Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4315  Praising The Little Spider

Empress Hexena Xylusc continued, ”Also, just call me Hexena like Evelynn does. I canʼt be addressed as an Empress by the infamous Divine Emperor of Death. Thatʼs too embarrassing.”

”No.” Davis shook his head, ”I will always be respectful towards you. Your bloodline allowed Evelynn to become the best version of herself, full of confidence and pride, not to mention elegance, poise, beauty, and grace. In my opinion, the two of you are fated to be sworn sisters.”

”…” Empress Hexena Xylusc couldnʼt help but smile as her cheeks turned rosy.

He was indirectly praising her.

”But at the same time, you made her more viscous. Now I canʼt help but be afraid day and night, wondering when she would slaughter me...”

Davis suddenly changed his tone as he towered over her, making Empress Hexena Xylusc freeze.

”Thatʼs not me. Thatʼs my bloodline~”

She blinked, answered, and walked faster to the cabin as though running away.

”Pfft~” Tia, Evelynn, and the others giggled.

Davis leaned back and shook his head smilingly. He heard Empress Hexena Xylusc died quite young, so she was probably younger than Evelynn currently. It turns out that it was true with how she reacted.

He sensed that he had a new person to tease in the future, making him feel quite funny. Her reaction also told him that she had truly conquered her Heart Demon. If her mind was still cloudy, then he wouldnʼt have allowed her to stay with Evelynn.

Influences can be dangerous and he needed to make sure no one came in between him and his wives.

As long as she was going to stay with Evelynn, she needed to be vetted by him.

Davis turned to look at Evelynn, ”Wisteria, come out.”

”…”

Wisteria instantly came out from Evelynnʼs soul sea, standing obediently by the side.

She had her head lowered, looking quite shy instead of her usual unamused look.

Davis walked towards her and patted her head, ”You did well, protecting Evelynn and making sure no enemy reached her. You have my praise, little spider spirit.”

”Mhm…”

Wisteria nodded.

She glanced up and down at him while still having her head lowered. In her mind, the only one who could touch her without being afraid of decayed was probably him. She had a lot of problems in the beginning, unable to control her powers, but he helped her big time before they left for the clan.

She was also grateful that he supported her cultivation by giving a Time Law Treasure away. That was the reason she was immensely powerful.

More than anything, his gaze never wavered when looking at her. He wasnʼt afraid of her at all, while the others had imperceptible shivers as though they couldnʼt stand her existence. It couldnʼt be helped since she exuded the aura of a corpse and the powers of decay, but it still made her somewhat sad.

Finally, she was named Wisteria Davis.

”I will live up to your expectations, master~” Wisteria called out faithfully.

As long as there was Evelynn and him, she felt like she had no need to be afraid in that dark and lonely corpse hall where she was born and sealed.

Davis was also moved by her words and hugged her, causing Wisteria to be all smiles. Her expression was full of innocence.

He could touch her all he wanted, and Wisteria would probably never show a funny reaction because her sexual nature was zero. If he had to exaggerate, it was probably in the negatives. As a cadaveric yin spirit, reproduction for her spirit race never happened. At least, there was no record of that happening. Unless he fed her an aphrodisiac that works on the spirit of her nature, he could forget about getting pounced.

Thatʼs why he was able to be physical with her without having to be full of misgivings.

He felt like he could finally have a spirit pet to cuddle.

Taking a step back, he patted her shoulder and praised her again before sending her off back to Evelynnʼs soul sea.

For some reason, Wisteria didnʼt like staying outside, so he couldnʼt say anything about that.

Nonetheless, his expression turned a bit odd.

”Whatʼs wrong?”

”No,” Davis pursed his lips, ”Eldiaʼs been sleeping in my soul sea for a long time now. She hadnʼt woken up in three months.”

”Sheʼs a lightning spirit and they sleep for a lot of time to cool off. Itʼs common. Even a lot of darkness spirits show this trait.” Myria commented.

”I know that, and I let her sleep, but her spirit body is constantly releasing different waves of aura as though sheʼs unstable. It only occurs for a minute, and then her aura turns normal, but this is happening for a long time, making me worried.”

Myria blinked, ”Differing aura, you say? You wouldʼve considered that sheʼs evolving or regressing, but if itʼs not that- is she connecting with a celestial body?”

Davis frowned, ”You mean like how Xiesha connected with the Eternal Winter Star?”

”Yes…” Myria nodded, ”Spirits have way more relatedness to celestial bodies in the vast universe. They can derive power from it, and it is generally called astral energy. It is different from the astral energy that is gained from the stars nearby since it is from an unknown distance away, not even physically reachable. Usually, only those who have karma with these stars are capable of obtaining this kind of karmic-astral energy.”

”…?”

Davis blinked.

If that was the case, what kind of celestial body was Eldia trying to connect with? Was it even a conscious decision? Or had she entered a trance and was slowly searching to connect with it?

He couldnʼt tell.

Hopefully, he wished it would be a boon rather than a bane.

”Donʼt worry. Nothing will happen to Eldia. What about Isabella and the others? Have they made it safely?” Evelynn couldnʼt help but ask, her expression full of worry.

If she didnʼt have the hex arachnid clan to save, she wouldʼve undoubtedly gone with them. Apart from spending time to take care of children, part of the reason why she remained in the Immortal Emperor Stage was for that purpose.

”Stella got them inside safely.” Davis chuckled, ”The Eternal Twilight Realm Master didnʼt dare face her. Heʼs smart.”

”I see. Thatʼs good…” Evelynnʼs big bosoms heaved.

She smiled, hoping they were doing great in the secret realm.

”Shall we go back then?” Tia raised her brows, ”Canʼt wait to play with Stella.”

”Well, before we go back, we need to decide where to keep this treasure. Since there are many unknowns and we couldnʼt deny the chances of it going off, weʼll keep it in-”

Davis suddenly went silent.

He abruptly remembered the old witch sealed in the Shadow Dimension, Lilliana Rayton, the Soul Devouring Demoness who terrorized the galaxy thirty billion years ago. Would the hell poison work against her?

Her soul was staying alive by leeching off of numerous other Exalts and Primarchs.

He was very interested in using the hell poison against her to see its true power.
