Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2247: Chapter 17: Challenging the Genius Battlefield at the Same Rank!

”Hmph.”

Feeling the presence of that conversation, the brainwave power disappeared, and Jia Rong felt a surge of anger.

When it comes to Jia Yan, he wasn’t sure how he felt. Earlier, it was hatred, but now, with the protection of energy and realizing that Jia Yan might not have abandoned him and his mother as he thought, probably having difficulties of his own, Jia Rong was still extremely displeased with the way Jia Yan communicated with him.

The animosity arose long ago, and changing that was not a matter of an instant.

Of course, these things need an opportunity and time to possibly change. To be honest, his hatred for Jia Yan had diminished significantly—it was merely opposition.

”Three years later, participate in the battle of the strong ones. Besides, he said I would only qualify to inherit his unique cultivation method when I reached the Respect level... I worked so hard for so many years, barely reaching the Respect level, and only just met the basic requirements for his cultivation technique?”

Jia Rong couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

In fact, he knew that while he was considered quite talented in this Genius Battlefield, there were differences even among the top geniuses. The truly powerful could reach the Stellar level, not just any Stellar level. However, among the top geniuses, only a few could achieve the Stellar level, and while he was considered formidable, he wasn’t the most formidable among them.

So whether he could reach the Enduring level in his lifetime, he didn’t know.

Now hearing about Jia Yan’s unique cultivation method, he felt a slight stirring in his heart, wanting it but also held back by his own pride, not wanting to ask for it.

”Forget it. He probably still sees me as a child... but he completely forgets that if we count by age, I’m only twenty or thirty years younger than him. At my age, he might have already been at the Semi-permanent Star Level, right? Haha, thinking about it carefully, what kind of genius am I... talking about inheriting his genes, no wonder he doesn’t recognize me—such disparity.”

Jia Rong, after seeing so much in the Genius Battlefield, had fallen into despair about catching up with Jia Yan in the future, let alone getting anywhere near him.

It should be noted that Jia Yan was already at the Stellar level. Even if Jia Rong was not mistaken, in the Stellar level, he wouldn’t be among the weakest. After all, he was that person...

And what about Jia Rong himself? Even in this Ting Tian Pavilion, where everyone praised his talent, where everyone said that in the Genius Battlefield, he was a top-tier genius with a lifetime opportunity to achieve the Stellar level. However, in reality, after knowing his talent and real promotion speed, there was a subtle sense of disappointment. He claimed to be the son of ’Jia Yan,’ the one with historically the most terrifying talent in the Genius Battlefield, and even combat power that was extraordinarily unrivaled, yet just a common top-tier talent?

If Jia Rong were the son of an ordinary strong one, that’d be great—definitely a dazzling existence, bringing glory to the family.

But being the son of the Evolutionary Creature ’Jia Yan,’ such an ability value might cause others to feel a tinge of disappointment.

”Five years, huh? Respect Level, he really thinks highly of me.”

Jia Rong felt a bit of tension, because for Jia Yan, in five years, not to mention reaching the Respect Level, achieving the Semi-permanent Star Level wouldn’t be a miracle, but for Jia Rong, who already knew himself well, it was completely different.

Jia Rong’s talent was strong but only stronger than average geniuses. Currently, he was merely a High-level Star Space Existence, and just promoted at that. If he wanted to be promoted within five years, he thought he had a certain chance, or rather, it should be absolutely possible. But he wanted more than that.

He wanted Jia Yan to at least view him differently, to let Samo Ling, who waited bitterly at home, know well that her son could make her proud. So merely reaching the Respect Level wasn’t enough—at least he wanted Respect Middle Stage Strength.

To achieve Respect Middle Stage, he couldn’t continue cultivating as before over these five years, because the previous cultivation method definitely couldn’t provide any chance for him to reach the Respect Middle Stage.

”I remember he once fought many strong ones in this Genius Battlefield, even participated in many Genius battles, to quickly advance to the Stellar level. But I know I won’t be him, nor could I be him, so progressing that much is absolutely impossible. Still, I can learn from his path, because genetically speaking, at least half is his, and my dominant genes are his. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be possible to achieve my current talent based on my mother’s genes. So by following his promotion method, maybe I can cultivate with a much better pace than now.”

Having figured all this out, Jia Rong finally decided on his promotion strategy.

That is to learn from Jia Yan, participating in his greatest scale of combat improvement in the Genius Battlefield after leaving the Orion Arm.

Thus, a message spread out from the Heaven Listening Pavilion Star, where many people’s attention had already turned.

The ’Evolutionary Creature,’ the most terrifying genius in the history of the Genius Battlefield, Jia Yan’s son, Jia Rong, prepared to go out and challenge the geniuses of the Genius Battlefield.

”I heard that Jia Rong is a waste, completely lacking his father’s traits—a waste with talent far inferior to his father.”
