze’s Fist Technique was majestic and as fierce as a raging storm. Such an extreme transformation should have been impossible for the person before her.

”It’s you!”

She recognized Wan Ze.

She recognized him as the young punk she had fought at Lingyun Manor that day.

But she never expected that now, in only their second meeting, the confidence she’d had back then would be completely shattered.

’This...’

’How is this possible?!’

But the facts spoke for themselves!

Wan Ze gave her no chance to make another move. The moment he slipped into her guard, he pivoted on his heel, spun behind her, and unleashed an upward Beng Fist—a move that would seal her fate.

The woman felt a numbing sensation in her tailbone as an icy chill shot straight up to her skull, making her hair stand on end.

With a loud THUD, she was sent flying, crashing against the nearby wall. She hit it so hard that the wall cracked, the fissures spattering with fresh blood.

”Damn, Junior, that was one vicious punch,” Lei Ming’s voice came from outside as he stepped in, dragging an unconscious brute. He froze when he saw the bound mother and daughter. ”These people are this ruthless? They won’t even spare civilians? Fucking bastards!”

Wan Ze glanced over, then looked away. ”She deserved it.”

Lei Ming walked over to the masked woman and knelt to check on her. ”Still breathing... but it looks like she’s completely crippled.”

Her entire spine was shattered. Not even a god could save her now. She would either die on the spot or live the rest of her life as an invalid.

For now, however, the woman was powerless to struggle and was taken into custody along with her subordinates.

Zhai Jia ordered the soldiers to continue searching the area for any stragglers. Upon seeing the scene inside the room, Zhai Jia also muttered a curse. ’Damn it!’

Looking up, Zhai Jia asked, ”Where’s the Rain Bell?”

”Right here.” Wan Ze held out his hand, gesturing. The cool sensation at his fingertips had already quietly vanished.
