Chapter 24: Chapter 23 That’s it! Chapter 24: Chapter 23 That’s it! Wuling Hongguang S, Tang Song had certainly heard of it.

In the domestic MPV field, both sales and reputation were top-notch.

As a young person, he too had come into contact with various jokes about Wuling, so he didn’t have any aversion to the brand.

Since it was his first car and influenced by people around him, he had always considered a sedan and never thought about a microvan or MPV.

Now, looking at the spirited Wuling Hongguang S in the sunlight, he felt rather tempted.

It was like finding a big white cabbage in a field of flowers, the scene might seem a bit odd, but it was surprising and unique.

Tang Song walked up to the car and asked, “Brother Li, how much for this Wuling?”

Li Mingjun hesitated for a moment before explaining, “Let me be clear, I’m not trying to rip you off. The owner made a lot of modifications, and the car has been well-maintained, so it’s a bit pricey. The owner wants to sell it for forty-three thousand, and I guess at most we could drop a thousand.”

A new car like this would cost over sixty thousand on the road, but a three-year-old second-hand car with this kind of condition would be valued at less than forty thousand in the market.

This was why he hadn’t bought the car himself and was only consigning it for sale.

He had posted about it on Moments before, and many people asked about it, but they all lost interest once they heard the price.

Often, you’d spend several thousand or even more on modifications, but when it comes to selling the car, you can’t even get a higher price for it, sometimes it’s even harder to sell than a stock car.

The owner probably needed the money urgently too, having parked the car at his place a few days ago, wanting to show it to potential customers and quickly reach an agreement.

Hearing Li Mingjun’s words, Tang Song nodded, “Brother Li, I quite like this car. Tell me about its condition.”

Although the price was a bit steep, it was still within his range of acceptance, considering the system task required spending forty-five thousand.

Upon hearing this, Li Mingjun patted the car’s rear and began detailing it.

Registered in April of 2020, now exactly three years old, the entire car is the original version and paint.

Candy white color, built-in fog lights, modified LED projector headlights that are very bright, 3M tinted windows, and added roof racks.

Power steering, central air conditioning, 14-inch alloy wheels, and power windows.

The back row of seats can fully fold down, with the extended trunk space, the length exceeds two meters and the width is almost one and a half meters, very suitable for transporting goods.

Next, Li Mingjun opened the car door, revealing the interior.

It’s covered in grey and white leather, with areas like the armrests, gear stick, headrests, and dashboard accented in brown.

The two colors matched each other, looking very fashionable.

Besides that, there are bright metal plates embellishing the button areas.

Overall, it looks simple and elegant, warm, and high-end.

Tang Song’s eyes lit up. It was apparent that the original owner must have really loved this Wuling, and the modifications matched his taste perfectly.

Many things are about love at first sight, and this contrast of inside and outside was endearing, making Tang Song feel an instant attraction.

Li Mingjun squeezed the seat and smiled, “The whole interior is upholstered, with full black mats, high-definition large-screen navigation, a branded dashcam, upgraded sound system…

To be honest, the modifications cost nearly ten thousand altogether here.

All the stuff is high-quality, and if you like the original owner’s design, spending an extra three or four thousand to buy it is definitely not a loss.”

Tang Song pondered for a moment, then directly said, “Brother Li, do you have the keys here? I’d like to give it a test drive.”

“Just a moment, I’ll get them for you!” Li Mingjun quickly replied and walked towards a small house.

Guo Peng couldn’t help saying, “Song, the car is nice, but it’s indeed a bit pricey. Plus, there’s a key issue, you are also at the time to look for a partner, and you should consider this aspect when buying a car. Using this car to pick up friends and brothers, everyone would happily fight over driving it with you, but if you’re going to use this car to pick up a girl for a date…”

Guo Peng didn’t look down on the Wuling Hongguang at all, in fact, since he started working, he hadn’t looked down on any car.

But Tang Song was already 25 this year and would soon face the pressure of arranged marriages; having a decent car was undoubtedly a significant plus.

Upon hearing Guo Peng’s words, Tang Song nodded, “I understand, thanks for the heads-up, Brother Guo.”

If it had been him in the past, his first car would likely need to last a long time and indeed require many considerations.

But now, with the system, as long as he completed this task, he could get a car worth up to 500,000 yuan.

This made him cast aside any worries, knowing that if he liked it, he would just go ahead and buy it.

Li Mingjun quickly came back, handing over a remote-controlled key.

Tang Song thanked him, bent down to get into the driver’s seat, and adjusted the seat position, which was very comfortable.

Buckling his seatbelt and gripping the steering wheel, the corners of Tang Song’s mouth curled up into a slight smile, and a sense of joy and satisfaction flooded his heart.

Checking that the gear was in neutral, he pressed down the clutch deeply, inserted the key, and started the ignition.

The engine sound followed, lighting up the dashboard and car computer.

He released the handbrake, engaged first gear, matched the gas with the clutch, and pulled away.

With the experience of test-driving the previous few cars, this time it was very smooth.

The handling was steady, the steering wheel felt just right, and the steering was flexible. Thanks to the lighter body and good power output, the acceleration was also decent.

Around the test drive, the car felt extremely easy to handle.

Looking at the warm and stylish interior, the sleek, flowing body lines, the spacious cabin, the sizable trunk, and the spread-wing Wuling logo.

Tang Song took a deep breath, caressed the rearview mirror, and excitedly said, “This is the one!”

Guo Peng opened his mouth as if to say something, but eventually held back.

Li Mingjun was taken aback, not expecting Tang Song to be so decisive. “Alright, I’ll contact the owner right now to try and get the price down further for you. Let’s sign the contract today, but the transfer of ownership will have to wait until next Monday. I can handle that for you.”

With these consignment cars, his earnings were from the intermediary and processing fees.

“Sure, I appreciate it, Brother Li,” Tang Song said, smiling and flashing an OK gesture.

With things progressing to this point, Guo Peng also abandoned his intent to offer further advice and got into the car with Tang Song to experience it and casually took some photos to share with the group.

He texted, “Congratulations to Song for securing the 2020 Wuling Hongguang S!”

No sooner had the message been sent than the other three in the group exploded with excitement.

[Li Zhichao: “The interior is seriously beautiful. You’ve got to let me take it for a spin when you bring it to the office, please!”]

[Wang Chaoyang: “@Tang Song, I’ll be hitting you up when I move!”]

…

The five of them chit-chatted away in the group while Li Mingjun finally came hustling back.

He looked at the car, a bit troubled, and said, “Regarding the price, the owner can only decrease it by 500 yuan at most. The final price is 42,500 yuan. Can you accept that? However, the car’s compulsory insurance and commercial insurance still have half a year left, and those can be transferred to you as well, which should save you some money.”

“They won’t decrease it by a thousand?” Guo Peng frowned, “Jun, try talking to her again.”

Li Mingjun thought for a moment, then turned to Tang Song, “Or maybe we wait a bit longer, the more urgent the owner gets, the better the discount will be.”

“No need; let’s just go ahead with it,” Tang Song didn’t want to drag it out any longer.

Seeing the deal come to fruition, Li Mingjun also relaxed, “Alright then, the owner will come around one o’clock this afternoon. I’ll get the contract ready for you in the meantime.”

Tang Song nodded, his gaze returning to the Wuling Hongguang S, unable to look away.

His first car in life was finally going to be one he really liked. It was a moment of celebration.
