Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4310  The Chromatix Hex Arachnid Clan Stands Tall

”I didnʼt decide that.” Empress Hexena Xylusc shook her head sheepishly, ”The Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan is innately matriarchal, and the number of legs originally represented the husbands. This way, they could have more chances for birthing another Emperor-Tier magical beast. But the foremost reason is that the arachnids tend to kill their mates after copulating that this privilege was solely devised for the imperial magical beast. That urge could naturally be controlled, but the Empress is a bit too willful… so if the mate isnʼt strong-”

She looked like she wanted to take a step back and wash herself from this matter.

Evelynn didnʼt look surprised. Emperors or Empresses tended to have more mates in order to sire powerful progeny like themselves.

As far as she knew, only Davisʼs chaotic body managed to allow them to give birth to children who retained their noble or imperial bloodline. Otherwise, it would be extremely hard for them to retain it. Others had to repeatedly copulate and sire children they didnʼt even want.

It was a tragedy. She could understand why these privileges were in place.

”There we go~”

Evelynn waved her hand at her, ”We have our substitute. We can immediately make her the Empress she wanted to be and harvest her true soul essence.”

She knew Everlight should be capable of this matter.

”…”

Empress Hexena Xyluscʼs jaws nearly dropped.

The Davis Family did indeed have too many methods for her to be worried about retaining Emperor-Tier Blood. Perhaps if she stuck with them, she guessed she would no longer need to be afraid of a Paragon Magical Beast one day.

Even now, she could see Evelynn and Myria not giving two crystals about the threat even though they had personally felt a Paragon Magical Beastʼs might. One reason- she could understand that these terrifying beasts couldnʼt descend to this layer while they were powerful, so there was no need to fear them but the people they could hire or enslaved alone would bring them plenty of trouble.

They needed to be careful about it, but clearly, Evelynn wasnʼt bothered.

Evelynn then informed Myria who then sealed the Six-Headed Hydraʼs soul, packaging it for Davis to deal with it since they decided he would make the decision.

The Azure Tree Realm Master watched Evelynn arrive before her. She didnʼt know what happened but had an inkling that it was a terrifying revelation.

”Have you finished the diplomatic meeting, Tia?”

”Of course~” Tia stood up, grinning, ”They agreed to give two Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills out of the four they have in exchange for helping them evolve five of them into becoming Seraphic Azure Trees. They would use one to dilute it and spread among the five of them and then hold onto the remaining one.”

”Thatʼs fine.”

Evelynn nodded, knowing the shrewd Tia wouldnʼt lose out in a negotiation against the innocent trees. She turned to look at them and cupped her hands while feeling sorry for them. Fortunately, Tia didnʼt seem to take advantage of them and settled for a fair price.

”Azure Tree Realm Master, we of the Davis Family hope to build a good relationship with those who wish us well. At the same time, you should mentally prepare yourselves for extinction if you want to be involved with us in the slightest.”

Evelynn didnʼt hold back. She wouldnʼt blame them if they didnʼt want to involve themselves with the Davis Family, but they needed to make that decision before joining, or else it would be a betrayal.

The Azure Tree Realm Master was silent for a few seconds before her lips moved.

”I prepared myself for that when I agreed to the First Haven Worldʼs Realm Master to take one of our young ones to change our fate. Although Iʼm taking advantage of the Supreme Oneʼs kindness again, if I donʼt take risks as the ruler of the Azure Trees, ultimately, our Azure Tree race will die out one day sooner or later. We are a prime feast for the beings of all races, after all. We canʼt rely on the authorities of the human race to protect us forever. We must grow powerful enough to be never underestimated like a twig.”

”…”

Evelynn wasnʼt sure about that comparison, but she nodded, ”Well said. If we canʼt stand on our own, protection can only go so far. Please help us clear this space of the Pyraxis Ember Arachnids. Weʼre concealing this matter from the public for the time being.”

”Oh?”

The Azure Tree Realm Master was confused by her words, but she still nodded, ”I understand.”

As the Realm Master who controlled the Azure Tree Lower Realm and made many races live in peace, she could also conceal any matter she wanted. Otherwise, she wouldnʼt have been able to hide the existence of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnids for so long.

The rest of the time was spent cleaning up traces and restoring the fabric of space.

The Pyraxis Ember Arachnids were also arrested, and the hex arachnids had a public execution among them that killed the majority of the Empyreans and Autarchs of the Pyraxis Ember Arachnid Clan, leaving only Ancestor Morten, who they needed in case they decided to go full public.

Nonetheless, the vengeance within the hearts of the hex arachnids was greatly quelled.

They were finally able to obtain vengeance.

However, that wasnʼt the most satisfying news for Evelynn and the others.

A shocking piece of news reverberated across the realms.

The Divine Emperor of Death and his forces had conquered two Lower Realms and fended off the Heavenʼs Warriors by killing eight Venerable Knights and coming to an agreement with one.

”…”

Hearing this news, the Azure Tree Realm Master practically swayed and fell on her throne.

Others might not know the weight of Venerable Knights, but she knew.

They were Exalts or Primarchs, existences who had comprehended extremely powerful Laws that even supreme geniuses might not be capable of defeating in the same realm. For eight of them to have fallen when battling the Divine Emperor of Death, she could only imagine how powerful he had grown in this short amount of time.

Thinking back, she was glad she took the risk to agree to the trade deal and evolve. His success, despite all odds, gave her hope for the Azure Tree raceʼs future.

As for Evelynn and the others, they quickly decided to return in order to celebrate their two victories! She was bursting with pride and couldnʼt wait to reunite.

She could only imagine what he would say when she presented him with a ʼsickʼ treasure!
