Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1178: Chapter 1177: Choosing an Island

”But, after all, this person is the Tang Sect’s Third Elder. If we kill him, the Tang Sect... might go crazy.”

Shen Qianlang said with some lingering fear.

The imposing Third Elder, his status in the Tang Sect must be quite high, being part of the decision-making senior members. Today, he died here. If the Tang Sect finds out, it could cause a huge uproar.

”Do you think that if we don’t kill him, the Tang Sect will spare you?”

Ling Chen looked at Shen Qianlang with a blank expression.

”You’re right. Whether we kill him or not, the Tang Sect won’t easily stop. If that’s the case, it’s better to make a decisive move and let the despicable Tang Sect experience the pain of losing family members as well!”

With Ling Chen’s words, a trace of bitterness rose in Shen Qianlang’s heart. The entire Qingcheng Palace was wiped out by the Tang Sect before, and now they’ve only killed a mere Third Elder, not even repaying the interest yet!

He was just afraid that the Tang Sect would suffer such a loss, even if they didn’t know this Third Elder was killed by Ling Chen, they would still focus their attention on them.

He and Luo Xian’er would likely be targeted by the Tang Sect again soon, possibly facing even greater crises.

”Don’t worry, I’ve already planned the way out for you.”

Seemingly seeing through Shen Qianlang’s thoughts, Ling Chen spoke, ”After you return, immediately pack up with Luo Xian’er and come with me to the East Sea. I’ll find an island there as your base to establish a sect.”

He thought about it; as long as Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang remained in this Qing Mountain Sword Sect, the Tang Sect could find them quickly. Staying here would only wait for their demise.

It’s better to go to a safe place, establish a sect, and avoid the Tang Sect’s surveillance.

The East Sea, undoubtedly, is an excellent place.

”East Sea?”

Shen Qianlang was a bit bewildered. He had only heard about the East Sea from books, it was too far away, and he even doubted whether such a place existed.

And now, Ling Chen said he was taking their sect to the East Sea?

”That’s right.”

Ling Chen nodded, the eastern shallow sea area was temporarily controlled by the Witch Fiend Sect, and there, Ling Chen could ensure the safety of Shen Qianlang and Luo Xian’er.

”Alright!”

After pondering for a moment, Shen Qianlang finally nodded. Even relocating the Qing Mountain Sword Sect to an island was better than waiting for death here. He trusted Ling Chen would not harm them, and he saw endless potential in Ling Chen. As long as they followed Ling Chen, they wouldn’t worry about not having the opportunity to rejuvenate the Qing Mountain Sword Sect in the future.

After losing Teng Shan and others, the Great Eagle Gate was essentially finished. Ling Chen did not go for total eradication as the main culprit had already been dealt with, and the others posed no more threat.

Ling Chen’s proposal to relocate to the East Sea was met with no objection from Luo Xian’er. She also knew that staying here would only make them targets for the Tang Sect, and to ensure the legacy continued, they had to rely on Ling Chen.

Otherwise, if the Tang Sect sent experts next time, they wouldn’t be so lucky to have someone save them again.

Thus, the Qing Mountain Sword Sect abandoned its original mountain gate and prepared to relocate it to the East Sea. Originally, there were only about thirty people left in the Qing Mountain Sword Sect, so the move was convenient. Unlike those deeply rooted major sects, moving involved heavy costs if they had to bring their families along.

Ling Chen’s Silver Moon Jade Dragon Boat could only carry two people, no more. So Ling Chen first took Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang. As for the others, he planned to have the Witch Fiend Sect pick them up once Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang were settled.

With the Silver Moon Jade Dragon Boat’s speed of thirty thousand miles per day, Ling Chen took less than five days to reach the eastern ocean area under the Witch Fiend Sect’s rule.

Aboard the dragon boat, Ling Chen held a chart of the eastern sea region. The map clearly showed the islands currently under the Witch Fiend Sect’s control.

Each island had detailed descriptions above it.

Ling Chen was looking for a new mountain gate for the Qing Mountain Sword Sect.

”This Nine Spirit Island looks good, hmm... and Whale Tooth Island isn’t bad either... You two take a look too.”

Ling Chen handed the sea chart to Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang.

”Nine Spirit Island, Whale Tooth Island... all these are massive islands with thousands of miles in area and hundreds of thousands of people...”

Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang looked at the map with a trace of hesitation. They thought Ling Chen would find a sparsely populated island for them just to survive, but they didn’t expect Ling Chen to mention such prosperous large islands right away.

Shen Qianlang frowned and said, ”I’m afraid these islands already have other sect powers, don’t they...?”

Looking across the whole East Sea, islands with such vast populations were few. How could there not already be established warrior powers on them?

For a small Qing Mountain Sword Sect, trying to establish themselves there might make survival very difficult.

”I have my ways, you don’t need to worry about that. You just need to choose one of these two islands.”

