New Age Of Summoners

’Huh? Absolute loyalty?’

King Glaucus frowned for a moment when he heard Ajax’s words; however, thinking that Ajax was just a level 7 general realm cultivator, he didn’t think Ajax had any chance to win the bet.

So, after looking at his King ring experts, King Glaucus nodded his head before saying, ”In front of everyone present here, I am agreeing to all those conditions. If anyone has any objections, you can say it out loud and I will cancel the challenge.”

’Huh?’

This time, it was Ajax who frowned hearing King Glaucus’ words as he didn’t hear such words from him.

It was clearly visible that their mountain lion king was tempted by Ajax’s bet; however, he asked his followers because he was sure that everyone would agree with him.

”As proud Mountain lions, how can we not accept a challenge?”

”We are always ready for the challenge and stand by our word.”

As expected, all the mountain lions excitedly cheered as they looked down on Ajax a little too much, making Ajax shake his head..

’Just wait a few minutes. I will show you what I am truly capable of.’

Ajax silently muttered to himself as looked at the onlooking lion tribesmen.

”So, let’s start the challenge now. Who wants to go first?”

Soon, Ajax revealed a slight smile on his face as he asked looking at the King realm re-cultivated mountain lions except for King Glaucus.

”Max, you fight him. Finish it in a move and don’t kill him.”

King Glaucus looked at his followers for a moment before selecting one of them and asked him to fight Ajax.

At the same time, he asked his follower named Max not to kill Ajax during the fight.

”Yes, your majesty.”

Soon, the humanoid lion who guided them here took a few steps forwards before nodding his head at King Glaucus.

”Let’s see.”

Ajax revealed a slight smile on his face as he jumped off the devourer eagle king and landed in front of the humanoid lion.

”Are you sure you will swear your absolute loyalty to me if you lose the battle?”

Before starting the fight, Ajax asked Max while stretching his body a little.

”As a mountain lion, I will always keep my word. As long as you defeat me, I will swear my loyalty to you without a doubt.”

With full confidence in his lion face, Max replied to Ajax before saying, ”Anyway, for that, you need to win. Let’s start the fight.”

Nevertheless, just like King Glaucus, Max didn’t think much about Ajax because of his low cultivation and directly rushed at Ajax without using his bestial soul.

”Never underestimate someone.”

Seeing the mindlessly rushing humanoid mountain lion, Ajax shook his head before using ’Teleprot’.

’Swoosh’

Ajax disappeared from his place and made Max stop in his tracks.

Just as Max stopped, Ajax appeared behind him with the inheritance sword in his hands which he is currently holding against Max’s neck.

Not only that, Ajax pressed the inheritance sword into Max’s neck slowly before asking, ”So, what do you say now?”

There was a slight smile on his face while asking that which made Max and all other onlooking mountain lions frown.

”Max, don’t agree.”

”As a mountain lion, you should not admit defeat to a level 7 general realm human.”

”It is better to die rather than admitting defeat.”

Soon, all the mountain lions suggested Max not to admit defeat.

”I admit defeat.”

However, Max didn’t follow their suggestion; instead, he directly admitted defeat.

If Ajax wanted to kill Max, he would have already done it; however, everyone knew that it would make Ajax lose a follower.

”What the hell?”

”How did he admit defeat that easily?”

”Max was such a coward fearing death. So, it is just a waste of time to discuss him.”

”Did Max agree to some bribe from the human to insult our Mountain lions?”

Max admitting defeat made all the onlookers including King Glaucus angry.

It took less than 10 seconds for the entire match between Ajax and Max before Max admitted the defeat. So, it naturally made all the proud mountain lions angry.

Since it was Max, who brought them into the Kingdom, many onlookers silently thought Max was sold out.

”Damn you...if you don’t care about death, why don’t you come forward and I will test your faith in Mountain lion rules?”

Max was already annoyed with the weird rules of Ling Glucas and now, with the words of many onlookers, Max became furious as he shouted at the one who said Max was afraid of death.

To his reply, no one came forward; however, they started whispering among themselves.

”Everyone, keep quiet.”

All of a sudden, King Glaucus shouted at his lionsmen as he continued, ”Ajax won the fight fair and square and even Max tried his best. So, we should not say such things.”

Even though he was furious with Max’s actions of admitting defeat, it would not look nice if he cancelled the challenge.

”Master Ajax, I will swear my absolute loyalty to you and follow your orders without any hesitation except for going against the inhabitants from the Mountain lion woods.”

As for Max, he looked at King Glaucus for a moment before kneeling in front of Ajax and swore his loyalty to Ajax.

Ding,

Congratulations to the host for getting a King realm re-cultivated spirit beast as your follower.

’Ding,

A lottery chance is added to your account.

’Ding,

Mission ’Gain followers’ is completed; however, the host can still continue to keep this mission ongoing for the next six days.

Just as Max swore his loyalty to Ajax, he received a series of system notifications making Ajax pleasantly surprised.

’Looks like the mountain lions always keep their word.’

Only now, Ajax understands why the mountain lions were arrogant and proud because those who kept their words always had their heads high.

”So, are you going to challenge others? Or going back after winning the challenge by fluke?”

While Ajax was having a positive opinion on the mountain lions, King Glaucus, the king of the mountain lions is enough to remove that positive opinion.

Currently, he was fearing that Ajax would leave after gaining a follower. So, he intentionally tried to provoke Ajax and wanted to make his challenge once again.

For him, compared to a couple of his followers, King Glaucus preferred to have the blood essence of the divine dragon.

”Are you saying I won this challenge by luck?”

Ajax scoffed at Ling Glaucus’ words and behaved like he had been provoked by Glaucus’ words.

”Yes. Max didn’t even use his bestial soul. So, other than you winning this challenge by luck, then what is it?”

King Glaucus scoffed at Ajax and deep down, he was feeling excited because as he expected Ajax had been provoked. So, he continued to provoke with the quote ’Hit the iron while it is still hot’ in his mind.

”So be it.”

Ajax shook his head with a serious look on his face as he agreed to King Glacus’ words before saying, ”Why don’t you send another one?”
