Chapter 1107: Chapter 435: Doomed (Part 3)

[Zhang Jiahong: ”Alright, I’m just letting you know. They’re probably here at Huashang Clothing for work. I’ll keep an eye on things and let you know if there’s any news.”]

Yao Lingling: ”Okay, got it. Get back to work quickly, or you’ll get caught slacking by the boss!”

She put down her phone.

Thinking about the gift on Valentine’s Day, and the touch in the room last week.

Yao Lingling’s gaze became a bit dazed, feeling a mix of anxiety and hope in her heart.

Who is that girl? And what is her relationship with Senior Tang Song?

”Snap—” Suddenly, she felt a slap on her butt.

Li Shumin whispered, ”Stop overthinking. With how outstanding and handsome Senior Tang Song is now, it’d be surprising if he had no competition.”

”Hey, can you stop hitting my butt all the time!” Yao Lingling, blushing, gave her a little slap.

Li Shumin leaned close to her ear, chuckling, ”Last time when we were having hotpot at home, I noticed that Senior Tang Song occasionally glanced at your butt. Be brave, Lingling, don’t fear challenges, keep working on your glutes! Haha.”

Under her teasing, Yao Lingling quickly returned to normal and began to play around with her.

She was always an optimistic and cheerful person, never getting stuck on any particular issue.

Just like Li Shumin said, a guy like Tang Song wouldn’t possibly not have other girls around him.

The reason she didn’t dare break the ice with Tang Song or confess her feelings was because she feared rejection, which would make it hard for her to muster the courage to approach him again.

She’s already quite content with things as they are: their friendship is warming up, mixed with some flirtation.

At the very least, they could chat every day, occasionally have meals or drinks together, go cycling.

She was also working hard to become a better person.

...

Huashang Clothing, 8th floor, strategic meeting room.

Most of the participants present were at the level of vice president or higher.

Executive President Wu Wei stood in front of the projection screen, with a timeline of Huashang’s 24-year development history behind him.

The main focus of this strategic seminar was discussing the strategic development direction for ”Huashang Clothing’s next 5 years.”

Due to intensified market competition and the shift of OEM client orders to Southeast Asia.

In 2023, Huashang Clothing’s order volume decreased by 15% year-on-year, and profits dropped by 1.5%.

The prominent self-operated high-end women’s clothing brand, ”Huashang Light Words,” was struggling with growth and even showing a declining trend.

These issues had actually been present for a long time, and the management had been striving for change, but with little success.

Tang Song understood the situation after listening for just over an hour.

The meeting today seemed to focus more on formality than substantial outcomes.

Everyone seemed to voice their opinions, yet failed to propose effective solutions.

As a traditional manufacturing enterprise with many years of operation, Huashang Clothing had its evident issues internally.

Attempting a drastic transformation and reform posed numerous challenges.

During the break in the meeting.

Administration Director Chai Wei approached with a radiant smile, ”Chairman Tang, you visit the company so infrequently. Would you like me to show you around our office building, to each floor?”

As the newly appointed chairman, this was Tang Song’s third visit to the company.

And every time, he only met with the senior executives.

Ordinary employees still didn’t know that the company had gained a young, handsome shareholder and chairman.

Tang Song pondered for a moment, gently shook his head, and said, ”Thank you, President Chai, but that’s not necessary.”

He mainly came here to discuss OEM matters with CEO Wu Wei, not to make a splash in the employee office area.

However, the assistant Xue beside him was evidently not as low-key or calm as him.

Upon hearing Chai Wei’s words, her eyes immediately brightened.

She slightly twisted her waist, unable to hold back and said, ”Chairman Tang, how about I check it out for you? That way, the next time you come to the company, there’d be no need for President Chai to lead the way.”

Because of her connection to Wen Qiuyue, she especially wanted to engage more with Huashang Clothing.

This was a rare good opportunity.

Tang Song turned to look at her, smiling, ”Alright, I’ll leave it to you then.”

He could see that Xue had no interest whatsoever in the ”strategic seminar.”

Sitting here for over two hours was indeed quite torturous; getting some fresh air could be good.

”Okay, Chairman Tang.” Lin Muxue gracefully stood up and followed Chai Wei outside.

The two of them began to wander through each floor from top to bottom.

”The 8th floor is mainly the executive office area, with some strategic decision-making meeting rooms...”

”The 7th floor is the employee service complex, featuring a medical room, gym...”

40-year-old Chai Wei had worked at Huashang Clothing for over a decade and was savvy in dealing with people.

Seeing Lin Muxue’s figure and appearance, as well as Tang Song’s attitude towards her, she naturally would not underestimate this Assistant Lin.

She behaved with utmost enthusiasm and courtesy.

Along the way, the elegant, graceful, sexy, and beautiful Lin Muxue attracted countless glances and discussions.

Occasionally, when they met department leaders, Chai Wei would also take the initiative to introduce both parties.

Upon hearing that she was the board assistant of the company, everyone showed extreme enthusiasm.

In the midst of the crowd’s attention, Lin Muxue walked lightly, radiating confidence and spirit.

For quite a long period, she had worked as a part-time commercial model.

She took quite a few jobs from Huashang Clothing, even came here to shoot some product photos.

At that time, she was just a small-time model, where even a junior activity planning manager could boss her around.

Now, pacing once more through the headquarters of Huashang Clothing, feeling the awe and admiration from everyone.

She felt her emotions surge, her spirits high.

Nearly blurted out a few words in English to express her regards to the employees.

...

Research and Design Center, 3rd floor (Basic Laboratory), Southeast office area.

Zhang Jiahong sat upright at her workstation, her desk filled with design sketches, color cards, and a 27-inch graphic screen.

There were also some inspiration boards on the nearby wall.

Her fingers flew across the graphic screen, refining design curves, annotating modification points.

Finding a job in her dream company with stability and earning a high salary of 6k, she cherished it greatly.

Despite being departmental, she proactively worked overtime every day.

At night and on weekends, she’d consult Yao Lingling about design-related experiences.

The office area suddenly hushed, colleagues who had been chatting returned to their workstations, sitting with solemnity.

Noticing this anomaly, Zhang Jiahong immediately realized a leader was approaching!

Soon, she heard the subdued chatter of colleagues nearby.

Turns out, a board assistant was to tour this area.

Zhang Jiahong quickly tidied the design sketches and color cards on her desk, neatly arranging them.

She waited for about ten minutes.

Indistinct footsteps and voices were heard down the corridor.

Zhang Jiahong continued adjusting her design drafts on the surface, but her eyes couldn’t resist looking over that way.

Soon, three figures emerged from the corridor’s corner, talking and laughing.

She recognized two: Administration Director Chai Wei and Fashion Design Manager Lv Shilei.

But standing out most was another girl.

In her early twenties, with a tall build, exquisite facial features, and bright, spirited eyes.

She wore a light tan business suit, simple yet elegant, accentuating her graceful figure.

Her steps were energetic and confident, possessing the elegance and wisdom of a businesswoman while retaining feminine charm and allure.

Like an actress stepping out of a workplace drama.

As the figure, especially her attire, came slowly into view, Zhang Jiahong’s mouth gradually opened wide.

Isn’t this the woman she saw with Senior earlier?

She’s stunning, and she’s a leader at Huashang Clothing?

Looks like Lingling might be in real trouble now!
