Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2214: Chapter 43: The Empire... Presses In Again!

However, none of this had unfolded yet. Jia Rong didn’t have the time to ponder so much, as he was in the Ting Tian Pavilion, meeting with the blood-red Jia Yan, who in the Genius Battlefield was his most capable subordinate, especially one he relied on highly in technology—Spalla.

”Oh, you’re that guy’s son, right? Very well, come on, let us show you around your father’s domain, then I’ll get back to work.”

Spalla wasn’t like other subordinates, who had much reverence for Jia Rong’s presence. After all, back then, her attitude toward Jia Yan was the same.

Everything in the Ting Tian Pavilion was a process of understanding Jia Yan for Jia Rong, gradually grasping that this father, who clearly wasn’t an Earth person, was someone he needed to understand internally.

...

The matters in the Genius Battlefield didn’t affect the Orion Arm several thousand light-years away.

And on this side, Jia Yan was actually somewhat different from what Jia Rong knew.

Jia Yan was not unaware of the affairs there; in fact, he was completely aware.

Because Jia Yan had Space Talent and Matter-Antimatter Power, along with some quantum theory, he was able to construct his power so that it could be controlled remotely from afar.

Although this control was relatively delayed, due to the vast distance, he couldn’t manage every word or action of that power, but he could receive information from there and generally control the power’s thought processes and speech.

So he received everything from over there.

”Alas, this child’s mood is really problematic. I hope all this doesn’t bury his talent.”

Jia Yan knew that comparing talent with himself was an absolute loss for Jia Rong. This wasn’t about looking down on his son but about Jia Yan understanding that Evolutionary Creatures were defiant beings. He faced numerous dangers and crises in the process. If he could, he’d even want to trade places with Jia Rong, but unfortunately, that was impossible. So he used those immense crises and dangers to gain his current power, and if he didn’t say it, Jia Rong wouldn’t understand. But if he actually explained to Jia Rong, he would surely refuse to believe it because it was Jia Yan who said it, holding preconceived notions.

Therefore, what Jia Yan was doing now was letting go. This child might slowly understand his past and realize his intentions. He also wasn’t planning to directly tell him about the affair between his mother, ’Samo Ling,’ and himself back then, but wanted Jia Rong to find the real answer through gradual exploration. By then, perhaps it would be the moment he completely understood and might forgive Jia Yan’s past deeds.

Naturally, even now, Jia Yan didn’t think he did anything wrong, but for a child, he figured, ”Forget it. Since this kid is still willing to call me dad, then what harm is there in apologizing?”

”Alright, let’s look at the battle situation over here now.”

Jia Yan released his attention on Jia Rong and shifted his focus to the war situation in the Biochemical Star Region.

For the Biochemical Star Region, the Orion Arm no longer held much restraint.

Especially after the Empire made a large-scale entry into the Biochemical Star Region, a significant resistance and living creatures arose in another part of the Orion Arm’s de facto control.

Moreover, what made the other half of the Biochemical Star Region’s creatures happier was that the strong ones and army of the Orion Arm typically only conducted exaggerated resource plunders in the actual control end of the Biochemical Star Region. They didn’t intend for long-term control. As long as the local creatures of the Biochemical Star Region didn’t attack the Orion Arm government, they ignored their activities. In some places, the Biochemical Star Region was even assembling armies greatly, storming into the Empire-controlled areas to rescue their compatriots, which the Orion Arm also neglected.

In fact, for the Orion Arm here and Jia Yan, chaos in the Biochemical Star Region was best. Particularly with the current situation on both sides of the Biochemical Star Region, there was not much confrontation awareness towards the Orion Arm, or it was nearly negligible, being suppressed by certain strong figures and powers.

Thus, all the pressure of the Biochemical Star Region’s combat shifted entirely onto the Empire.

The empire-controlled half of the Biochemical Star Region was overwhelmed, especially with a few powerful figures controlling some parts of the Biochemical Star Region’s territory. They couldn’t go to the outside world much for suppression. Without them, the general strong ones facing the Biochemical Star Region’s strong ones had no chance of victory. Moreover, they were simply invaders, leading to extreme embarrassment.

Compared to the war on the other side, this half of the Biochemical Star Region, due to the laissez-faire chaotic ruling method of the Orion Arm, resulted in the entire region’s populace not resisting much. Some even endorsed this ruling method, allowing actual governance and control to be conducted by the Biochemical Star Region itself.

The internal reasons are deep. For example, the Orion Arm didn’t want to manage more, but lacked the capability. Like when they previously occupied the Biochemical Star Region, both sides knew that even if the Biochemical Star Region surrendered, the Orion Arm couldn’t genuinely devour it, rather they’d at most be equals under the management of several Giant Mosquito clan’s strong ones. When those strong ones left or paid less attention here, the Biochemical Star Region would definitely rise again, possibly even swallowing the Orion Arm, since both sides appeared as if the Orion Arm was managing the Biochemical Star Region. Yet, the gap in hard and soft power was too vast. Once the absolute strong one was gone, it was just a matter of time before the Biochemical Star Region turned the tables on them.

Thus, with Jia Yan’s team members inactive, the officials stationed by the Orion Arm considered it good enough if they could plunder resources in the Biochemical Star Region, not caring about much else.

Another major reason the Biochemical Star Region didn’t address the Orion Arm was the presence of an even more fearsome enemy—the Empire—on the other half.

This enemy, loathed to the core by the Biochemical Star Region, turned out to be exactly what the Star Region’s populace feared most on the other half, causing massive slaughter. After all, for the Empire, the Biochemical Star Region too was a formidable enemy, merely with the current Empire being stronger and since the Biochemical Star Region was first occupied by the Orion Arm, they acted with little restraint.

Therefore, in mainly confronting the Empire, the pressure on this side of the Orion Arm greatly decreased.

Nonetheless, the Empire was still the Empire. Their power far surpassed the Biochemical Star Region at its peak. In the state where the Biochemical Star Region had long fragmented due to the Orion Arm’s wars, the Empire found conquering half of the Star Region’s territory quite smooth and convenient.

”It’s said that in the half of the Biochemical Star Region near the Empire, almost all the Biochemical Star Region’s life forms have been wiped out. The Empire aims to annihilate all citizens brutally and then replace them with their own. No wonder the Biochemical Star Region’s populace resists them so much.”

”Moreover, the Empire has recently dispatched more troops, seemingly ready to invade our half?”

Jia Yan looked at the intelligence and pondered silently for a long time.

In truth, he had no intention of saving the Biochemical Star Region. If its beings were annihilated, he thought of transferring some population from the Orion Arm over, fully turning that side into the Orion Arm.

But that wasn’t feasible.
