Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2752 Confession

Tanya looked at this scene with a bit of liveliness emerging in her eyes.

Was the culprit finally caught?

”Senior Hailac… is this why you kept asking me about big brotherʼs powers?”

Tia appeared to be in disbelief as her voice was low and disheartened. Mystic Diviner Hailac still appeared to react like she was pained, causing Tia to become saddened as she turned to look at Davis.

”Fortunately, I didnʼt reveal anything...” She sighed, causing Davis to return his gaze to Mystic Diviner Hailac.

”What do you have to say about this?”

”No… I…”

Mystic Diviner Hailac seemed to be at a loss for words, appearing as though she did not know how to explain herself. Besides, Davisʼs grasp was also hurting her as he was too strong for her physically, causing her expression to twitch.

”Hailac, I tried to trust you by bringing you here...”

Davis possessed a disappointed expression on his face, causing her expression to sink even more behind her veil, which was robbed from her at this moment by Clara, revealing her hurt expression even more.

”Why did you ask about my powers? To reveal them to others as well?”

”No…!” Mystic Diviner Hailac finally became teary-eyed, ”Iʼm interested in you! Isnʼt that enough!?”

Davis raised his brows, ”For what?”

”You couldnʼt tell…? The reason I am here despite all the flak Iʼm getting from my peers while also endangering my life?”

She looked at him with an incredulous gaze, unable to believe that he couldnʼt see through this nonsense she was spewing when she joined him.

”So you love big brother?” Tia asked, her gaze hopeful.

”I think I do…. damn it…! This is so hurting than I thought it would be...”

Tears began falling down Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs face, making her appear quite pitiful. Tia couldnʼt help but release a smile while the others blinked, not knowing what to think other than it was inevitable.

However, Davis seemed entirely disinterested, his expression still cold and inquisitive.

”So you are telling me that you didnʼt intentionally spread Myriaʼs status as a Divergent nor revealed Bing Luliʼs life and death to others?”

”No… I didnʼt...” Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs voice was soft and imploring, as though she wanted others to believe her.

”Brother, sheʼs telling the truth.”

”Isnʼt that what I was saying all this time? Please forgive me if I was the reason for this whole mess. I didnʼt intend for this to happen...”

Clara opened her mouth, causing Mystic Diviner Hailac to cry out as she shook her head. Her bosoms heaved heavily, but she slowed down her gasp, trying to become calm as she looked imploring at Davis.

Davis opened his mouth, but words wouldnʼt come out of his throat for some reason. The next moment, he turned to look at Clara.

”Clara, ask her if her previous statement was true.”

Clara nodded, still gazing at Mystic Diviner Hailac with her eyes that shone purple like the galaxy.

”You said that you didnʼt divulge brotherʼs life and death to others even after being asked. Is that true?”

”No. I didnʼt.”

Mystic Diviner Hailac enunciated, causing Clara to stare at her expression a bit more before she turned to look at Davis.

”Brother, sheʼs not lying. Perhaps, she really just shared her thoughts with others, which led to someone knowing that Bing Luli was alive and allowed them to understand that Myria is a Divergent.”

”But how? Donʼt tell me that they exaggerated some rumor into reality...”

”…”

Clara didnʼt know how to answer Davisʼs question, appearing to be silent as she blinked, which made her look adorable.

”Myria, did someone spy on you or the others in your estate?”

Davis cast a glance back, causing Myria to approach him.

”Itʼs impossible to spy on me with her cultivation base. If Immortal Kings or even Immortal Emperors divine me, Iʼll know it, and my people would be aware of that as well as I taught them how to detect such divinations. It would be like someone peeking in your soul sea, very easy to detect once you notice the tingling in your soul essence, which many would fail to notice unless they deeply understand the aspects of the soul.”

Myria appeared before them as she gave an explanation, causing many expressions to twitch as they felt that it was easier for her to say that since she was well-versed in the soul.

However, she turned to look at Threelotus, ”You need to work more on learning the abstract movements of your soul essence instead of engaging in needless banter and spreading rumors.”

”Yes!~”

Threelotus stood in attention, appearing to be like a student in front of Myria.

Davis could see that both Yotan and Threelotus had received personal lessons from Myria and Ellia on Light Laws, but it seemed that Threelotus was slightly lacking in comprehending the intricacies of the soul, which might explain why she was always behind Yotan despite being equally talented when they were Soul Kings.

Nonetheless, he saw Myria walking around him, or rather, circling him and Mystic Diviner Hailac, watching the latter with inquisitive eyes.

”So youʼre saying that you wouldnʼt do such a thing like that because you want to be loyal? Because you love me…?”

Davis finally asked, causing Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs eyelids to tremble.

”Yes~”

She sniffled a bit, appearing to calm down.

Davis nodded before he loosened the grasp on her wrists and let her go, causing her to heave a sigh of relief. One could see that her wrists were completely red with his hand prints etched onto her. That was how tight Davis held her, causing a few others to pity her, although it was somewhat established that she was probably the cause of this mess, which made them not know what to think as she made them experience distress from Davis.

”…!”

However, their eyes suddenly went wide as they saw Davis grab Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs waist and pull her to him closer, causing there not to be even an inch of space remaining between their waists.

”In that case, prove your love by sleeping with me in bed right now. Shall we leave?”

”…”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs eyes were wide as she looked at him with a face full of disbelief, her trembling hands resting on his chest. The sudden pull and the abs she could feel through her palms left her dumbfounded, but she instinctively shook her head in a panic, seemingly unwilling.

”Why? Whatʼs wrong? Donʼt you want to prove that youʼre not at fault here? I donʼt let any offenders go without taking responsibility for their actions. Soon, Tanya will be taking responsibility for her actions as well, so what do you say?”

Davisʼs voice became heavier as though he was serious, ”Iʼm giving you a chance to prove yourself.”

Mystic Diviner Hailac kept shaking her head slightly, but then she suddenly pursed her lips and gulped, looking at him silently as she seemed tempted, her cheeks becoming rosy and her teary eyes fluttering like a butterflyʼs.

”If… thatʼs… what you want… then… I will oblige…”

She lowered her head, slightly taking a breath as she seemed to feel herself growing hot.

”Thatʼs responsible of you, alright.”

Davis smiled, finding the silver-haired woman in his embrace extremely beautiful and feminine, causing him to raise one of his hands to lift her chin up to make her look at him while leaning to take her rosy lips.

”…!”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs heart shook as her eyelids quivered. However, parting her lips, she closed her eyes, waiting for him to take her. She could feel his presence right in front of her nose, his two hands making their way to her cheeks as his thumbs pressed on her forehead.

”However, I think Iʼd kill myself if I actually kissed you, Fraser Herrion.”

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs eyes shot wide open, her eyelids trembling as she sensed Davis look at her with a furious yet smiling look on his face. However, she also felt a hand hold her head from behind, causing her to understand that it was Myria, but the next moment, everything she could sense faded into nothingness as her lips curled.

”How... did you… knowww?”

Mystic Diviner Hailac smiled crazily, but her voice was grating as though it resounded from the underworld.

*Boom!~*

Mystic Diviner Hailacʼs undulations exploded, but ʼsheʼ was shocked to discover that ʼherʼ escape path was sealed as Davis and Myria still held ʼherʼ head from both sides without being sent flying back!
