The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 415: Kiona

*****

”Okay, this time I won’t let the opportunity pass me by. Today there will be a new member in the harem.”

Well, the lessons, guides, and so on were over, and now a practice match was about to begin. It was our academy against the giants, where my target was.

This time I won’t fail.

”...I’m really curious where you get your confidence from.”

Once again, we were in a relatively large open space, which would be the combat arena.

Eira, beside me, heard me and criticized me.

’So after all, she’s committed to this too.’

”I get it from my masculinity. I’m sure that as soon as she sees me, she’ll want to join my harem. I’m the embodiment of masculinity, so she’s sure to fall for my charms.”

”Tsk! You’re just talking nonsense. If you’re going to do something, take it seriously and do it right.”

Yes, that was Eira, asking me to take the integration of the new member seriously, a peculiar situation in which she wanted me to do a good job of adding the girl to my harem.

Yes, Eira of all people was the most committed to this situation.

The reason is that after the previous meeting that ended abruptly, I found a moment and talked to the girls about this prospect for my harem.

Cuando llegué a la parte en la que hablaba de las habilidades que yo sabia que ella poseía, Eira, who was relatively the most reticent and had barely accepted with a bunch of tsundere excuses, became the most enthusiastic about the addition of this semi-giant named Kiona.

So when it was announced that the friendly exchanges would begin, she came over to me to make sure I did the right thing.

I really want to tease her, because her intention is obvious, but if I tease her too much, she might get stubborn and I’d be shooting myself in the foot.

So I didn’t say anything about it, but I need to reassure her and assure her that I will do what I said.

”Come on, Eira, you don’t need to stress. She’ll be easier than dealing with your moth—agh!”

”Bastard! What were you going to say?”

”Ugh!... Wait, my fault, bad choice of words, calm down.”

Yeah, that was my fault. I just meant that, relatively speaking, it would be easier than with Lily.

I mean, in her case, she was so cooperative that everything went smoothly, but thinking about it, she wasn’t the easiest. I mean, after that, she wanted to distance herself, and it took me a while to finally add her to my harem.

If I had to say, then Astrid comes to mind, but thinking about it, it wouldn’t be her either, since our relationship really started after a while.

So, taking that into account, the one with whom things happened in the shortest period of time, and although I had to play a little with words and her ignorance, the easiest would be—

”Oh yeah, she’ll be easier than you sis—ugh!”

”You’re looking for a fight, asshole, aren’t you?”

I got another punch in the stomach. Yeah, that wasn’t the point. Yeah, I totally asked for that. The word ”easy” definitely shouldn’t be used, there’s no way it sounds good.

The reason I think it will be easy to add Kiona is because she is, to put it bluntly, a little simple.

She already comes with the premise of finding a partner, but that person has to be stronger than her.

Yes, it’s very classic, but it’s not such a strange thought in this world where everyone seeks strength, but she’s the first to have it as her main requirement.

Sure, there are many people stronger than her, but she’s not stupid. She looks within her generation, and in her kingdom she’s the strongest, so she has no choice but to look elsewhere.

In the alternate timeline, that someone was obviously William; in an encounter similar to the one a few days ago, they fought, with William emerging victorious.

Since then, she joined William’s group, but she didn’t beat around the bush. She was so direct that she made it clear to him that he was her man and that they were already engaged, but tough William saw it as if she were joking or something.

And, honestly, in this case I can understand it. When a girl says something ridiculous like that to you in such a direct, arbitrary, forceful way, and with total confidence, it doesn’t seem like something really serious, but rather a joke or something like that.

And although she was direct, Kiona wasn’t the best at showing her true feelings or emotions, which she later developed for William, beyond just his strength.

For my alternate self, she was the most interesting to watch. It was fun to see how the most direct and confident person would cower in the really important moments.

But because of the way she was, my alternate self also suffered; since he had William’s interest, she challenged him to duels to prove something, and that bitch was stronger than my alternate self for a long time, so he got beaten up a lot, which didn’t really change anything.

But beyond that, she wasn’t a bad prospect, and besides, it’s easy to add her to the harem because, without a doubt, among the men of our generation, I am now the strongest, so it’s just a matter of defeating her, starting a relationship, finding a good place, and... heuheuheuheu.

”Hey, idiot! What are you doing, getting lost in your thoughts? Your damn plan already went wrong, look, she didn’t choose you like you said.”

