Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 155: A Heartfelt Proposal

As soon as the kitchen door swung open, the three girlsʼ attention was instantly grabbed. Drawn by the mouth-watering aroma, they—none of whom had ever really set foot in a kitchen—rushed in and scrambled to carry the delicious dishes out to the living room.

No sooner had they sat down than the girls eagerly dove into the food. Lin Ling took a bite of each dish, then frowned and asked, ”Mom, I remember your cooking wasnʼt this good before. Is it because weʼre hungrier today?”

”Of course not. I didnʼt make these dishes,” Xiao Hanyue replied with a smile, shaking her head. Her gaze drifted toward Ye Fei, and despite her best efforts to remain neutral, a hint of tenderness crept into her eyes.

Seeing the lingering blush on Xiao Hanyueʼs beautiful face, Ye Yunqi felt genuinely happy for her. She quickly sat next to Ye Fei and said, ”Wow, so these amazing dishes are your handiwork? And here I thought you never cooked!”

As she spoke, she playfully pinched the soft flesh on his waist.

Ye Fei winced from the pinch, thinking Ye Yunqi might be jealous. He quickly grabbed her hand, gave it a reassuring squeeze, and said, ”I just never had the chance to show off my skills. If Yunqi likes it, Iʼll cook for you every day!” Only he and Ye Yunqi understood the double meaning behind his words.

Ye Yunqi smiled, then leaned closer to whisper into Ye Feiʼs ear, ”Next time you cook, could you invite Auntie Xiao as well?” Her tone was so sultry and heartfelt that it sent a shiver down Ye Feiʼs spine.

Ye Fei was taken aback and whispered back, ”What did you say?”

Ye Yunqi rolled her eyes. ”Forget it if you donʼt want to.”

”I do! I do! I do!” Ye Fei nodded eagerly. The idea of the three of them together had been on his mind for a while.

For one thing, he was just too energetic now, and one person simply couldnʼt satisfy him. Plus, the thrill of being with three people at once was something he had only read about in novels and had always wanted to try. He was just puzzled by Ye Yunqiʼs sudden suggestion.

While Ye Fei and Xiao Hanyueʼs passionate encounter in the kitchen hadnʼt been heard by Lin Ling and Ye Jing—thanks to the kitchenʼs decent soundproofing—Ye Yunqi, with her deep internal energy, had heard every detail.

Ever since she had fallen for Ye Fei, she had wanted to make him as happy as possible. She had secretly read some novels and watched a few movies, knowing that men often enjoyed that kind of excitement.

When she heard the noises from the kitchen, she had been incredibly aroused and had wanted to join them.

Just hearing the sounds had been so thrilling; she could only imagine how much more exciting it would be with all three of them together. Thatʼs why she had voiced her idea.

Understanding Ye Yunqiʼs thoughts, Ye Fei was over the moon. He knew that day wouldnʼt be far off. Even if Xiao Hanyue wasnʼt ready yet, he could always team up with Ye Ningsuan.

She already knew about his relationship with Ye Yunqi, and since Ye Yunqi could accept Xiao Hanyue, she surely wouldnʼt mind her own aunt being involved.

The topic left both Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi a bit breathless with excitement. When they came back to their senses, they realized that the three girls had almost finished all the food and were now sitting back, patting their full bellies contentedly.

Ye Yunqi stopped teasing Ye Fei and quickly ate the remaining food, occasionally glancing at Xiao Hanyue with a mischievous look that left her puzzled.

After lunch, the group chatted for a while until it was almost dark. Ye Fei, Ye Yunqi, and Ye Jing had to head back. Xiao Hanyue and Lin Ling were both reluctant to see them go.

Lin Ling felt better knowing she would see Ye Fei again at school the next day, but Xiao Hanyue, who had little chance to spend time alone with Ye Fei, couldnʼt help but feel a bit down.

Taking advantage of a moment when no one was looking, Ye Fei held Xiao Hanyueʼs hand and whispered earnestly in her ear, ”Donʼt worry. Iʼll come to see you often, and soon, weʼll be able to be together all the time.”

”I know,” Xiao Hanyue replied with a sweet smile, gently pushing him. ”Go on, Yunqi and the others are waiting for you to leave.”

Ye Fei followed her gentle push out of the villaʼs front door. He knew she didnʼt fully believe him, but for now, that was all he could do. Surprising her later wouldnʼt be such a bad thing.

