Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

691 Towards the Capital City of the Sky Empire!

Bang~

Fwoosh!

As the body of the demonic cultivator fell lifelessly to the ground after he had his head pierced through by Hui Yingʼs sword, his body was quickly consumed by the forbidden technique he had used to burn his life essence.

Normally, the forbidden technique would not have ended up consuming the body of the demonic cultivator so quickly... But now that the demonic cultivator had died and there was no way to keep the forbidden technique under control, it quickly burned through the remaining life essence still left in the body of the demonic cultivator while taking the shape of a blood red flame that burned the body of the demonic cultivator until nothing was left!

”This... Is not how I expected things to end...”

Walking over after seeing the demonic cultivator falling dead to the ground before being consumed by a blood red flame, Bai Ning could not help inspecting what little remained of the demonic cultivator before turning towards Hui Ying with disbelief.

No matter how he thought the battle would end, he had never expected for Hui Ying to be the one to deal the decisive blow and kill the demonic cultivator while it was focused on him.

Not to mention the fact that the demonic cultivator had already been attacked once by Hui Ying and should understand that she would be able to do so again, Bai Ning was amazed over the power behind the sword attack of Hui Ying.

Even considering that she had used all her strength to kill the demonic cultivator, the power behind her attack just now had clearly exceeded her current cultivation realm and reached a new level that was both faster and stronger compared to her first sneak attack.

From the fact that the demonic cultivator had ended up getting killed without any time to react, it was obvious that he had not expected the sudden increase in strength from Hui Ying... To be honest, Bai Ning had a feeling that the demonic cultivator had not even noticed Hui Ying approaching him in the first place...

”Hah... That was... Hah... Exhausting...”

”Indeed, we should get going before we end up running into another demonic cultivator in our current situation... Stay here for now and recover, I will pick up my artifacts first.”

”Fine by me! Call me when you are ready to leave.”

As Hui Ying laid down on the ground exhausted from her earlier attack, Bai Ning who was in far better condition even after having fought with the demonic cultivator quickly moved around the dead town to pick up the different defensive artifacts that had survived the earlier clash and had only been sent flying.

Even if the majority of the defensive artifacts had been damaged far too much, the most precious among the defensive artifacts were still intact without the slightest sign of damage.

”That should be all of them... Letʼs get going!”

”Ah? Okayyyy~”

After having collected the last of his still intact defensive artifacts, Bai Ning and Hui Ying soon left the dead town without looking back.

The demonic cultivators had all been killed and the demonic formation had been destroyed, there was no reason for them to stay any longer and risk running into a group of powerful demonic cultivator before they had recovered fully from their fight with the Higher Demon Realm demonic cultivator.

As for cleaning up the dead town? They did not dare do so, as that would take hours... And given their current circumstances, it was not worth the risk so in the end, they decided to just burn down the town and reduce the place to ashes before leaving.

At least this way, any demonic cultivators passing by would not be able to use the dead bodies of the townʼs inhabitants for another demonic formation or ritual to increase their strength!

...

”So... The time to leave is finally here, I wonder how Bai Ning is doing...”

Looking out the window inside his cultivation room at the spirit spring lake just outside, Xuan Hao let out a short sigh as he thought about the journey to the capital of the Sky Empire, while also thinking about Bai Ning who was still hunting down demonic cultivators in the Azure Sky Kingdom.

The past few weeks passed by in a flash, with most of his time being spent on recovering from the damage he had received to his dantian during the merger of his two domains.

At this point in time, although he had not managed to fully recover, he was not that far away from it and would at most need another week to do so. More than enough time for him to recover before he reached the capital of the Sky Empire. Even if travelling would slow down his recovery speed...

”Now that I think about it, who will be going with me for the sect alliance...? Is it Elder Song, Feng Chen... Maybe Shu Yao?” Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao soon shook his head.

Elder Song and Feng Chen were unlikely to be going with him. After all, the sect could not run without them being present for an extended period of time.

Shu Yao on the other hand was busy helping Elder Song with the new disciples of the sect...

”In the end... Am I going to the capital of the Sky Empire by myself?” Muttering this to himself, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit uncomfortable at the idea of going to the sect alliance by himself.

After all, he was not familiar with the Sky Empire nor was he familiar with any of the different sects and other powers that would be present for the sect allianceʼs establishment.

However, at least it would be easier to keep himself safe in case something ended up happening.

I should just be going there for formalities sake and shouldnʼt really have to do anything for the sect alliance of the Sky Empire other than showing up and agreeing to join the sect alliance. The other stuff of working together with other sects should come after the sect alliance is established and that should be something Elder Song will take care of together with Feng Chen...

Shaking his head as he thought this to himself, Xuan Hao looked towards the lotus farm Zu Fei had constructed close to the shore of the spirit spring lake.

Even if there was not really anything to do other than show up for the sect allianceʼs establishment and get to know some of the other sects that resided inside the Sky Empire, Xuan Hao still felt uncomfortable going to the capital of the Sky Empire alone.

”Hah... I should get ready and inform my disciples before leaving...”

Letting out a sigh, Xuan Hao turned around and left his cultivation room. Intending to inform his disciples before he left so they would at least have a chance to ask him any questions they might have before he left.

Especially Qing Yi, who was in the process of preparing to breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm.

Whoosh~

Meeting up with Chu Yang and Qing Yi, Xuan Hao ended up spending the next three days teaching both of them and answering any questions they had about their cultivation.

The one who ended up needing the most help was as expected Qing Yi, who was slowly getting ready to break through to the Nascent Soul Realm and catch up to Chu Yang who had broken through ahead of her.

Bai Ning on the other... Was busy outside with hunting down demonic cultivators together with another disciple from the sect.

At first, Xuan Hao planned to visit Bai Ning before leaving, but seeing that he was together with another disciple and was doing fine, he decided against it and just ended up informing him through his communication talisman.

After all, if he ended up showing up, he was sure that the relationship between Bai Ning and the little disciple he was hunting demonic cultivators together with would change if he had not already informed her about who his master was.

Bai Ning had finally made a friend that was not a living fossil from the Blacksmithing Hall... Or Sea of a Thousand Furnaces as it was called now. This was not something Xuan Hao wanted to ruin!

Hopefully, Bai Ning would end up making more friends his age after returning from the Azure Sky Kingdom in the future.

At the very least, Xuan Hao felt that sending Bai Ning to the Azure Sky Kingdom was a great idea.

Not only did Bai Ningʼs strength and combat experience increase a lot from what he had observed, but he had also started making friends with other disciples from the sect instead of the different blacksmithing elders!

...

”Time to leave... I hope the sect alliance thing ends up going well...”

Returning to the Star Shattering Sect after having checked up on Bai Ning and already having informed Feng Chen and the other elders about him leaving, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes as he gazed off in the direction of the Sky Empireʼs capital city.

Whoosh~

Feeling both nervous and excited at the prospect of finally meeting someone who had surpassed the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao began his journey towards the core of the Sky Empire!
