Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 597: Chapter 9 The Battle Has Begun! [Subscribe Requested]_1

A colossal flying monster, leading a dozen similarly massive and powerful monsters, arrived above the frontlines of the Earth Army!

He was like an immovable mountain, hovering above the Earth City’s military force.

He not only intimidated the enemy, but also the subordinates whose loyalties were still uncertain.

”Is this the so-called Lord Assassin?!” A Frogman officer expressed his grave doubts.

The question did not need answering. Recently, the figure of the Giant Mosquito had caused quite a stir across the entire Grey-Yellow Star, with its image appearing several times every hour on television. How could the Frogman officer in charge of the No.5 City Security Team not recognize it?

However, what he saw in the video and in real life were two completely different things. The imposing size of the Big Mosquito, along with its indescribable aura, gave this Sky Level peak security captain, a whole new perception compared to what he’d encountered in the media. The powerful presence of the Star Space Level creature struck him with significant shock!

Jia Yan, on the other hand, was oblivious to the gazes and intimidations on the battlefield. At this moment, as he looked at the defensive army composed of thousands of living entities on the opposite side, his eyes showed little emotional fluctuation.

Compared to the battles he had faced before, the current situation did not seem to pose a threat to him.

After all, he used to be a loner, always fighting in desperate situations. Now, commanding an army of two hundred thousand, and having grown to a level he previously could not even dare to imagine, he felt no risk. Even if things went south, he could still manage to escape!

He cast a brief glance at the pathetic security team and set his sight on the increasingly prosperous hinterland—Fifth City!

This was a city with a population reaching tens of millions, or even as much as twenty to thirty million, essentially a colossal nation.

Although a sense of panic had spread across the city, it remained colorful and bustling under the night sky.

The only disharmonious sight was the enormous defense cannons protruding from the ground all over the city!

The number of cannons was staggering! Some of them, Jia Yan felt, could even pose a serious threat to him!

After all, these were defense measures put in place by the Osto military. Even though they might not be as good as their own, they far surpassed the firepower of any ordinary Golden Desert Force’s defense cannon.

Jia Yan’s sight narrowed.

”I hope Daphne’s trump card has taken effect. Otherwise, these defense cannons alone could cause numerous casualties among the rabble,” he thought.

The battle had yet to unfold.

Jia Yan looked back at his forces, then suddenly said to Long Wu...

”Long Wu, you go first in the first round. Together with the ground forces, disperse the enemy’s security team. The airborne units will be dealt with by Kest, Jig, Stoverlin, and Wu Kanduo. I hope you all can give it your all. Go!”

”Yes!”

Several dark figures responded promptly. They didn’t overthink any possible issues with Lord Mosquito’s orders. Rather than being killed outright by the Giant Mosquito, they decided it was better to fight for a chance to survive in battle!

After all, with their strength, there’s still a high chance of survival in such battles.

Whooosh!!!

A swarm of monstrous creatures took flight towards the Fifth City!

”Everyone, listen up! If you want to survive, follow the Lords flying above you and attack together!”

An eloquent creature on the ground mobilized the war machines and other living entities assigned by Daphne to attack, and immediately, the combat units on the ground also started marching forward in unison!

As beings from the Golden Desert that are constantly fighting, the intelligent lifeforms of the desert might not excel in individual combat, but their proficiency with weapons and cooperative abilities were impressive, they were still able to maintain a perfect military discipline while not at a disadvantage!

Boom boom boom boom...

The roaring sound of the primitive engines of the war machines echoed far into the night.

Some hovering aircraft appeared overhead, bearing the ”Civil” mark. Anyone with a bit of knowledge about Grey-Yellow Star would know, these belonged to one of the largest news media on the Grey-Yellow Star. They began live broadcasting the battle from all angles, but given the Earth military’s unclear stance, they didn’t dare to approach recklessly.

The footage was simultaneously received by countless households, and the figures of Giant Mosquito and other Strong Ones kept appearing on the screens. It seemed that the hosts on these aircraft had done their homework on the Strong Ones of the Golden Desert, and they were spewing out one narrative after another!

”Dear viewers, please kindly look at the dusky monster flying in the sky, this is the so-called ’Lord Assassin’. However, as per our channel’s previous research, this name ’Assassin’ was bestowed to this monster by the audience during its participation in the Battle Pet Competition in City Six. Its real name is still a mystery!”

”The previous Battle Pet enthusiasts from City Six could have never imagined that their beloved Assassin has now turned into a massive monster threatening the peace of our Fifth City!”
