Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2790 Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Supremacy

*Bang!~*

Yilyang Darkflame struck the ray of cyan light, causing his energy sword to burst apart from within as it seemed unable to withstand Xeraxʼs soul might.

”Ughhh.”

He flipped two times in the air before he regained his balance, but at that time, his gaze shook as he saw the Cyan Soul Ratʼs claw headed for his way.

”Void Flame Barrier!”

*Bang!~*

A violet barrier that sealed off space had just formed when it was slashed by the claws covered with soul force, causing it to open all over, but suddenly, a cyan tail swung incredibly fast, easily cleaving the broken barrier and striking his body fiercely, sending him flying again.

The sound of bones breaking could clearly be heard as Yilyang Darkflame was sent flying to the side, causing him to crash into the battle stageʼs barrier. However, he still looked fine as he seemed to have blocked it with his arms.

Despite the momentum and the power of the Xeraxʼs soul attacks, everyone couldnʼt help but feel Yilyang Darkflame was on a distinct level himself, as he seemed to have withstood the attack with some ease.

However, Yilyang Darkflame suddenly froze over at this moment because cyan light surrounded him, making him feel like his soul was going to be crushed in an instant!

”Will you surrender or die?”

pαпdα-ňᴏνê|·сóМ Xerax coldly asked, his giant rat face possessing an unnerving smirk while flicking his tail and dispersing the void flames that stuck to his tail, trying to burn it. Combined with the cyan ray that shot and churned like an electrifying web, emerging out of the crystal to webify Yilyang Darkflame, it made the people feel some chill as sweat appeared on their foreheads.

”I…”

Yilyang Darkflame couldnʼt believe he was caught so easily, his expression turning unsightly, unforgiving, and reluctant before finally revealing his shame, unable to admit defeat.

*Boom!~*

The cyan web exploded inwardly, causing Yilyang Darkflame to fall, unmoving.

”Yilyang!”

The Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribe Patriarchʼs furious voice resounded within the inner hall, causing the immortals to be shaken, some even rolling over as they held their heads.

The barrier came undone as the Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribeʼs Patriarch rushed towards Yilyang Darkflame, quickly catching him before he could fall to the ground. His furious expression receded once he saw that Yilyang Darkflame had only fainted and didnʼt die, causing him to turn to look towards Xerax, but he saw the Cyan Soul Rat Patriarch was already before him, looking ready to protect Xerax.

”Hmph!”

The Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribeʼs Patriarch didnʼt say anything and left carrying Yilyang Darkflame, leaving Xerax still standing with a sly grin on his face.

”Woahhhh!!!”

This battle left the guests scrambling into jumping as they excitedly roared at the battle stage.

A Young Master of a major power was actually defeated within three moves! This was something that they couldnʼt digest, but they also craved to see these kinds of scenes as it was precisely the reason they were here.

”Incredible. Both of their prowess was five levels above, but Young Lord Xerax was able to easily defeat him.”

”Easily? I would not say so because that move was a species technique. I imagine that Young Lord Xerax used a significant amount of energy.”

”Hehe, youʼre wrong because that species technique is called Cyan Soul Stasis, which causes everything to slow down, so much so that the soul doesnʼt process any more information that it faints. Sometimes, it even causes the soul to enter into a coma.”

”Still, for a King-Tier Immortal Beast, its base prowess would only be three levels higher, but for Young Lord Xerax to be so powerful that his prowess reached five levels higher speaks volumes of his true potential!”

The crowd was in an uproar over this battle, eagerly discussing the battle and breaking down each and every move like they were intellectuals.

Xerax received the peopleʼs admiration at this moment, including unreserved praises from his own Cyan Soul Rat Clan. But at this moment, he didnʼt look at his rival in his clan but turned to look towards the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, his gaze falling on a white-robed individual who truly piqued his interest, causing him to grin.

”Are you next, Mo Tian?”

Davis couldnʼt help but curl his lips as Xerax didnʼt seem to recognize him as the Emperor of Death. However, considering that they had never met to learn each otherʼs aura, he wasnʼt surprised that Xerax didnʼt recognize him.

But to answer his question, Davis raised his hand high above and displayed a middle finger to Xerax, causing the latterʼs eyes to flicker.

”A hooligan indeed. Increasingly arrogant towards battles that you can win yet cowardly when it comes to battles you cannot win. Heh~”

Xerax scoffed and continued as he panned his gaze around, ”Who else dares to battle me? Iʼll let you know that I wonʼt hold back as I did now, nor allow you to make a move. If anything, you better surrender from where you are seated, saving me time.”

*Hsss~*

Somebody from the inner hall hissed at the sheer arrogance of the King-Tier Cyan Soul Rat that they couldnʼt help but feel that compared to him, the Starlight Jade Wolf King was way more polite.

Instantly, the provincial powersʼ disciples stood up and started giving up one by one, causing countless people to gawk.

Quickly, Xerax obtained three wins in total before someone from the Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe challenged Xerax.

However, the person they sent wasnʼt their Tribe Lord but the one who failed to become its Tribe Lord.

From this, it could quickly be seen that they wanted to stop Xerax from raking in wins, planning to stop him through exhaustion.

Davis also saw through this maneuver, but he was stumped to see the challenger be sent into fainting again in a few seconds.

Fast forward to the next battle, Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clanʼs disciple held a bit longer due to his impregnable defense, but even that didnʼt last under the onslaught of Xeraxʼs soul powers.

Next, the Bloodcloud Family fell, followed by the Goldlust Rat Clan. They didnʼt win but successfully wasted Xeraxʼs soul force as they adopted a defensive stance from the get-go, leaving Xerax gasping for breath already, but no one knew if he was acting or not, leaving them confused yet excited at the same time.

There was a layer of silence in between when one provincial power used this chance to surrender to Xerax and increase the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs wins by one, increasing it to six wins in total!

The Cyan Soul Rat Clan was already in a critical junction where it was almost a given that they would earn the first place and ultimately cement themselves in the second if left alone or third if stretched.

They appeared to be already the winners of this segment, causing many powers to heave a sigh, unwilling to use their single chance to return in defeat.

Many couldnʼt help but look at Mo Tian, wondering if he would make a move.

However, Davis made no move, still intending to sit this one out.

”I admit defeat.”

Another provincial power admitted defeat, causing the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs wins to increase to seven!

But from then on, no provincial powers seemed to want to admit defeat.

ʼSeems like Zyrus Family is keeping its fair share...ʼ

Davis guessed that the Zyrus Family kept its bought-out provincial powers as a reserve in order to bring themselves to second place, but this would make it so from now on, the only powers left to challenge the Cyan Soul Rat Clan was the Blazing Thunder Sect, Golden Crow Clan, Lumin Family, and the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan.

Just as he thought the Golden Crow Clan would send its disciples, they didnʼt.

Actually, no one did, causing him to be taken aback. However, guessing that they were facing one of the most prominent individuals present here, he understood that they didnʼt want to needlessly offend or risk their own chance to battle and win after Xerax left after a few battles.

”Sigh. Mo Tian, itʼs time for you to fulfill our agreement and battle in Blazing Thunder Sectʼs stead.”

”…”

Davis sucked in a breath of cold air in exasperation as he turned to look at the Bloodcloud Familyʼs Patriarch, who smiled at him, his intentions unknown but still causing Davis to wonder if he hadnʼt learned his lesson, daring to send him to the battle stage.
