The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 416: Confrontation

”What do you mean? I called the strongest one.”

”Yes, I don’t know why they chose me, but I’m not the strongest. In fact, there are many others who-”

”Ahem!, student William, it’s time to start the fight.”

At that moment, the instructor, a little embarrassed, stopped William. Yes, objectively speaking, he’s not even the second strongest, since there’s Elena, Alice, the twins, and that’s not just a guess.

In fact, during our club practices or some classes they share, he almost never wins, which is perhaps why he is so reluctant to be a faction leader, seeing that he doesn’t even make the top five.

”Wait! This isn’t right. If you’re not the strongest, who is?”

”Um, I think you’re referring to Chris. He’s the guy over there.”

’Good one, William. When we go with the one-sans, I’ll make sure you get three busty ones all to yourself.’

I had always believed in William, and he didn’t disappoint me. He gave me excellent support and pointed me out without hesitation.

The moment he pointed me out, I stepped forward.

Everything got back on track.

”Ahem, yes, nice to meet you, my name is Christian Lionheart and I am, without a doubt, the strongest in the academy.”

That title never interested me, but if it’s for a new member of the harem, I don’t mind rubbing it in over and over again.

Screw that instructor who looks at me like he wants me to act with restraint.

”Well... you’re not the wrong one, right?”

”Yes, it’s definitely me. Do you want to test my strength?”

”Hmm, I don’t feel like you’re that strong, but at the same time I feel like you are. But if you were stronger than that guy, then you must be so strong that I don’t understand you.”

’Oh, I see she has good instincts, hehehue, everything is going perfectly.’

”You’re absolutely right, so now what?”

”Good! I’ve made up my mind. You’re also decent in other ways, so now you’re my fiancé and future husband.”

”All right, now you’re part of my harem.”

Well, mission accomplished, quick and easy, without any complications. I didn’t even have to fight her like I originally thought.

She seems like a muscle-brained person who only follows strength, but she’s surprisingly rational enough to understand that if Alexander or Seraphina are stronger than her, so am I.

I thought that would be all, but...

”What? What’s that about a harem?”

”Huh? You don’t know what it is? It’s when someone has—”

”I know what it is, but my husband should only have me.”

”...”

Suddenly, the course changed, and it wasn’t going as I thought it would. As I was thinking about what to do, I saw how Kiona seemed to get angry at my words.

”Who are they? Tell me! I’ll teach them their place so they’ll cease their useless intentions toward what is mine...”

”...”

It wasn’t directed at me, but rather seemed to be someone angry at discovering that her husband had a mistress and was going after the mistress to defend what was hers.

”Is it you?”

She was literally on fire and angry, and she pointed to where I had been standing before, specifically pointing at Silvia.

Silvia, who suddenly became the center of attention, shook her head vigorously. Kiona didn’t doubt her and moved on to the next person.

It seemed like she was targeting those who had been near me before, but when she saw the next possibilities—

”...no, it can’t be you, you’re too young, and so is the other one. What are you doing here? ... Let’s see, it must be you, the girl with black hair.”

”💢”

The next was Eira, but Kiona dismissed her along with Selene, with a comment that I saw also angered Eira, and then went to Aurora, who was also near where I had been standing before.

Technically, she wasn’t wrong in choosing Aurora, but she had just stepped on a landmine.

That mine didn’t seem to want to let the matter go, and she stepped forward and stood next to me with a darkened face and spoke to me.

”Hey, idiot.”

”Y-yes.”

”This isn’t what you said would happen.”

”I... I didn’t expect it either. Who would have thought she’d be one of those weird people who only wants her husband all to herself? I didn’t think she’d be such a strange girl.”

”Idiot, that’s normal, damn it. I don’t know why I trusted you.”

”Hey, little girl, why are you coming in here? Can’t you see we adults are talking about serious matters? Are you the daughter of an instructor or something? How irresponsible of them to leave their daughter unsupervised?”

”💢💢”

”Eira, calm down, breathe. I don’t think she’s doing it on purpose. You know, I think because she’s so tall, she makes you look even smaller, and now you’re technically the daughter of—”

”Don’t say another word. I’ll take care of it from now on. Hey, you, giant! Weren’t you looking for this idiot’s girlfriends? Well, here you go. What did you say you would do to me?”

”Eira, calm down! I don’t think—”

”I am calm. I’m just going to show someone who seems to think that everything will be done her way and that the world revolves around her where she stands.”

Yes, this is getting out of hand. I really don’t understand why she had to go and piss off the person who was supporting her.

”What? What did you say? Are you my rival? Hahaha, what a joke, girl, I told you to leave, we’re talking adults here.”