”Huh? What the hell? What happened?”

I was already savoring success when Eira called me and I looked at what she was referring to; yes, it seemed that Kiona took the initiative to start these confrontations.

The problem was that right now it was William who was heading towards her for a fight; that wasn’t how it was supposed to happen, she was supposed to call the strongest one, meaning me.

She came out and said, ”All right, bring out your best fighter,” but then the instructor, who is the referee, called William.

”Huh? What the hell? What kind of bias is this?”

”Yeah, that was really blatant, considering that earlier, even tied up, you beat them.”

”Oh, you were watching that.”

”Of course, you idiots drew a lot of attention, though it was fun watching you squirm like the worm you are.”

”Hey!”

”Anyway, your supposedly foolproof plan went wrong from the start. What are you thinking?”

”Hmm, obviously William is stronger than her, so when he wins, I’ll come out and hit him, and then it will be clear, right?”

”Seriously, you just have to prove that you’re the strongest? Isn’t that silly?”

”Says the one who started to like me after a few spankings.”

”Son of a bit-, you want a fight, don’t you!? I already told you that’s definitely not how it was.”

”Lily is an omniscient being who is never wrong.”

”Damn that old witch, why did she have to say such nonsense? Really, the next time I see her—”

”What are you talking about? Look, she’s there, next to Astrid, looking over here. Look at her face. She probably noticed you called her an old witch. She’s omniscient.”

”Grrr, she just has good hearing, damn it, now what?”

”Well, like I said, I guess I’ll have to beat up William after he defeats Kiona.”

”Hey, stop that, there’s no need for you to do anything like that.”

At that moment, Silvia, who was on my other side and had been silent until now, spoke up. I guess she didn’t like hearing that I was going to beat up her beloved William.

I didn’t really want to do it either, but the situation forced me to. It’s a terrible shame.

”Hahahaha! So you’re the strongest in that academy, huh?.... Well, you’re also pretty handsome and you smell good. Starting today, you’ll be my fiancé, my future husband.”

”Huh!?

”What’s going on?”

”I-I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”

”No?”

”No, I really don’t... I’d appreciate it if you could explain yourself. I’m a little confused.”

”Okay, I’ll tell you. My future husband can only be the strongest, and in the battles a few days ago, I realized that the brown-haired boy and the white-haired girl are much stronger than me. No matter how I think about it, I don’t think I can stop either of their attacks, so I want you to be my husband.”

”...”

I listened to their conversation while waiting for the right moment to enter. I found what she said a little curious. Kiona may be a little simple, but she wasn’t stupid.

I already understood the point she was trying to make, although William still looked like he didn’t understand. He didn’t understand what that fight had to do with him, and he understood even less why he had to be her fiancé.

Kiona realized that William, even with her clear explanation, didn’t understand, so she continued explaining:

”They were stronger than me, so obviously you, who are stronger than them, are the right one to be my husband.”

”Ah...”

William finally seemed to understand Kiona’s point. Now he had a fiancée without lifting a finger.

’Well, I guess it’s time to act.’

”Ugh, wait, what are you doing, Silvia? Let me go there.”

”I said take it easy, wait a minute, hey!, calm down, seriously, it’s just a moment.”

Yes, it seems that it’s not even necessary to fight, so why wait? I could simply go there and make it clear that I’m stronger than him, finishing him off decisively right there.

That was my plan, but Silvia, whether she read my intentions or not, tied me up again.

This bastard is taking advantage of the fact that I’m just a doppelganger; if I were the real one, the suppression ability of this spell wouldn’t affect me and I would destroy him, and just as I was planning to move and give Silvia a good headbutt, I heard what William said.

”But, you know... I think there was a mistake on the instructor’s part... I’m not the strongest.”

I looked at William, who said this a little nervously and uncomfortably, and stopped myself from trying to headbutt Silvia.

”See? Calm down, look, William is honest, from the beginning he seemed to want to clarify this point.”

”Oh.”

Silvia let go of me. Yes, William is honest, so he probably thought it was a mistake on the part of the instructor who named him.

He didn’t understand that the instructor was trying to tacitly elevate his status. When I looked at the instructor, I saw him holding his forehead and sighing.

Yes, it’s his fault for believing that William would easily pick up on a hint.

Since everything seemed to be resolving itself naturally, I stayed and continued watching.
