Capítulo 1348: Chapter 498: Chairman!

Yuhua Business Building, Shangya Clothing Design Co., Ltd.

“Lingling, please check if these materials are complete. If there are no issues, we’ll have completed the process.” HR Sister Hu placed several documents on the desk.

Yao Lingling quickly glanced over them, confirmed they were correct, and lifted her head with a sincere smile: “No issues, thank you, Sister Li, for your hard work.”

“Okay, then I’ll head back to my office. Contact me anytime if you need anything.”

Watching Sister Hu’s silhouette disappear at the end of the corridor, Yao Lingling took a deep breath and started organizing her personal belongings.

Actually, there wasn’t much left. During these days of handling the transition, she had already taken most things home.

She stuffed documents, a mug, a pen holder, and other items into her backpack.

She patted the computer that had accompanied her for over a year.

Yao Lingling stood up, glanced around at her colleagues, and showed a warm smile: “Today, I’m officially resigning, bye-bye, Xinmin, Brother Wang, Zhao…”

“Lingling, stay in touch in the future!”

“I really hate to see you go. Come back often if you have the time!”

“Lingling, good luck! If I ever can’t make it, I’ll come to join you ha!”

…

Due to her personality, Yao Lingling had good relations with her colleagues, and everyone liked this cheerful, generous, enthusiastic, and lively girl.

Laughing all the way out of the office area.

Passing by the design department, conference rooms, tea room countless times…

Arriving at the elevator.

Yao Lingling’s eyes slightly heated up, she pursed her lips tightly.

No matter what, this was her first company after leaving school.

Perhaps there were many small issues, but it indeed gave her the capital to establish herself in Yan City and accompanied her from intern to designer.

All along, she felt a strong sense of belonging to Shangya.

Footsteps rang behind her with some urgency.

Xiao Mingxuan hurried over from around the corner. His steps hesitated for a moment but eventually moved forward and spoke softly: “Lingling.”

Yao Lingling snapped back to reality, waved with a smile: “President Xiao, I’m really saying bye-bye this time, thanks for your help with the resignation. It let me make quite a bit, hehe.”

Her smile remained warm and healing, but Xiao Mingxuan sensed a feeling of distance in it.

“Ding—” the elevator door slowly opened.

Xiao Mingxuan looked at her bright eyes, and thoughtfully said: “I wish you a smooth journey! No matter what, I’ll always consider you a friend, goodbye.”

Yao Lingling was silent for a moment, then raised her head: “Goodbye, Mingxuan, I wish you a smooth journey too, good luck!”

With that, she strode into the elevator.

The elevator door slowly closed. Xiao Mingxuan stood still, watching her gradually disappearing figure, feeling as if finally letting go of something.

…

The cool wind swept in, blowing her long hair.

Yao Lingling glanced at the gloomy sky overhead, a hint of determination in her gaze.

No matter what the future holds, she is ready to face the challenges.

“Beep beep beep—”

The silver-gray Suzuki UY125 smoothly navigated the busy streets, its engine sound sharp and powerful.

More than ten minutes later, the motorcycle steadily parked in front of Huashang Clothing headquarters administrative building.

After locking the vehicle.

Yao Lingling took out her phone, checked the time, 10:21.

She spoke in the WeChat group and left a message for Tang Song.

Soon, a familiar figure ran out of the office building.

Zhang Jiahong, wearing low heels, jogged forward with a wide smile and hugged her: “Lingling, you finally came!”

Yao Lingling patted her friend’s shoulder and asked with concern: “How’s everything going on Shumin’s side? Smoothly?”

“Very smoothly!” Zhang Jiahong grabbed her arm excitedly, “Signed the labor contract directly, just assigned to a workstation next to mine.”

“That’s good.” Yao Lingling nodded and glanced toward the office building, “I’m not your company’s employee, is it okay to go into the office area?”

Zhang Jiahong assured: “Don’t worry, it’s totally fine! Our design center connects with many works daily, and there are people from all sorts of departments, so no one would care, plus you’re waiting for a senior.”

She’s this bold because there’s someone behind her.

Ever since Lin Muxue spoke to her last time, both colleagues and leaders have treated her particularly politely.

Once, even Chief Assistant Feng Yashan greeted her, it truly filled her with pride!

The two chatted as they took the elevator to the third-floor R&D design center.

Compared to Shangya, the office environment here was much more spacious and bright.

Next to each designer’s workstation were not only various fabrics and ready-to-wear samples, but also some plastic mannequins.

The entire area was full of creativity and vitality, and the air was filled with a faint scent of fabrics.

Arriving at the southeast office area, Yao Lingling immediately saw Li Shumin waving at her excitedly.

Her face was full of radiant smiles, she quickly walked forward, and after a brief greeting between them, the three sat at the workstation and began to chat quietly.

Li Shumin seemed unusually excited, enthusiastically describing the numerous benefits of the new company.

…

Eighth floor, large conference room.

The proposal for reorganizing the board of directors was undoubtedly passed with a 55.4% positive vote.

Next came the nomination of new directors.

According to Huashang Clothing’s company charter, the shareholding ratio is directly linked to the allocation of board seats.

Therefore, the core dispute of the entire process was focused on the selection of independent directors.

He Jingping’s family holds 40.4% shares, plus the support of two minor shareholders, they can still secure 3 seats.
