Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 1125: Chapter 440: Conflict of Interest (Part 3)

Hearing Tang Song’s blunt words, He Jingping’s smile gradually faded from his face.

Taking a sip of his drink, He Jingping said, ”If that’s the case, Chairman Tang might as well wait a bit. We have already started planning for a third new production line at our second factory on the outskirts of the city. We can first begin initial cooperation using the previous production line, and once the new line is set up, we will tailor a production plan for Songmei Clothing to ensure product quality and delivery times.”

His words were impeccable, but the meaning was clear—he was rejecting Tang Song.

As the Chairman, He Jingping has absolute control over the company, and his rejection essentially means Huashang Clothing’s rejection.

He Zhihui’s lips slightly curved up as he looked at Tang Song’s face.

But unfortunately, he did not see the ”angry and embarrassed” expression he had hoped for. Instead, Tang Song remained calm and confident.

”Hmm, alright, I understand.” Tang Song nodded slightly, looking indifferent, as if he hadn’t taken the matter to heart.

He Jingping frowned slightly but didn’t say anything more.

Although Tang Song is a shareholder and director of the company, this is ultimately cooperation between two companies.

His refusal had legitimate reasons and did not violate company law, so even if Tang Song wanted to challenge him, he had no grounds for action.

Beside him, Lin Muxue felt her heart skip a beat, her eyes flashing with excitement.

Goodness! Such courage!

Bold! You father and son actually dare to refuse Chairman Tang!

...

The dinner party continued as usual, with He Jingping and Tang Song still chatting amiably, but the atmosphere had become somewhat subtle.

PM.

He saw off Tang Song and Lin Muxue as they got into the Rolls-Royce Phantom and slowly drove away.

He Zhihui’s face turned gloomy, ”Dad, what should we do now? Continue negotiating with Yingqu Media? Although they are larger and have more traffic, their conditions are a bit harsh, and other shareholders might have opinions, especially this Tang Song, who has 35% equity.”

Major matters in corporate governance must be passed by shareholders representing more than two-thirds of the voting rights.

Establishing a joint venture company involving the core business or assets can also be classified under this.

Even if they directly went through the board of directors as non-major matters, Tang Song could still use legal means to assert his rights.

The reason they wanted to prioritize partnering with Songmei Clothing, besides being local Yan City companies for easier operations, was also because they were mindful of Tang Song’s ”veto power.”

He Jingping’s gaze was solemn, ”It’s not yet time to break off ties, let’s wait and see. I’ll have Wu Wei connect with him privately, whether it works out or not, it’s not a big deal.”

In his view, this matter was indeed not significant.

It was merely a ”small conflict of interest” between the two parties.

He hoped to leverage the joint venture to create a popular internet celebrity brand, helping his son establish a firm foothold in the company while boosting Huashang Clothing’s performance, and making efforts for a future listing.

And Tang Song valued his Songmei Clothing highly and did not want to lose control over the brand.

Since deep cooperation wasn’t possible, they would stick to OEM business.

However, he could only wait for the third intelligent production line, as each required at least a 30 million yuan cash investment.

For the current Huashang Clothing, this was not in the short-term plan.

...

Inside the tranquil Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Lin Muxue shifted her body, her gaze turning to Tang Song on her right.

He sat there quietly, with a tall and relaxed posture.

His high nose bridge was under slightly pursed thin lips, and his fine hair shimmered with a soft sheen under the dim light.

At this moment, he was full of captivating charm.

Seemingly sensing her gaze, Tang Song turned his head.

As their eyes met, a warm and gentle smile spread across his face.

Instantly, Xue felt like melting, her face flushing slightly.

Next, a clear and magnetic voice rang out, ”Xue, you know He Zhihui, right?”

Lin Muxue’s body trembled as she bit her lip and quietly said, ”We used to interact at work, but I’m not familiar with him at all. I haven’t seen him in nearly two years. If we hadn’t met today, I would have forgotten about him.”

”Hmm, it’s okay, I was just asking casually.” Tang Song smiled, placing his hand on her smooth thigh, gently kneading as if to comfort her.

He had completed a side mission on Lin Muxue called ”Observation and Control” and acquired the ”Passive Skill Observer.”

With his current mindset and observational skills, he naturally noticed the exchanged glances between He Zhihui and Lin Muxue.

This was also one of the reasons for his unfavorable attitude towards He Zhihui.

Lin Muxue leaned back on the soft leather seat, gazing at the dazzling starry roof, gently rubbing her legs, her face flushed and hot.

Tang Song moved his hand away, lowering the backseat window slightly, letting the cool evening breeze in.

Lin Muxue took a deep breath, gripping Tang Song’s left hand tightly, her voice trembling as she asked, ”Chairman Tang, will you continue cooperating with Huashang Clothing?”

Having just had quite a bit of red wine, she didn’t want to make a scene in the car.

Tang Song turned to look at her, smiling, ”Of course, we will continue cooperating.”

”But... He Jingping obviously lacks sincerity. The so-called third production line’s implementation is uncertain, he’s just being perfunctory with you.”

”Not bad, Xue, you’ve made great progress.”

Lin Muxue licked her lips, a bit shy, and said, ”It’s all because you taught me well.”

”Haha.” Tang Song chuckled softly, pinching her fair, delicate face.

In a calm tone, he said, ”It’s fine. Since He Jingping won’t agree, I’ll gain control of Huashang Clothing and reorganize the board. Xue, your new mission is here.”
