Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3071 Finding A Relation

The five disciples from the Fire Phoenix Clan were now tied by an icy rope conjured by Bing Luli. They didnʼt kneel anymore but sat on the ground, looking sullen, while some smiled wryly as though having accepted their fates.

Because they couldnʼt do anything, they were easily tied up by one of Bing Luliʼs techniques, but Davis was low-key shocked by her prowess.

He hadnʼt seen her battle much, but he could sense that she had grown immensely powerful in both cultivation and prowess, her cultivation at Level Nine Immortal King Stage while her prowess seemed to be six- no, seven levels higher.

She didnʼt even have any King-Tier bloodline, but could reach such a level?

He imagined that her comprehension of Ice Laws had soared thanks to Myriaʼs teachings and resources from the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Treasury.

”Who are you all…?”

The male King-Tier fey from the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm asked as he gazed at Davis and the others. He first assumed that they were from the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm, but seeing that their numbers didnʼt add up as there were so many immortal cultivators, he turned suspicious.

Besides, the fact that there was an unknown human woman with the bloodline of an Emperor-Tier Burning Phoenix was beyond his knowledge, having never heard of such a person.

”Oh?” Davis asked, ”You havenʼt met them yet?”

”Met who?” Another crimson-robed man from the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm asked.

He seemed to be the alchemist from their team, appearing charming despite having a bit of a chubby face due to his dashing looks.

”Immortals like us.”

Davis uttered, but the chubby man shook his head, ”No. We just came here as we sensed some faint undulations from the battle scars present here, thinking it might be from the Ice Phoenix Lower Realm, but after we came here, we saw that it was too weak to be the case. Just who are you people?”

”…”

Davis didnʼt know what to say as he could feel this chubby man was telling the truth with his Heart Intent. They didnʼt even know that a spatial vortex led to the First Haven World formed here, causing him to turn speechless.

He didnʼt know what to do with them.

If they hadnʼt raised a warning when they were inside, he wouldʼve absolutely crushed them.

”Alright, letʼs start from your names. Then Iʼll decide to leave you alive or not, depending on the actions you have taken here.”

”What did we do? I acted in order to save her! Itʼs— a misunderstanding.”

The crimson-robed woman spoke out loud before enunciating at the end.

It could be seen that she was uncomfortable with how she was being treated, causing Davis to imagine that her King-Tier blood must be crying out in a fury.

He chuckled, ”Who told you to be so righteous? Did you see Xerna act in a way that said that she was kidnapped, troubled, or in distress?”

”…”

The fiery woman blinked. Now that she recalled, she knew she had acted hastily as Xerna didnʼt act distressed.

”I… Weʼre at war with the Golden Crow Lower Realm, and naturally, when the Ghostly Crows who are also allied with them are here, I jumped to conclusions…”

She clenched her teeth, but looking at the Ghostly Crows appear rather tame beside them, she pursed her lips, wondering how strong this man was.

ʼIs he as strong as a leader from an Upper Realm…?ʼ She guessed.

”Enough reasons. State your names.”

Davis waved his hands, causing a series of sounds to echo.

”Lysan Auraflame.”

”Cassia Auraflame.”

”Ambray Auraflame.”

”Elowm Auraflame

”Thaddean Auraflame.”

Their leader answered, causing the others to answer, continuing from the King-Tier Fire Phoenix Fey to the others. In the end, the alchemist answered before their leader, Lysan Auraflame, opened his mouth, his expression calm and serene as though he accepted death.

”What if we killed people here? Does that mean a death sentence?”

”No.” Davis shook his head, ”What do I have to do with strangers? Since everyone is here to hunt for treasures by risking their lives, murdering isnʼt wrong for us anymore. I donʼt care about your personal vendettas either. However, if you did certain things I donʼt like, I might try to rob you of your life.”

”…”

Lysan and the others blinked.

Doesnʼt that mean he could dislike anything they might say and be off with their heads?

However, they saw Davis invite Xerna towards them, making them confused.

Indeed, Davis gestured to Xerna Zenflame, causing her to step forward with some hesitance. What was he going to do with her?

She felt nervous, considering that she saw how ruthless he was for the first time, as she always thought he was a pacifist for not killing her father and wanting to be at peace with his family. She even doubted that he was a coward, but after hearing him say that she had her father, Killian Zenflame, in the palm of his hands, she knew he was thoroughly a schemer, causing her heart to feel unease.

She couldnʼt tell what he was thinking.

”Relax. Iʼm just going to take a drop of your blood.”

”Eh?”

”Can I?”

Davis pressed on, appearing to raise his brows. Xerna Zenflame felt intimidated by his expression, that she didnʼt want to see what would happen if she said no.

She cut her finger using her thumb fingerʼs nail and released a drop of blood. The wound quickly sealed while the drop of blood floated in the air.

”Thanks~”

Davis used his soul force to collect it as he turned to look at the five people, his expression turning solemn.

”Now I need a drop of your blood. If you say no, then you will die.”

”…!?”

Cassia Auraflame and the others were alarmed. Why was he doing this when they made their position clear?

It was just a misunderstanding.𝗇𝒐𝐯𝔢𝓵𝑈𝓈𝒷.𝑐𝐎𝚖

”Youʼre going to karmic bind us?” Lysan Auraflame, their leader, asked with his brows narrowed.

However, Davis shook his head.

Seeing that he didnʼt provide an explanation, Lysan sighed lightly before doing the same things as Xerna Zenflame as he unleashed a nail at his own finger. Due to their cultivations being ninety-nine percent sealed by the icy rope, the resulting blood fell to the ground, but Davisʼs soul force instantly propped it up, allowing it to float.

The others also prepared their hearts as they gave their blood.

In any case, it wasnʼt their blood essence, so they werenʼt worried much if they would be bound heavily to a contract or curses.

Once he gathered the five of their blood, Davis brought Xerna Zenflameʼs drop of blood and had them resonate.

It was the most basic of the basic form of blood energy manipulation that most cultivators knew how to do.

But, of course, they resonated, showing that they were related. Considering that they all had Fire Phoenix Bloodline, Davis didnʼt doubt it. However, he used his hand signs to use another technique he learned while browsing the Aurora Cloud Gate manuals.

Suddenly, the drops of blood that were resonating stopped shuddering as they turned still.

But in the next second, one of the five drops of blood reacted to Xerna Zenflameʼs blood, causing Davisʼs sapphire eyes to flicker as Yama appeared in his hand.

”I see. So youʼre connected to the Zenflame lineage, and youʼre within nine generations.”

He twisted his scythe, allowing the curved blade to be in an optimal position to sever Thaddean Auraflameʼs head with a single swing.

”Wait…!”
