Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3059 The Purpose Of The Expedition

”-imagine that thereʼs a Greater Realm in the control of humans and another Greater Realm in the control of magical beasts in the first layer. Below them are numerous Upper Realms in the second layer, but a portion of these Upper Realms are space-locked under the Greater Realm we humans possess and another portion under the Greater Realm controlled by the magical beasts.”

Davis started to explain with an amused tone, ”Now, imagine that you want to go to an Upper Realm situated underneath the Greater Realm of the magical beastsʼ control from the Upper Realm situated underneath the Greater Realm of the humanʼs control.”

”What you need to do is find a spatial node that first leads to the human raceʼs Greater Realm in the first layer and, from there, traverse to the Greater Realm of the magical beasts, and only then can you reach your destination. You cannot traverse from Upper Realm to Upper Realm if that Upper Realm is not under the same Greater Realm. Thatʼs why these Greater Realms are also called Galaxies containing celestial islands in the second layer and third layer. I donʼt know where the Minor Realms are there, though.”

Davis shrugged as he scratched his head, not knowing how he could explain it better as he couldnʼt be sure that his understanding was perfect as well.

”I see…”

Bylai uttered with a confused expression. Many could see that she couldnʼt still imagine it, but they were also the same.nov𝑬𝑙𝑈𝗌𝑏/𝕔\o\𝔪

They couldnʼt comprehend its vastness just from hearing it.

”How many of these Galaxies are there?” Sophie couldnʼt help but ask.

”Hhm…” Davis wondered before opening his mouth again, ”Iʼm not sure, as the memories are fragmented, but I know that there are at least eight Greater Realms present.”

”Thereʼs only eight.” Myria corrected him, ”The human race has only managed to conquer one. The rest are in control of other races, and it isnʼt like the First Haven World. Thereʼs no peace, only war and the occasional deafening silence for millions or billions of years before besieged by a massive war again.”

”…”

Myriaʼs words made Lea and the others shudder ever so lightly. The others who didnʼt know that she was from the true immortal world also started to doubt her true identity, wondering if she had been an outsider all along.

But just from her foreboding tone, they could feel that the true immortal world was completely… untamed.

”...”

Davis resumed soulscouring the Crimson Pathflame Lower Realmʼs disciple, Navin.

But after a few more tries, he threw him away and moved on to the next, their supposed leader Eiren.

”Noooo! Wait! I can-”

Eiren had just woken up, realizing what situation he was in before he was forcefully plundered of his memories, causing his psyche to be affected. His lips twitched as she foamed blood, but it could be seen that he didnʼt lose his mind as he directed his hatred against Davis with eyes full of fury.

*Pow~*

However, a slap caused his teeth to fly as his head shook like a head-shaking doll before his body collapsed, slumping to the ground. He turned unconscious again.

”Heavens…”

Davis finally understood why the disciples from the Crimson Pathflame Lower Realm were here, including the formation expert who attacked them near the entrance to this realm.

”Myria, didnʼt you say this Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm was nearing its end?”

”Yes…” Myria narrowed her brows before his pupils dilated, ”Donʼt tell me…”I think you should take a look at

Her gaze flickered, becoming shocked at his hint.

The lifespan of a Minor Realm was only around a hundred million years, comparable to the lifespan of a powerful Immortal King. When it reached the end of its life, it would naturally melt, releasing a wave of berserk heaven and earth energy that was almost impossible to withstand even for a powerful Immortal King.

”Itʼs even more ridiculous than what youʼre thinking.”

However, Davis sighed, causing Myriaʼs expression to turn solemn.

”What could be more ridiculous for us than a realm reaching the end of its lifespan, only a thin line away from exploding?”

”…!?”

The others almost jumped in shock.

What was going on? They had just come here, but this realm was going to explode?

They turned to look around, noticing that it was calm and breezy as ever, not much different than a normal world.

”Apparently, thereʼs still a decade or so for the core to melt and cause the realm to be encased in apocalyptic flames before it explodes into one big destructive energy, but regardless- those two Upper Realms, the Astral Pill Upper Realm and Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm, they have nearly abandoned this Minor Realm over seven hundred years ago, and ever since then, it has become a natural habitat for these Feral Beasts and countless resources which would be harvested and engage in an alchemy exchange every ten thousand years by their disciples in the form of proving themselves, essentially making this a proving ground to their knowledge and prowess. However-”

Davis made a pause as he took a deep breath, his breath heavy, ”Someone appeared to have finally cracked the core...”

”What? Did an evil Empyrean descend on this Minor Realm? Even an Immortal Emperor wouldnʼt be able to break the core of a Minor Realm, and itʼs definitely not easy for an Empyrean to appear in the third layer where itʼs said that the Astra Forgeheart Minor Realm is possibly located.”

Myria uttered with disbelief in her tone.

Indeed, she knew that it was easy for people to go up through the layers but extremely difficult to descend through them. Therefore, an Empyrean appearing in a Lower Realm was nothing short of a miracle but also a disaster.

But even then, they wouldnʼt take such an overbearing action unless they were evil.

However, Davis shook his head.

”I meant that these two Upper Realms have managed to crack the core not by using strength but by using forging and alchemy, allowing the melting core to be made into a pill.”

”What!?” Myria flinched.

”Apparently, this heaven-shaking pill could only be concocted during the end of a realm where the body of the core, the land that is basked in apocalyptic flames, is used as the cauldron, whereas the core is the ingredient along with a few other treasures. To concoct this pill, the alchemists and forgemasters of various powers have been invited to take part in trying their luck.”

”…”

Myria looked at Davis with disbelief etched in her eyes.

Who could have possibly found such a method? No, were Immortal Kings even capable of achieving that feat?

She refused to believe that this concoction was real as it meant a person was finally able to even quell the highest form of Destruction Laws ever known to the world through alchemy!
