Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era

Chapter 424: Chapter 217: Willpower

”Oh?”

The prompt that appeared made Chu Xiu’s eyes light up slightly.

Three pieces of [Legendary] exploded! One for each person!

”The trials can also drop equipment?”

In ordinary trials, all artifacts and equipment are converted into mission contribution points for unified calculation. Therefore, in Chu Xiu’s previous two trials, even though he almost wiped out the entire dungeons each time, he didn’t obtain any equipment.

However, the Ancient Trials are special, which is why the identity of a Civilization Envoy is so precious.

Especially at Apocalypse Difficulty, the drop rate increases significantly.

However, Chu Xiu didn’t expect the drop rate to be so high, casually dropping three Legendary items!

”Judging from the names of the equipment, these three [Legendaries] should be the exclusive equipment of these three ’Gods’, a type that is guaranteed to drop. It seems that Apocalypse Difficulty is indeed as I expected, with lots of extra surprising rewards corresponding to its ultra-high difficulty.”

Instantly obtaining three extra [Legendary] pieces of equipment, not to mention the generous amount of mission contribution points given by the three ”Gods”, allowed him to surpass the contribution points he gained from slaughtering an entire city in the previous trial. Even with Chu Xiu’s temperament, he couldn’t help but show a smile on his face.

And after checking the specific attributes of the equipment, his smile widened even more.

”All three [Legendaries] are King Tier!”

It must be noted that his only King Tier legendary equipment was painstakingly acquired by defeating the final boss Calamity!

This made him sigh once more: ”As long as your strength is enough, there are truly a lot of good things in the Ancient Trials!”

Moreover, these three pieces of equipment are not just high tier, their effects also satisfy him greatly.

Yaksha’s Halberd is a very strong attack weapon, granting the bearer the Yaksha Power blessing, significantly boosting Constitution and Life Recovery Speed, along with extra [Armor Piercing] and [Thunderbolt] attributes, far surpassing the Knife of the Unjustly Dead in frontal combat capability.

On top of that, it comes with an active skill [Void Concealment], which semi-conceals the body into the void when used, enhancing concealment ability while also granting an extra movement speed boost and damage reduction.

”This is practically distilling the core abilities of the Yaksha.”

Chu Xiu felt very satisfied. When fighting the Yaksha before, the opponent’s elusive methods were very difficult to counter.

Of course, the skills attached to the equipment are certainly not as strong as the Yaksha’s own Divine Techniques, and currently, it is only Fierce Tier, but even so, it can still provide some assistance to Chu Xiu.

The other two pieces are also very useful.

The Head of the Great Python God greatly enhances resistance to mental attacks, with the skills [Illusory Snake Gaze] and [Snake God Guard].

This equipment’s basic attributes are ordinary, but it provides Chu Xiu with urgently needed mental attack resistance, and since it specializes in this attribute, the value is very high.

Now, with three [Legendary] pieces of equipment helping together, the shortcomings have been greatly compensated for.

The focus is on the skill aspect, with two skills attached at once: [Illusory Snake Gaze] is the move previously used to control Chu Xiu, essentially a comprehensive weakened version of the Burning Blood Golden Eyes, while [Snake God Guard] summons a giant python with extremely high Constitution.

The base attributes of Jinlona’s Horn, on the other hand, are the opposite of the Head of the Great Python God, capable of amplifying the power of mental attacks, further enhancing the power of the Burning Blood Golden Eyes. The skills it comes with are [Rousing Melody] and [Requiem], both control skills of the mental type.

Overall, these three Legendary pieces of equipment can certainly amplify Chu Xiu’s strength to some extent, but not to the point of a quantum leap in combat power since the tier is only Fierce Tier.

The key, though, lies in the potential for growth in the future; once advanced to General Tier, the power of the three pieces of equipment will greatly increase.

Even if he doesn’t need them later, he can use them to exchange for resources.

It can be said that although this move forced out the trump card of the Blood Demon Incarnation, the gains were extremely astonishing.

However...

Chu Xiu’s gaze moved to the last of the prompts.

[You have attracted the attention of Forbidden Object 917!]

This made the smile on his face stiffen slightly.

Every Forbidden Object is an extremely special existence, and their tiers are generally very high because they represent some kind of ”rule” power, often taboo and destructive rules.

Thus, even though forbidden-type equipment and artifacts are extremely rare and powerful, Chu Xiu doesn’t want to get involved with such things at all, as no one knows when he might suffer backlash. This is also why, even though he acquired the Evil Eye Demon Scripture before, he didn’t even look at it and directly tossed it into the corner of his Storage Space.

And this code, Forbidden Object 917, is also very familiar to him, as it’s described in the Evil Eye Buddhist Scripture!

[Note One: A portion of the consciousness residing within Forbidden Object 917 may be encountered with a very small probability when using Buddhist Divine Techniques.]

[Note Two: There are another four Buddhist Objects, and collecting them all allows the liberation of Forbidden Object 917 through a special ceremony.]

”Does saying that I’ve attracted the attention of Forbidden Object 917 imply that this trial is actually related to this Forbidden Object?”

”This does align with my previous hypothesis, since the probability of Calamity possessing Buddhist Divine Techniques is high due to holding the Buddhist Scripture, perhaps this place is also influenced by similar rule powers.”

Although Chu Xiu completely doesn’t want to get involved with Forbidden Objects, he now has no choice but to grit his teeth and continue forward for the sake of clearing the trial.

Without further thought, he patted the Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch and stowed away the corpses of Moloch Kinnara and the Great Python God.
