New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 586 - Top powers gathering in mercenary guild (2)

”So, you think the royal family is the only one with nothing to do?”

Unexpected to everyoneʼ expectations, the King looked at the other powers and asked them with a scoffed expression on his face.

”No no no, your majesty. Itʼs just....,”

”Stop your bullshit and letʼs finish the matter why we came here, shall we?”

Before anyone of the leaders of the top powers could give a reply, the King interrupted as he asked them once again.

”Yes, your majesty,”

All of them became silent and looked at the guild master with angry looks on their faces.

ʼHaha,ʼ

As for the guild master and his five old friends, they revealed small smiles on their faces.

ʼIf not for my orders from the Ylercester province to stay out of trouble with the mercenary guild, I would have cooked up some plan to take out this mercenary guild,ʼ

ʼI wonder why the higher-ups from the other province donʼt want us to go against the mercenary guild?ʼ

ʼDoes they also have a backer in Ylercester province?ʼ

All the leaders of the top powers suppressed their anger towards the guild master and decided to follow the actions of the royal family which was suggested by their higher ups.

Some might wonder who were the higher-ups of the top powers of the Zrochester province as they were already the top of their province.

Thatʼs right! Except for the royal family and mercenary guild, all the other top powers have their own backers in the Ylercester province. Even though they only communicate with these so-called top powers in the Zrochester province once in a while, they always give their warnings and missions.

According to their backers, they should not mess with the mercenary guild if they donʼt gauge the exact strength of the mercenary guild.

It was also their suggestion to follow the royal family to compensate the mercenary guild for not sending reinforcements. So, no matter how arrogant they were in the past, they still suppressed their anger towards the guild master.

”I know you are all busy. So, letʼs finish this soon,”

The guild masterʼs starting words were filled with mockery as he looked at each and every one of the leaders of the top powers.

”Letʼs start from the five great families,”

Even though he was the king of the province, most of the leaders didnʼt have much fear towards him. With less fear, respect towards him was also very less.

Nevertheless, the King still tried to act dominant in front of everyone. So, he ordered the five great families to start.

”Yes, your majesty,”

All of the five family heads nodded their heads before taking out some items from their space rings.

”My Hammergust family apologizes for the mercenary guild for not sending the reinforcements in time and at the same time for the bravery of the mercenary guild and its mercenaries, I will give this,”

The Hammergust family head, Holor, took out a small building toy from his space ring as he moved it towards the guild master.

Just like every other family head, he was old but he looked physically strong.

”Huh? What is this, Familly head Holor?”

Guild carefully observed the toy building in his hands and asked Holor about it.

”It is the low-level heaven grade battle tower that was specially made by me and other top artificers of my Hammergust family,” Holor paused for a moment before saying, ”As long as you drop a single drop of your bloodline, you will know how it works.”

After finishing his words, Holor closed his eyes and stopped bothering with others because it was very difficult for him to part with that battle tower; however, it was the decision of their backer.

”Nice item,”

The guild master didnʼt expect the Hammergust family to be this generous and he was very much satisfied with the item before keeping it away and silently thought in his head, ʼIt is a good item for Rulf as it can be used to increase the strength of the low-level mercenaries with this battle tower.ʼ

Except for the mercenary guild, all the other powers have their own battle towers. So, with the item in his hands, the guild master thought of placing it in his mercenary guild to increase the battle prowess of low-level mercenaries.

As for why he said only low-level mercenaries because he knew that no one would give a high-level battle tower to another power.

”Next?”

After keeping away the item, the guild master asked the emperor for his taxes from the kings who were ruling some kingdoms in his empire.

”TT”

Hearing that, the King gritted his teeth because he didnʼt like some low-life mercenary act like a royal in front him.

ʼYour majesty. Control your anger. Did you forget your masterʼs orders?ʼ

Just when the king was about to snap out in anger, his old minister hurriedly calmed Stephen using his masterʼs name.

ʼSighʼ

Hearing those words, the king sighed and suppressed his anger and looked at the next family head.

”Foreglow family head, Aebnir sincerely apologizes with a monster peach to the mercenary guild,”

Unlike the Hammergust family head, this foreglow family head was much calmer and cool-headed as he took out a jade box in which a huge green coloured fruit was neatly placed.

As for why he was calm because the monster peach was an item that was sent by his backer from the Ylercester province.

ʼMonster peach?ʼ

ʼWith this, the mercenary guild will have another elite general realm cultivator,ʼ

ʼWhy are they giving all the resources to the mercenary guild and making it even more?powerful?ʼ

Many of the onlookers were shocked at first and shook their heads at the end because they thought what their family heads doing right now was the foolish thing to them.

However, they didnʼt have the courage to express their thoughts out in the open as only death awaits them if they do that.

”Hehe”

The guild master and the other five old cultivators heartily laughed while receiving the fruit.

ʼSlamʼ

”I had enough,”

All of a sudden, the king slammed the long dining table as he angrily looked at the guild master and his friends.
