Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2772 Revealing Himself?

”...”

While the guests remained stunned, including the leaders and the youths present here, some youths were even caught standing up halfway as they thought they were going to be the first ones to represent the younger generations, now couldnʼt help but blankly stare at the white-robed man on the platform as though they were looking at a clown.

The white-robed man stretched his arms above, appearing to let out a huge yawn before burping and caressing his stomach, smiling behind his veiled hat.

”The Golden Dragon meat was extraordinary. I have no idea how you Zyrus Family people obtained it, but Iʼm grateful for the feast.”

Everyone could almost see him lick his lips, causing them to agree. Although obtaining dragon meat was an offense to the Dragon Clans, there were some exceptions. That was... one that was sold by the Dragon Alliance themselves, making them understand that this was a carcass of a Golden Dragon that sinned.

To be eaten was an extreme insult to any magical beasts, but it was even more the case for magical beasts like Dragons and Phoenixes, so the punishment they handed out for sinners of their clans was to be sold and eaten after being executed, not only violating the honor of the sinner but also obtaining some profit for their clans.

Nevertheless, the people present here still looked at the white-robed man with amusement in their eyes.

”Who are you? Which power do you belong to?”

The Zyrus Family Patriarchʼs tone was neutral, his expression still having a smile as he had his hands reached out with a bowl of wine in his grasp.

”Me?” The white-robed man pointed at himself before panning his gaze around, ”Seriously, no one recognizes me?”

Even Davis was dumbfounded at this moment. He was sure that his disguise wasnʼt that different from the last time.

ʼWait... they forgot how I look and sound because of karmic burden...?ʼ He wondered.

After all, unlike Dead End and Mo Tian, who the elders didnʼt personally see, his original identity Davis Alstreim has left a massive footprint over most places, making it easier for people to remember Davis Alstreim over Dead End or Mo Tian even though they were all misunderstood to be separate entities.

Davis was a bit intrigued but also terrified to guess that his disguises were also affected because of karmic burden.

He was just about to say something, only to hear the Zyrus Family Patriarch laugh lightly.

”Take off your hat, and we might recognize.”

”That wonʼt do.”

Davis shook his head, appearing stubborn and arrogant, ”Perhaps, someone can take it off of me, no? Iʼm here to prove my strength, after all.”

”Little brat, you still havenʼt answered what your background is! Get down here right now, and weʼll leave you alone.”

Davis blinked before he slightly panned his gaze to the black-robed elder who was beside Zyrus Family Patriarch.

”Elder Itaer, you still donʼt remember me? I heard that you were the one who hired the vile Dark Sky Triad to kidnap thousands of virtuous women so that they can be sacrificed to increase karmic sin of Klein Zy-”

”What!?” Elder Itaerʼs expression changed before he waved his sleeves, ”You are falsely accusing me! Guards, remove him.”

Instantly, a few Immortal King undulations reverberated across the hall, converging upon Davis in order to suppress him. But at the same time, an equivalent- no, a giant force pushed against them from within, causing Elder Itaerʼs expression to change again as he saw the Lumin Family Patriarch.

”Stop. Iʼm interested to hear what he has to say.”

The Lumin Family Patriarch slightly waved his hands. Immortal undulations at Level Nine Immortal King Stage swirled around him as he suppressed the aura of the Zyrus Family guards with ease and canceled them the next second.

The eyes of the leaders belonging to other powers also flickered with interest and amusement, wondering what kind of dirt this man had on the Zyrus Family as to be so bold in appearing here, right at the center of the storm.

”Young man, are you sure that youʼre not making trouble here?”

The Golden Crow Clan Patriarchʼs gaze flickered as his hawk-like eyes focused on Davis.

”As I said, come challenge me. Then everyone will know if Iʼm making trouble or not.”

Davis spread his hands, causing the Golden Crow Clanʼs Patriarch to burst into laughter.

”Ahahaha. Well said.”

