Chapter 1131: Chapter 442: ”Tactical Girl” Qingqing Falls Flat

Cloud Stream Building, 30th floor.

”Clink—” A cup of steaming hot tea was placed on the coffee table.

”Thank you, President Gao.” Cheng Qiuyu leaned slightly forward and reached out to touch the teacup.

Gao Mengting sat down on the sofa opposite her and shook her head with a light laugh, ”Hearing you call me that feels so strange. How is it? Today is officially your first day getting into the work state, how do you feel?”

”Pretty good.” Cheng Qiuyu paused and continued, ”Very good, the colleagues are all very friendly.”

”Unlike Inspiration Design, Songmei Clothing is a new company. Most employees have just been promoted, so they don’t have the old-timer privilege mentality, and with the company’s flat management structure, the atmosphere becomes very harmonious.”

”It’s indeed like that.” Cheng Qiuyu nodded, saying seriously, ”I’ll work hard to produce results as soon as possible.”

She was never good at dealing with people and didn’t know how to flatter her superiors, making her feel quite uncomfortable at Inspiration Design.

”No rush, in the next few days first discuss brand strategy and user personas with your colleagues, then transform that understanding into visual language, it’s better this way.”

”I understand.”

As she looked at her aloof and silent junior, Gao Mengting reached out to stroke her head and then started talking about Songmei Clothing’s previous entrepreneurial experiences.

At home, it was alright, but after coming to the company, Gao Mengting increasingly sensed this junior’s psychological flaws.

With her personality, she really wasn’t suited for the workplace.

After finishing a cup of tea, Cheng Qiuyu suddenly asked, ”Senior, can I ask you a very personal question?”

Gao Mengting was momentarily stunned, then gently smiled, ”Of course, go ahead and ask.”

”Are you currently in a relationship with President Tang?”

”Uh...” Gao Mengting brushed a strand of hair beside her face, her cheeks slightly red, ”I guess you could say so, but don’t tell anyone else about it, it’s not good for the company image.”

Cheng Qiuyu responded with a ”hmm,” watching her senior’s expression, her gaze slightly dimmed, but quickly returned to normal.

She knew she had developed some psychological and physiological fondness for Tang Song.

Although not much, it was genuinely there.

In her past 22 years, this was an extremely rare occurrence.

At first, she didn’t know why, but after some serious reflection, she realized.

It was probably because of the bike ride that day, and the song ”New Boy.”

At that time, Tang Song left an extremely deep impression on her, his eyes filled with vibrant vitality, clear and charming.

And his singing technique had a lot of Su Yu’s influence.

If you change the male voice to a female voice, it would be half of Su Yu.

The importance of Su Yu to her was beyond words, almost like an emotional and spiritual pillar.

These two combined allowed her heartstrings to tremble because of Tang Song.

Even on a later bike ride, there were traces left on her underwear.

And then, at Lingling’s rented place, she hurriedly arrived and heard him playing ”I’m Fine” on a guitar, she really started to feel affection.

However, this feeling was still very shallow for her, so shallow that a gust of wind could smooth it.

And the senior and Tang Song’s relationship was that gust of wind.

At this moment, with her senior’s personal confirmation, she finally smoothed out her feelings for him completely.

She was always lonely, with problems in both personality and physiology, even if she were truly with a male friend, the future was doomed to be tragic.

Just like Naoko in ”Norwegian Wood.”

Crossing that psychological barrier, Cheng Qiuyu exhaled and spoke lightly, ”Senior, actually, I knew President Tang before. Before I joined.”

”Huh?” Gao Mengting blinked in disbelief, ”What do you mean?”

”When I was at Inspiration Design, because of work, I had contact with President Tang. I just didn’t know he was your partner. Then again, with Liu Wenning in the White Knight Band, we had some small conflicts...”

Then, Cheng Qiuyu briefly spoke about the encounter in Shanghai and the bike ride afterward.

Finally, she added, ”Now... we should be considered friends.”

”Oh, that’s it...” After processing what she said, Gao Mengting couldn’t help but shake her head.

One is a partner and lover, the other a cohabiting junior.

It’s surprising that they knew each other, and Gao Mengting was unaware.

If it were anyone else, it would indeed be incredible, but with Qiuyu involved, it seemed reasonable.

Her personality was too cold, even with her, she only occasionally confided.

Gao Mengting smiled and said, ”Actually, it’s pretty good. Before, considering your feelings, I didn’t dare invite Tang Song to our house for dinner, now I don’t have to worry.”

”Thank you, senior, for understanding.” Cheng Qiuyu pursed her lips, ”Then I’ll get back to work.”

”Alright, bye-bye, let’s leave work together in the evening.”

”Bye-bye.”

After gently closing the door, Cheng Qiuyu let out a long breath.

Having finally said everything, she could now work with peace of mind, otherwise, she always felt indebted to her senior.

Turning the corner, walking along the spacious and bright corridor for a while, Cheng Qiuyu’s footsteps suddenly halted.

Eyes met.

Seeing Tang Song’s clear black and white eyes, with a bright clarity, Cheng Qiuyu’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.

But soon, she returned to normal, bent slightly, and politely said, ”President Tang.”

”Good afternoon, QQ.” Tang Song nodded slightly, just about to leave, but then said, ”By the way, did Lingling tell you about the bike ride this weekend? We’re meeting at 8 in the morning, don’t forget.”

Cheng Qiuyu pursed her lips, softly saying, ”I might not be able to make it, I have something that day.”

”Oh?” Tang Song raised an eyebrow, ”Alright, let’s schedule another time.”
