Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2254: Chapter 20: Discovery!

Then Jia Rong was able to quickly leave the Genius Battlefield.

This time, who knows if he will ever return.

”Young master, going home should be a happy occasion, right? Why do you still look so glum?”

Inside the battleship, a subordinate at the Semi-permanent Star Level noticed a hint of surprise at Jia Rong’s expression.

”It’s nothing. This time, I set out with the intention of surpassing the strength of my old man before returning, but now I know that in my lifetime, it’s absolutely impossible for me to surpass him, so my mood is a bit strange.”

”Why bother trying to surpass the master? The master is an Evolutionary Creature; surpassing him might be a bit difficult. But you are his offspring, and even if your relationship with him isn’t great, it doesn’t change that fact. He wouldn’t go against you, so why be constrained by this?”

Jia Rong shook his head with a bitter smile.

Others don’t know the relationship between him and Jia Yan, but he himself understood during this long journey that perhaps his relationship with Jia Yan is far from what a normal son and father would share.

What his mother Samo Ling was thinking back then, he no longer pondered, but he estimated that when his father Jia Yan learned of his son’s existence, he was probably bewildered, right?

”Hah, when I see him, what kind of expression should I wear?”

Jia Rong always felt that he had misunderstood Jia Yan, but the resistance in his heart remained unresolved.

Additionally, during this journey, another thought emerged in his mind.

That is, what does returning to Earth even mean for him?

After all, he fully understands now that there is no relationship between himself and Earth people, even that ’Jia Yan,’ Earth’s so-called Giant Mosquito Creature’s relation to Earth people, is likely just as fellow beings evolved from the same mother star. Although he doesn’t know why Jia Yan considers his family to be people of Jia’s family, at that moment Jia Rong felt a bit lost about what his relationship with Earth people and the relatives he thought he had actually is, and how it should be maintained in the future.

”No, since Jia Yan considers himself a relative to Jia’s family people, then even as his son, there must be a relationship with Jia’s family people...”

”Moreover, having lived together for so many years, everything about Earth people and everything about Jia’s family people, I’ve always considered as my own species and relations. Can these be denied by so-called race and bloodline? Also, I’ve heard from Xi Bala that my species looks almost identical to Earth people and can interbreed with Earth people, so it is not impossible for me to become a complete Earth person, at least that’s what I think. If I continue to live like an Earth person, who dares to say I’m not an Earth person?”

Jia Rong understood these matters and then felt relieved.

His hostility towards Jia Yan, to be honest, through this unprecedented cosmic journey, has been significantly reduced, although it still exists, but it’s no longer the kind of complete childhood resistance.

Also, Jia Yan has been helping him all along. Even during this seemingly perilous journey spanning nearly ten thousand light-years, there were hardly any risks due to the three forces Jia Yan left in his body.

One of these three forces has been used, two still remain, indicating that Jia Yan had considered many things and knew that with Jia Rong’s power levels, as long as he wasn’t reckless, these three energies would be enough to protect him.

Such meticulous care, how could an already mature Jia Rong not realize?

”Forget it, once I return to Earth, I’ll apologize to him and see how he perceives me.”

Jia Rong realized this and then stopped thinking so much about Jia Yan, focusing instead on how much his power had improved this time.

Let’s leave Jia Rong’s matters aside for now.

In any case, it’s clear that if Jia Rong returns, the relationship between the father and son is bound to ease.

The story’s viewpoint returns to the Biochemical Star Region.

Within this starfield occupied by two major regions, the initially tense two forces, though stationed at the borders, show no signs of actual warfare exploding.

Everyone knows that the Orion Arm and the Empire have reached some sort of agreement.

The content of this agreement is that the Orion Arm will engage in a sub-stellar Strong Ones battle with the Biochemical Star Region. The winning side will gain a territory half a light-year away, and besides losing a large swath of the front-line territory, the losing side will also suffer a loss of face, etc.

It’s important to note that half a light-year might not seem like much, but this territory is one both sides have invested great resources and manpower in creating as the front lines during massive military standoffs. If they retreat, the wasted resources are lost, and losing face will heavily impact winning belief and soldiers’ morale, possibly determining the direction of future wars.

Everyone knows that the Strong Ones battle two years from now is merely a precursor to future wars; both sides are probing, both accumulating power.

”Hmm, did a report from the headquarters come in?”

”Is it about some Giant Mosquito species?!”

Yet during the war preparations, within the Empire’s battle line, a hidden identity stellar creature receives top-secret information from the Empire’s high-level internal circles.

Usually, only extremely significant information within the Empire is directly sent to him.

”Discovered the true identity of the Giant Mosquito species? This...”

This late-level stellar creature took hold of the report with a solemn expression.

In fact, regarding the identity of the Mosquito Patriarch, the Empire had already vaguely understood while attacking the other half of the Biochemical Star Region, because many defectors in the other half of the Biochemical Star Region claimed that Jia Yan wasn’t from a Giant Mosquito species, but rather a creature of a species called ’Evolutionary Creature.’

The Empire naturally has extensive amounts of data regarding the Evolutionary Creature species, and a casual glance would reveal how terrifying this species is.

So at that time, the Empire was unwilling to hesitate much, pouring vast human and material resources into investigating the true identity of this so-called ’Mosquito Patriarch.’

And now, that identity has finally been discovered.

”They finally found out... This guy...”

”Turns out he’s not from the Giant Mosquito species but truly from the Evolutionary Creature species.”

This late-level stellar creature shuddered, cold sweat beginning to drip.

Knowing the horrifying nature of the Evolutionary Creature species, he was constantly worried about potentially conflicting with the Mosquito Patriarch, and upon reflection, it was a good thing he did not act impulsively; otherwise, if the so-called Mosquito Patriarch personally engaged, even at the same stellar level, he would be utterly incapable of opposing a member of the Evolutionary Creature species.

”But this guy, just how strong is he really now... Let me check his data.”

”Born on Earth, then fought a long time in the Orion Arm, rapidly grew, then raced thousands of light-years away to the Genius Battlefield? After navigating the Genius Field for some time, he quickly reached the stellar level, then moved to an even farther star field, somehow achieving (suspected) late-level stellar power, returned to this starfield with many subordinates accompanying him, and as a result, every subordinate has the ability to fight across levels...”

After reading the data, this late-level stellar creature was even more drenched in cold sweat.