He drank a bowl of wine as though to toast Davisʼs willfulness or foolery and turned to look at one of his familyʼs younger generation. He opened his mouth. However, his brows narrowed as he turned to look back at the platform to see that a Zyrus Family youth had already stepped on the platform.

”You falsely accused one of my familyʼs elders, so donʼt blame me if I donʼt hold back my punches.”

The well-built man stood tall and sturdy on the platform, his muscular yet fit frame filling out the black robe he wore. The manʼs broad shoulders were visible beneath the robe, as were his thick, powerful arms. His face was youthful but also vindictive, with big eyes and a square jaw that exuded confidence and strength. His hair was long and black, pulled back into a tight ponytail that fell down his back.

As he moved towards Davis, the hem of his robe swished and rustled against the ground, making a soft whispering sound that was barely audible over the sound of his footsteps. Despite his imposing size and strength, there remained a quiet dignity and grace to his movements that suggests a lifetime of training and discipline.

”Woah. Isnʼt that Gryar Zyrus, ranked third within the Zyrus Familyʼs younger generation?”

”Damn, this unknown idiot royally pissed off the Zyrus Family. If he doesnʼt have a suitable background, heʼs going to die by the end of the day.”

”Well, chances are that he might die now.”

Numerous murmurs spread, one that painted the white-robed man who stood a stark contrast to the black-robed man to be the loser even before the battle started.

*Bzzz!~*

”Let the battle begin~”

As some person echoed the start of the battle, Gryar Zyrusʼs body split into multiple versions of him as though they were afterimages, still walking towards Davis with an imposing momentum. His movements were such that it was unknown if he was side-stepping fast while still walking or just creating illusions using darkness art.

At the same time, Level Nine Immortal Stage undulations flared crazily, radiating a frightening aura that intended to weaken the opponentʼs will. Its prowess was such that they knew that it had far outclassed those who claim themselves to be geniuses by just having a prowess that was three levels higher.

The people had just seen him use this strange technique when suddenly he was already upon the white-robed man, his afterimages all gathering at the center towards him as he reached out his fist to strike the white-robed man.

”Dark Convergence Fist~”

The tens of fists by his side converged at the center along with the images of his bodies, heading straight towards the white-robed manʼs face with immense momentum.

*Boom!~*

Darkness energy covered the entirety of the white-robed man, submerging him in a world of abyss as the might shot forwards towards the back. The throttling bloodline power of the Zyrus Family completely overwhelmed his opponent at this moment. However, before it could reach the guests, it was abruptly stopped by a transparent barrier that activated, causing the attack to spread sideways and hide the sight of people remaining in that direction.

Countless peopleʼs expressions flickered as though they felt like getting punched in the face by themselves as they heard the sound of the fist echoing throughout the hall. They couldnʼt tell what had happened to the unknown white-robed man.

On the other hand, the Zyrus Family people sneered, thinking that it served the rude white-robed man right.

However, the leaders were all fairly silent at this moment, causing them to turn confused, only to turn into realization as the darkness receded above the platform, replaced with a scene that had their eyes widening and their bodies petrified as they saw the white-robed man stop the Darkness Converging Fist with a single finger.

”...”

Indeed, Davis had his index finger placed on Gryar Zyrusʼs fist, holding it back without tremor while Gryar Zyrusʼs fist shook crazily, unable to break through despite applying force continuously, even dark yin force that should easily break an iron defense.

However, his realization came too late, watching Davisʼs lips move behind his veil.

*Bang!~*

Davis flicked his middle finger, causing Gryar Zyrusʼs right arm to explode in its entirety as blood splashed all over the face, shocking him to his core!

”Not bad, but donʼt head straight in like a fool. Even a mosquito targets you from your blind spot so as to not get flicked away.”

Only Davisʼs voice could be heard while Gryar Zyrus took two steps back and incredulously looked at Davis with shocked eyes, still appearing unable to believe what had just happened.

”Who are you...!? You are an Immortal King whoʼs hiding his cultivation base!”

His voice shuddered as anger rose in his heart, feeling like he had been fooled from the start.