”💢💢💢”

”Okay, I give up, I did what I could, she asked for it, just don’t kill her.”

”Aren’t you going to stop me?”

”Nah! If I have to take sides, it would obviously be yours. I already did what I could.”

Yes, I give up. I tried not to escalate this and find a way to add her to the harem without conflict, but she brought it on herself.

Obviously, it’s silly, similar to what Alexander did, proving that he is superior in strength to court someone.

Even if she won, it wouldn’t change anything. I wouldn’t trade her for Eira, let alone the rest. It’s nonsense without meaning or consideration.

I thought starting a relationship with Kiona would be easy, given how simple and straightforward her requirements were, but apparently it wasn’t that simple.

There was a hidden requirement that I obviously didn’t meet.

”Hmph, you better! Besides, I don’t like intimidating the weak, I’ll just teach her a lesson.”

”Just don’t overdo it.”

In the alternate timeline, Kiona lost to William. Now William is much stronger, and let’s not even talk about Eira.

Honestly, Kiona is too weak. Even with her abilities, it’s very likely that Eira will make mincemeat of her.

I stepped back, along with William, who for some reason stood to the side watching. Maybe he didn’t find an opportunity to back away.

”You’re ready for this, right?”

Eira said, staring aggressively at Kiona and emitting an aura of combat. She, like all of us in the sixth metamorphosis, has an artifact that hides her rank and another that disguises it as the fifth metamorphosis.

Kiona, noticing this, opened her eyes and finally seemed to recognize Eira.

”So it’s true what you said before... if you really are a student, that means that—”

”Yes, I’m the girlfrien—”

”You’re just very short, hmm, obviously you’re not a dwarf, I just tend to have this kind of problem with them, hmmm, are those ears and tail real? Or are you some weird hybrid of a dwarf and a beast man? Is that even possible? Or are you just short? Hmm, now that I think about it, I don’t know any dwarves without curves... Yeah, I guess you’re just short.”

”🔥皿🔥💢”

’Uuui!, she said it, even I wouldn’t dare to go that far.’

It seemed that everything Kiona said was meant to provoke Eira, to the point that even Selene next to me seemed very alert and attentive.

Eira must have been so angry that it was affecting her, and it was also bad timing because the other member of the family didn’t like her daughter being spoken to like that either.

Although I’ll keep to myself the fact that I also had a little doubt about it myself, until I saw their statuses in this line and verified the truth.

Now even the referee seemed nervous. He is an instructor specializing in elemental fire and ice magic, so I never took a class from him until we reached the middle world and there was more than one instructor at a time.

But I think he knows Eira very well. He seemed to be sending her signals to calm down, which didn’t seem to work.

The instructor now seems concerned about Eira’s opponent. It seems ridiculous given the difference in size, but that’s how this world was.

Now, giants are not easy to deal with, leaving aside individual growth talents; as a race, they are beings with natural talent.

Even without doing anything during their growth, they go through at least two metamorphoses until they reach adulthood. Their strength grew naturally, breaking the barriers of existence.

They are not the only ones; demons are the same with mana, elves also increase their vitality just by existing and have long lives, and dwarves became tougher and more robust, increasing their defense.

In retrospect, humans as a species were not innately good at anything. Even beast people surpassed them, even though they did not have that passive growth advantage. Many breeds of beast people often have innate advantages that eclipse mere humans.

However, those advantages only work in the early stages. After the fifth metamorphosis, humans begin to equal and even surpass other species.

But that doesn’t take away from the fact that other races naturally have an initial advantage. which meant that many of the giants on the opposing side were in their fifth metamorphosis, including Kiona.

And it was the same in my memories, yet William had beaten her, and that’s why she became even more interested in him, since in the alternate timeline he was able to win even with the difference in ranks.

Kiona had some interesting abilities that allowed her to fight above her rank with ease, but Eira had an even more powerful ability, and thanks to me, their stats were leveled and close to the seventh metamorphosis.

’This isn’t going to end well.’

That’s what I thought the moment I saw Kiona confidently step forward and attack Eira without using any skills, just her brute strength, which even had a bit of restraint to it.

My bad feeling only grew when I saw Eira, who, despite giving off a cold aura, seemed to be on fire, clench her fist, surround her hand with frost, and do the same thing as Kiona.

I realized that the battle would not last long.

Blank!

”Aaaacccccck”

”...”

”Eira, didn’t you say you would only teach her a little lesson?”

I said it from a little distance away, but she also had good hearing and heard me.

”I only used a little of my strength... I didn’t think she was so weak.”

Yes, the result was that after the impact, Kiona was thrown backwards, her arm seemed mostly shattered, and many parts were frozen.
