Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2244: Chapter 15: Refusal!

The Empire over there didn’t quite understand the gap between Jia Yan’s subordinates, so after a period of confusion, they similarly decided to march toward Lord Luo Longsi.

As Strong Ones, their response time and speed were incredibly fast.

The arrival of the peace negotiation mission was surprisingly rapid, coming only half a month after the battle.

Both sides had just fought and had some understanding of each other’s strength and capabilities. Neither side had gained a significant advantage; although it seemed the Strong Ones from the Orion Arm won a round, the depth shown in that battle was still an initial advantage for the Empire.

”This is our Empire’s Middle-order Powerhouse arriving this time. Are you Lord Luo Longsi?”

A Stellar Class Junior creature came to introduce the highest-level creatures from both sides in front of Luo Longsi’s army.

On Luo Longsi’s army side, a Semi-permanent Star Level creature flew up to the eye level of the Stellar Class Junior creature, trying to appear composed but still somewhat unnatural due to the difference in strength.

”That’s right. On our side, this is Lord Luo Longsi. Is your Middle-order Powerhouse Lord Titan? Please.”

”Alright.”

The two sides thus met, and the negotiation delegation swiftly entered Luo Longsi’s army.

Such a negotiation involved remarkably powerful beings sent over, primarily to prevent any changes from Luo Longsi’s army. Hence, even if they couldn’t defeat Luo Longsi’s fleet, if a conflict occurred, holding on until the backing fleets and Strong Ones arrived would still be feasible.

”Is it Lord Luo Longsi?”

When the fleets from both sides connected, a creature resembling a large female figure covered in green leaves floated in the air. From the Empire’s fleet, another equally imposing creature gently asked.

”That’s right, you must be Lord Titan then. We’ve awaited you for a long time.”

Luo Longsi’s eyes sparkled, gazing in the direction from which the voice came.

”Lord Luo Longsi, your strength is indeed impressive. It’s a pity that your surrounding fleet and subordinates let me down a bit.”

Titan flew out from his gigantic battleship; he was a crocodile-like creature.

This creature was at least over five kilometers in size, larger than Luo Longsi.

”Oh, you say my subordinates are disappointing. Do you think that if you start a war with me now, you can escape from being surrounded by the disappointing subordinates? Feel free to try.”

Seeing that the other party started with such a statement, Luo Longsi realized they weren’t sincerely here to negotiate peace, thus her tone turned cold.

”No, since we are here for peace, naturally we won’t resort to violence.”

Titan’s eyes sparkled, noticing that Luo Longsi was unperturbed by his provocation, coldly discussing the potential for combat, clearly unafraid of truly engaging in battle, which gave him a certain assurance.

”Alright, since you are here for peace, state your strategy. You must have a desired bottom line.”

As a Strong One, time is extremely precious for Luo Longsi; she roughly understood the opponents’ intentions with this negotiation, so it’s better to speak quickly, whether it leads to war or retreat. In any case, she wasn’t afraid at all.

”Hmm?”

Titan felt rather anxious at this point. Because he sensed great confidence in Luo Longsi’s words, which was never a good sign.

A Middle-order Powerhouse with confidence is absolutely not trivial.

”Our Empire mistakenly attacked you this time intending to help some of the homeless people and those wanting to see family in the Biochemical Star Region. Wasn’t that our original goodwill intent, and can your side understand our actions?”

Titan said.

”To help the homeless? And helping those who want to see family on our side? Haha, alright Titan, we speak frankly here, you have plans clearly known to us, so instead, state your actual bottom line, then we can either negotiate or directly fight, which would be more forthright.”

Actually, Luo Longsi’s task from Jia Yan was to delay as much as possible because they needed time.

But now, if they weren’t firm, letting opponents see through their needs would be more troublesome, possibly allowing the opponents to take advantage, which would surely be counterproductive.

”Directly fight? It’s not entirely a bad option, but our Empire loves peace, and this time it’s just to help poor homeless talents from the Biochemical Star Region to start the fight. The Orion Arm didn’t appreciate our good intentions... Alright, I’ll state our bottom line.”

”For the sake of controlling the border at that half Biochemical Star Region, considering the homeless and those wanting to see their families, let the Orion Arm show some humanitarian spirit by surrendering the half-light-year border at the actual control line to us. In this way, the unfortunate people within the controlled line in the Biochemical Star Region we govern can finally find their families.”

Titan shamelessly stated their demands and rationale.

Luo Longsi felt her chest swell with anger, almost going mad.

Though she was a Strong One who had experienced many battles, they were always contests or struggles among Strong Ones. She had never experienced wars between forces or nations and was quite displeased with dignified robbery under the guise of a reason.

But being displeased doesn’t change reality.

”Lord Titan, since your Empire wants such a thing, then forgive us, we refuse.”

Luo Longsi didn’t even need to ask Jia Yan, for she knew his answer.

Looking at Jia Yan’s actions, he had never been bullied like this before. She even thought, if Jia Yan hadn’t transformed his mentality to be as calm as a Strong One, the previous Jia Yan might have already acted against this much weaker Middle-order envoy, daring to speak so boldly.

”Refuse?”

Titan’s expression turned dark.

No doubt, this was a mission he came to Orion Arm’s controlled half to achieve, trying to claim a half-light-year of control effortlessly would be some accomplishment. Of course, the control of a half-light-year was just the first step, exploring the realities of Orion Arm first, and in future, the Empire naturally planned the second step, third step, until the entire Biochemical Star Region was swallowed whole.

Even Orion Arm’s homeland, seemingly shrouded in a Protective shield inside territory, they had begun detailed planning to seize it in one breath if the opportunity arose.

But now, it seems taking the half-light-year won’t be easy, as Luo Longsi, the leader, outright rejected without hesitation.

”Luo Longsi, well done.”

As Luo Longsi spoke, she felt that not consulting Jia Yan might have been disrespectful, but his Brainwave Power reached her ears, giving her encouragement.

This also allowed the former Female God Spirit to exhale greatly.

The crocodile Strong One, Titan, then spoke.

”Lord Luo Longsi, I respect you as an Outsider who occupies such a vast Starfield, showing some talent. Consider this, after all, you are Outsiders trying to hold onto unfamiliar territory, which isn’t easy. You might think that Giant Mosquito being Strong Ones supporting you would be significant, right? Indeed, I believe even a Strong One like you being subdued by a Giant Mosquito clan creature suggests his power is immense, possibly exceeding or matching our Empire’s several Stellar Class Late Level lords. But...”
