Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 712: Leng Yan’s Obsession

Seeing Ye Fei compare her to that kind of woman, Leng Yan was even more furious, but for a moment, she couldnʼt find the words to refute him.

After all, she couldnʼt just blurt out, ”Iʼm still a virgin!” So, she sat there fuming, unable to continue the interrogation.

With Leng Yan silent, Ye Fei didnʼt say anything either. He sat quietly, secretly admiring the alluring policewomanʼs heaving chest as she seethed with anger.

The way her uniform strained against her figure was almost too much to handle—it was undeniably captivating!

Gradually, Ye Feiʼs anger subsided, and he began to feel a bit of remorse. After all, his words had been quite harsh for a woman who prided herself on her virtue.

Just as Ye Fei was considering whether to apologize to the policewoman, the door to the interrogation room suddenly opened from the outside.

A man in his fifties, dressed in a police uniform, walked in. He ignored Leng Yan and went straight to Ye Fei, saying, ”You must be Mr. Ye, right?”

”Thatʼs me,” Ye Fei nodded, then asked, ”And you are?”

The older officer didnʼt mind Ye Feiʼs lack of courtesy. Instead, he seemed almost nervous as he introduced himself, ”Iʼm Xie, the director of the city police bureau.” He paused, noticing that Ye Fei didnʼt respond, and continued, ”This time, weʼve wrongfully detained you, and I deeply apologize. Rest assured, we will deal seriously with the person who filed the false report!”

Listening to the directorʼs words, Leng Yan was stunned. In her impression, this uncle, who had a good relationship with her father, was a bit shrewd but still had principles when it came to major issues. So why was he saying such things today?

She couldnʼt help but interject, ”Director, this man just confessed to committing murder. How is this a false report?”

”Leng Yan, youʼre in the wrong here. Iʼve always said that we must enforce the law civilly and never resort to coercing confessions. How could you still make such a mistake?” Director Xieʼs tone grew increasingly stern, and he shot Leng Yan a disapproving look.

”I…” Leng Yan wanted to argue back loudly, but she held herself back. She could see that her uncle, who held significant power despite his modest rank, was afraid of Ye Fei. If she continued, she might bring trouble to her fatherʼs friend. So, although she was still deeply dissatisfied, she remained silent.

Seeing the usually stubborn Leng Yan finally quiet down, Director Xie breathed a sigh of relief. He turned back to Ye Fei and apologized again, ”Mr. Ye, Iʼm truly sorry. Iʼll have someone escort you back immediately.”

”Thank you for your kindness, Director, but that wonʼt be necessary. I can make my way back,” Ye Fei said with a faint smile. He then turned to Leng Yan and added, ”See the outcome? Many things in this world donʼt go the way you think they should. Honestly, I donʼt think youʼre cut out to be a police officer—your sense of justice is too strong.”

Leng Yan pursed her lips but said nothing. She simply watched as Ye Fei arrogantly walked out of the station. Once he was gone, she turned to Director Xie and asked, ”Uncle Xie, why did you let him go?”

Although Director Xie could spin tales with others, he felt a bit awkward with this niece he had watched grow up. He sighed and said, ”I didnʼt want to, but orders came from above. Weʼre not to interfere in this matter.”

”From above?” Leng Yan was taken aback. ”Which family is he connected to? He killed that scoundrel Yi Jifeng!”

”You might not believe it, but the call I just received was from Old Master Yi himself,” Director Xie said with a bitter smile. He was still trying to process what it all meant—was Old Master Yi planning personal revenge, or was he avoiding a confrontation with Ye Fei?

Sure enough, Leng Yan was stunned by Director Xieʼs words and took a while to recover. Director Xie continued, ”This is a game between the big shots, not something we can meddle in. In a way, itʼs a good thing, isnʼt it? Havenʼt you always wanted to deal with that playboy from the Yi family?”

After saying this, Director Xie left, but Leng Yan was still struggling to wrap her head around it. In her heart, Yi Jifeng deserved to die ten times over, but she had wanted him to face legal punishment, not to be killed by someone of the same status.

So, she couldnʼt help but resent Ye Feiʼs lawlessness. Plus, with a lingering sense of injustice, she made a decision that would impact her life: she called over the young officer who had slipped out earlier and instructed, ”Go investigate Ye Feiʼs background and bring me the information!”

At that moment, Ye Fei had no idea that Leng Yan had set her sights on him, nor did he know that this cold and alluring policewoman would become entangled with him for life. After leaving the police station, he hailed a taxi and returned to the Canghai Club.

He found Song Ci and the others in the underground second level, where Li Ruonan had also joined them after finishing her business with Old Man Kane.

After all the commotion, it was nearly evening, and the clubʼs hormone-inducing performances were about to begin. Ye Fei naturally didnʼt want his women to watch such things in a crowded place, though he wouldnʼt mind them sneaking a peek and then performing for him in private.

The second level was now filled with a new batch of patrons, none of whom knew about the murder that had taken place earlier that afternoon.

Everyone was having a great time, and when Ye Fei and his group left their private room, they didnʼt attract any trouble. After all, regulars at the club knew Li Ruonan and no one dared to mess with the princess of the Canghai Gang.

Just as the six of them were about to leave the level, Ye Fei suddenly felt a strange sensation. He turned and looked at three men who had just entered—more specifically, the man in his thirties in the middle.

The man was extremely handsome, with a touch of ruggedness from age, giving him a ”killer of young girls” vibe. But that wasnʼt what caught Ye Feiʼs attention. What intrigued him was that the man looked familiar, though he couldnʼt quite place where heʼd seen him before.

”You guys go ahead and wait for me outside. I have something to take care of,” Ye Fei said to the five women.

The manʼs presence left a deep impression on him, but he couldnʼt recall where heʼd seen him, and that feeling was unsettling. He wanted to figure it out.

Song Xuan and the others didnʼt ask any questions and left as instructed. Ye Fei, meanwhile, followed the three men back into the club.

The trio had been drinking elsewhere before coming here, as they stumbled and swayed their way to a relatively secluded spot in the hall. After ordering some drinks, they began chatting in low voices.

Ye Fei didnʼt approach them directly. Instead, he sat at a nearby table, listening to their conversation to try and piece together the manʼs identity.

”Brother Long, youʼve been teasing us all afternoon. Tell us about your past adventures!” one of the men slurred. The ”Brother Long” he referred to was the man Ye Fei found familiar.