Ling Chen replied calmly.

Hearing Ling Chen’s words, Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang exchanged a glance, and after a moment’s hesitation, pointed to one of the islands. ”This one.”

”Nine Spirit Island, huh? It’s just three hundred miles away from here.”

Ling Chen glanced at the chart, then suddenly accelerated. The Silver Moon Jade Dragon Boat turned into a streak of light, shooting towards the left and ahead.

In just a quarter of an hour, Ling Chen and the others appeared above Nine Spirit Island, landing in the central square of the island.

In the square’s center stood a giant statue of the Witch God, and prominently next to it was a large bell. This bell was usually used for emergencies, such as an enemy attack or the arrival of a Witch Fiend Sect messenger, to gather the island’s experts.

Next to the bell were two guards keeping watch.

Ling Chen did not hesitate, swiftly moving behind the two guards, and began to ring the grand bell.

This action instantly alarmed the island’s strong figures.

”What’s happening? Are we under attack?”

”Could it be that a VIP has arrived?”

”Hurry to the plaza and gather!”

In an instant, countless silhouettes erupted, rushing toward the plaza.

”Who are you! How dare you cause trouble?”

Only then did the two guards spot Ling Chen ringing the bell, and they were utterly shocked. When did this guy get behind them?

”Stand down!”

Ling Chen just gave a low shout, releasing a wave of pressure that sent the two flying.

At this time, the island’s various strong figures had gathered at the plaza.

Ling Chen took a quick look; among them were two black-robed men of Junior semi-saint level, and a white-browed elder who had reached the Intermediate semi-saint level.

Indeed, Nine Spirit Island harbored several powerful figures, a hidden trove of talents.

One of the black-robed men cast his gaze on Ling Chen, squinting, ”Who is this kid?”

”Who knows? Some wild kid from nowhere dares to ring the bell and summon us.” The other black-robed man spoke gloomily.

”Is everyone here?”

Ignoring their comments, Ling Chen glanced around and continued speaking on his own, ”I came today to announce a significant message to everyone.”

”From now on, Qing Mountain Sword Sect will be the dominator of Nine Spirit Island, and all sects on your island must follow under Qing Mountain Sword Sect.”

Encased in True Qi, Ling Chen’s voice quickly spread through the crowd.

However, that statement plunged the plaza into a brief silence.

The next moment, piercing laughter echoed abruptly.

”Did I just hear wrong? What did this kid say? What...what Sword Sect?”

”Seems like he said Qing Mountain Sword Sect! He claims we must all submit under Qing Mountain Sword Sect and follow him!”

”Hahaha... This is the funniest joke I’ve ever heard in my life! A sect I’ve never even heard of dares demand our submission, where’s the shame?”

”I bet these youngsters just came for laughs! Do they know what Nine Spirit Island is, and think they can wreak havoc here?”

The experts all revealed mocking expressions.

Hearing these heart-piercing words of ridicule, Luo Xian’er and Shen Qianlang were quite embarrassed, standing there somewhat stiffly.

They didn’t expect Ling Chen to be so straightforward, demanding all the powers on Nine Spirit Island to submit to their Qing Mountain Sword Sect.

But their Qing Mountain Sword Sect currently only consisted of two people; how could they have the power to make others submit?

”I won’t repeat my words.” Ling Chen’s expression was calm as he continued, ”Those willing to obey, stand to my right. Those unwilling, I will just have to eliminate you all.”

A chilling intent flashed in Ling Chen’s eyes.

”Arrogant!”

One of the black-robed men at Junior semi-saint cultivation stepped forward, glaring fiercely at Ling Chen, sneering, ”Ignorant child, let me teach you a lesson! Town sea Eight Pole Fist!”

Just after the shout, the black-robed man threw a punch at Ling Chen. The fist strength was fierce, as vast as the ocean, containing a tremendous force capable of shattering ordinary Sky Apex Realm experts.

But he was facing Ling Chen.

With just a slight lift of his eyelid, Ling Chen raised his finger. Amid those astonished gazes, he suddenly thrust forward, striking the fierce fist strength.

Pffft!

As if made of paper, the fist strength was pierced through. Ling Chen’s sword finger struck the black-robed man’s fist. Upon contact, the man’s body was uncontrollably flung back, as though hit by a meteor, spewing blood.

”You brat, asking for a beating!”

The other black-robed man also moved, drawing a Golden hoop broadsword, slashing angrily toward Ling Chen. Yet, before the blade was halfway, Ling Chen had already pointed, with his sharp sword finger striking the blade that instantly flew off.

Whoosh!

After sending the blade flying, Ling Chen’s forefinger thrust out, piercing the black-robed man’s dantian, sending him flying.

”What, defeated two Junior semi-saints with just two fingers?”

All the strong figures on Nine Spirit Island were left astounded, looking at Ling Chen as if gazing at a monster.