The car quickly arrived at the Ye family courtyard. Ye Fei led the two girls inside, only to find Xu Shuyun sitting alone in the living room, lost in thought. She looked somewhat lonely and hadnʼt even noticed the three of them enter.

Ye Feiʼs heart ached. With Ye Lingtianʼs recent passing, she must have been feeling incredibly lonely and helpless. He had taken Ye Jing out for two whole days, which must have been tough on her.

He strode over to Xu Shuyun, sat down beside her, and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, speaking softly, ”Auntie, donʼt overthink things. You still have me, and you have Jingjing and Yunqi. Weʼll always be here for you.”

”Mm-hmm,” Xu Shuyun replied, returning his embrace by holding onto his waist and leaning into him. The loneliness on her face faded a bit. It wasnʼt that she had any romantic feelings for Ye Fei; she just needed a strong shoulder to lean on.

It was Monday, and Ye Fei, who already had few concerns, decided to head to school.

After all, he hadnʼt attended a single class the previous week and hadnʼt even bothered to explain himself, just having Ye Yunqi call in a favor.

Although Yu Wuxia was aware of the situation at his home and wouldnʼt blame him, he still felt it was important to show some consideration.

Perhaps it was thanks to Ye Feiʼs words the night before, but Xu Shuyun seemed in fairly good spirits today. She even got up early to make breakfast for everyone.

After the meal, the four of them prepared to leave. Xu Shuyun was taking Ye Jing to Wangda, while Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi were heading to school. Xu Shuyun had planned to drop them off, but as soon as they stepped out the door, they saw a car parked at the entrance.

Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi recognized the car immediately—it was the same one that had been their personal ride for several days. They knew Zhou Mingming had arrived. Ye Yunqi excitedly called out ”Mingming” and ran over.

Seeing the four of them emerge, Zhou Mingming got out of the car. She first hugged Ye Yunqi, who threw herself at her, then greeted Xu Shuyun and Ye Jing.

As Liu Fengyiʼs closest assistant, Zhou Mingming was familiar with Ye Feiʼs family and had a good relationship with them.

With Zhou Mingming there, Xu Shuyun decided not to drive Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi to school. After a brief chat with Zhou Mingming, she left with Ye Jing, while Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi got into Zhou Mingmingʼs car.

”Mingming, what brings you here today?” As soon as they got in the car, Ye Yunqi claimed the passenger seat and started questioning Zhou Mingming. Now that she and Ye Fei were like an old married couple, she didnʼt feel the need to constantly cling to him anymore.

Zhou Mingmingʼs face lit up with a bright smile. ”Guess!”

”How am I supposed to guess?” Ye Yunqi pouted, a little annoyed that Zhou Mingming was teasing her.

Ye Fei, noticing Zhou Mingmingʼs cheerful expression, knew something good must have happened. He chimed in, ”Mingming, stop teasing us. Is there some good news? Share it with us.”

Zhou Mingming liked the two of them a lot and couldnʼt resist joking, ”What good news? Iʼm swamped with troubles every day.”

Ye Fei chuckled, ”Then tell us your troubles. Let me have a laugh.”

Ye Yunqi giggled at Ye Feiʼs words, and Zhou Mingming playfully scolded him, ”You ungrateful brat. Iʼve been so nice to you, and youʼre happy about my troubles?”

Ye Fei kept chuckling, ”Who told you to tease us?”

”Alright, Iʼll tell you,” Zhou Mingming said with a relieved smile. ”Today, a new deputy mayor arrived from the capital. Sheʼs a close friend of Mayor Liuʼs, and he went to pick her up early this morning. For such an official occasion, of course, the real driver was needed, so I, the substitute, had some free time.”

Upon hearing that the new deputy mayor was a close friend of Liu Fengyiʼs and that Liu had gone to pick her up so early, Ye Fei felt a twinge of unease.

Ye Yunqi, who was in tune with his thoughts, sensed his worry and asked on his behalf, ”So, Mingming, is this new deputy mayor a man or a woman?”

”Of course itʼs a woman.” Zhou Mingming didnʼt notice Ye Feiʼs strangeness and said, ”She was a good sister who shared a dormitory with Mayor Liu when she was just assigned a job. With her helping Mayor Liu this time, Mayor Liu can relax a bit.”

