Capítulo 1345: Chapter 497: Shareholders’ Meeting, Power Shift

Huashang Clothing Co., Ltd, headquarters campus.

8th floor of the administration building, Chairman’s office.

“Thank you, Young Brother Wang, for your support over the years,” He Jingping said warmly. “I believe that with the establishment of the joint venture, Huashang Clothing’s business structure will also become more stable. With the trend of live-streaming e-commerce, the possibility of going public in two or three years isn’t out of the question.”

“Then I’ll be looking forward to it, haha. Good luck, Chairman He! The interests of us shareholders rest on you! And Zhihui, I look forward to your performance as well,” Wang Chengliang responded with a smile, with a hint of encouragement in his tone.

“Thank you for the encouragement, Uncle Wang. I will surely grow the joint venture to great strength!” He Zhihui beamed with a bright smile, shaking Wang Chengliang’s hand firmly.

This shareholder, who held 3.4% of the company’s shares in his personal capacity, was not only a long-time friend of the He Family but also a crucial part of their shared interest community.

In fact, the six individual shareholders of Huashang Clothing were all friends that He Jingping had a good relationship with.

Over the years, by signing “Concerted Action Person Agreements,” He Jingping had firmly controlled the company’s voting rights, forming an unshakeable alliance of interests.

Thinking of today’s meeting topic, He Zhihui couldn’t help but glance at his reflection in the glass, feeling confident and composed.

He was considered one of the main roles in the shareholders’ meeting.

As long as the proposal to set up a joint venture with Yingqu Media passed the vote smoothly, he would officially be promoted to general manager.

Then, with resources from two major companies in hand and standing at the industry’s forefront, success and fame would soon be his!

At this moment, Wang Chengliang suddenly asked, “Chairman He, you mentioned before that there was a trust company from Xiang River wanting to acquire Huang Yangming’s shares. Has that been resolved?”

“No, it turned out to be a false alarm,” He Jingping shook his head with a smile. “Recently, I’ve been in contact with a few shareholders and institutions, and no similar news has emerged.”

He had recently contacted other shareholders and two institutions, and no similar news had emerged.

Wang Chengliang nodded and added, “By the way, what about Chairman Tang? He holds 35% of the shares. Today’s vote should be no issue, right?”

“Don’t worry, Uncle Wang,” He Zhihui said, with one hand in his pocket and a casual smile on his lips. “This guy is only eyeing our new flexible production line. Once we told him we could allocate some capacity to help with his contract manufacturing, he stopped causing trouble. President Wu said he had a good attitude and already started arranging the production line connection. He’s eagerly agreed to attend this shareholders’ meeting and hasn’t made any demands.”

Despite saying this, at the mention of Tang Song, He Zhihui still felt somewhat uncomfortable.

Huashang Clothing’s own brand already had insufficient production capacity, yet it was forced to be allocated to external clients like Songmei Clothing, which in his view was a humiliation, a concession, an admission of defeat.

His impression of Tang Song was extremely poor, even to the point of aversion.

Previously, when he suddenly intervened, acquiring shares of Huashang Clothing, it disrupted their family’s plan.

To know that his 35% shareholding had a state-owned background behind it.

He wasn’t sure of Tang Song’s background, which was also why his father remained courteous.

Thinking of Tang Song, He Zhihui gritted his teeth.

After the joint venture’s matters stabilized, once he truly entered Huashang’s core management, he might want to cause him some trouble to let him understand whose territory this was!

“Alright, Zhihui!” He Jingping suddenly interrupted his son’s words sternly, “Speak respectfully; Chairman Tang is a shareholder of our company. And your character, tone it down, mature a bit! Otherwise, how can I rest assured entrusting such an important joint venture to you?”

“Got it, Dad!” He Zhihui immediately stood up straight.

Wang Chengliang laughed twice, patting He Zhihui on the shoulder, “That’s the spirit of young people, with drive and temper!”

“Thank you, Uncle Wang, hehe, you’re flattering me.” He Zhihui flashed a bright smile, overlooking the entire campus from the floor-to-ceiling window, feeling triumphant for the moment.

Just then.

“Knock, knock, knock—” The office door was gently tapped.

Immediately afterward, Secretary Zhang walked in briskly, “Chairman He, the shareholders have started arriving at the venue. President Li of Dingyun and President Qin of Chengrong called saying they will arrive in a few minutes. However… two unfamiliar faces appeared next to several shareholder representatives, whom I’ve never seen before.”

“Oh?” He Jingping raised an eyebrow, “It’s okay, this time it involves significant matters being voted on; if shareholders are cautious and bring people, it’s quite normal.”

Secretary Zhang hesitated for a moment, nodded, and said, “Okay.”

After speaking, he bowed and left the office.

The reason for the special mention was because the two strangers had a very outstanding presence, clearly not ordinary people at first glance.

The three of them chatted a bit more.

He Jingping extinguished his cigarette, stood up, and said, “Let’s head over too. The meeting starts in only 15 minutes.”

Both nodded and followed him out.

…

Arriving at the entrance of the conference room, He Jingping paused, his gaze sweeping over the shareholders already present.

Except for Huang Yangming, the other four minor shareholders had already arrived.

Soon, his attention was drawn to the “new faces” mentioned by Secretary Zhang.

A man and a woman, about thirty-six or thirty-seven years old, dressed in well-tailored suits, expressions serious, occasionally whispering with the four minor shareholders.

He Jingping furrowed his brow slightly, a trace of unease crossing his mind.

How come he didn’t know there were these two people who simultaneously had close ties with four shareholders?

Despite his inner doubts, he suppressed his emotions, considering today’s meeting.