Ye Yunqi turned around and gave Ye Fei a look that seemed to say ”Now you can relax,” and Ye Fei gave her a dry laugh, changing the topic and asking, ”So is Mingming happy for this reason too?”

”Yes.” Zhou Mingming nodded and answered as a matter of course.

Ye Fei suddenly said with some emotion, ”Thank you, Mingming!”

Zhou Mingming was first stunned, and then she understood why he was thanking her. She smiled and said, ”What for? Since I came here, Mayor Liu has treated me like her own daughter. Iʼm just happy for her. Isnʼt that what I should do?”

Ye Fei understood the affection between her and Liu Fengyi, and at this time, he didnʼt say anything more. However, he was a bit troubled about how he should face his classmates when he arrived at school later.

Now that his story had spread, he had become a mysterious figure in the hearts of many ordinary citizens.

Would his classmates look at him like he was a monster too?

With such a mood, the car soon stopped at the school gate. Zhou Mingming dropped the brother and sister off and left.

After all, as Liu Fengyiʼs personal secretary, she had many things to do. The reason she came to find them today was just to share her happiness with someone.

Entering the school with Ye Yunqi, Ye Fei paid attention to the expressions of the students who saw them. It wasnʼt time for class yet, and there were still many people on campus, and most of them knew Ye Fei.

When they saw him, their looks were a bit strange. However, Ye Fei found that the strangeness in their eyes was not as he had imagined, like they didnʼt recognize him at all. Instead, it was a look full of disdain.

Although Ye Fei used to be very weak physically, because of his resolute character, some bad students bullied him at school, but most people still admired him. They had never looked down on him like this before. Ye Fei couldnʼt quite understand their current look.

But how could the current Ye Fei be compared to the old him? He soon figured out the key point.

Unlike ordinary citizens, most of the students here had seen Ye Feiʼs weakness with their own eyes.

Compared with rumors, they of course believed what they saw more. So they wouldnʼt think like others that Ye Fei had been biding his time before, and this big thing he did this time should have been done by someone else and the credit was just attributed to him. Kids at this age were still quite fond of individual heroism, and they naturally despised such things as taking credit from others.

After figuring this out, Ye Fei felt a bit happy. Although he was being despised, it could better serve his purpose of hiding himself.

From what happened with Ye Yu, he could tell that there was an extremely powerful mastermind behind everything.

Facing such an unknown opponent, having some hidden cards was always good. Although Ye Fei was only sixteen years old now, his state of mind was far beyond his age, and he naturally wouldnʼt hold a grudge against such misunderstandings.

But although Ye Fei didnʼt care, it didnʼt mean Ye Yunqi didnʼt care. Others looking down on Ye Fei made her feel worse than looking down on herself, so she asked in a low voice, ”Brother, why are their looks so strange?”

Ye Fei smiled and told her his speculation. Ye Yunqi was furious and was about to go and argue with those people right away, but Ye Fei held her back.

After hearing Ye Feiʼs idea of hiding himself, she also stopped her impulse, but she still couldnʼt help glaring angrily at those who despised Ye Fei.

Ye Yunqiʼs reputation was well-known at school. When those people saw that she seemed angry, they didnʼt dare to look down on Ye Fei anymore.

The two of them didnʼt go to the classroom first but went to Yu Wuxiaʼs office to report back from leave. Yu Wuxia didnʼt say much either.

Instead, she comforted them for a long time, telling them not to be too sad about Ye Lingtianʼs death.

At the end, she said with a smile, ”Ye Fei, I didnʼt expect you to be so powerful. I didnʼt know it before. Yunqi didnʼt tell me either. You two really donʼt take me as one of your own.” After saying that, she also blinked her big eyes at Ye Fei.

This was the first time Yu Wuxia showed such an expression in front of them. Her already beautiful face had a touch of playfulness, which made Ye Feiʼs heart skip a beat.

Maybe because there was no class today, Yu Wuxia wasnʼt wearing her teacherʼs uniform.

Instead, she was wearing a white thin shirt and a sky-blue long skirt. Since the air conditioner wasnʼt turned on in the room, she had unbuttoned two buttons of her shirt, revealing a deep cleavage inside.

Staring greedily at the exposed scenery of Yu Wuxia, Ye Fei couldnʼt help but recall the scene when he peeked at her and her aunt Liu Junyi having their fake affair, and his heart couldnʼt help but burn, and his gaze became even hotter.
