New Age Of Summoners

562 Combat King Sectʼs Goal

********

”Why”

After hearing the first elderʼ words, all the remaining elders in the meeting room asked the same question at the same time as though they didnʼt understand why their sect leader would punish them for losing contact with their sect.

”It is only our assumption but we believe it is the only reason for the sudden cutoff of our communication with the headquarters,” the first elder took a deep breath as he continued, ”We failed the two missions that the headquarters has given to us. So, it is the only reason I and the second elder can think of losing communication with the headquarters.”

”...”

As soon as they heard those words, they became speechless and didnʼt say anything as it was a possible reason judging by the headquarters strict actions.

”So, when the sect leader finds out about it, he will show his rage on us for being incapable of completing those two missions,”

The first leaderʼs last words made all the elders worried because that would definitely happen when the sect leader comes out of his seclusion.

”So, what should we do, first elder?”

Due to the fear of their sect leaderʼs punishment, all the elders looked at the first elder and asked him.

ʼFinally...ʼ

As soon as he heard those words, the first elder looked at the second elder and secretly revealed a cunning smile before turning his face towards the other elders.

ʼI have an idea,ʼ

However, the cunning smile disappeared when he faced the other elders and it was replaced with a gentle smile as he replied to the other elders.

.....

Not only fire sword sect and the assassin sect, but all the great families were also having their own meetings in their meeting halls and all of them were decided to follow the royal family footsteps to apologize the guild master.

...…

In the meeting hall of the Combat King sect,

Unlike these top powers, the Combat king sect was completely different.

”Looks like something interesting is going on with the top powers and the mercenary guild...Hehe,”

In the meeting hall, there were five old men that looked almost identical with slight facial differences. And among the five, one of them slowly started talking while laughing.

”Yeah. Too bad that even royal family is fearing the mercenary guild after the return of the ʼSix vagrant cultivatorsʼ,”

Another old man mocked the royal family for their foolish decisions.

”All the sect leaders family heads and the King knew that the guild master is the leader of the ʼSix Vagrant cultivatorsʼ and thatʼs the reason why we also didnʼt go bothering it despite the fact we didnʼt like the mercenary guild in our Zrochester province,”

”Haha...when I think about that announcement, I?could not help but feel happy,”

”Haha”

All the five old men speak one after another while laughing at the announcement they had made a few years back.

Thatʼs right! A few years back, for some reason, the combat king sect released an announcement to the entire Zrochester province that they wonʼt bother with the provinceʼs matters and donʼt want to fight with other sects unless they were provoked.

With that, they have closed their sects door and the entire sect entered into seclusion.

”Moreover, our disciple only need one or two months to reach the general realm. I hope he breakthroughs to the general realm and forms a contract with another elemental spirit before the ʼChampionʼs contestʼ starts,”

Amidst their discussions, one of the old men spoke about a disciple which made all the other old men unconsciously smile.

”We did a great thing by sending the disciples to the summoner kingʼs inheritance despite the fact when we are still under closed doors,”

”Yes. Also, with the help of the guidance from us five old men, he will definitely reach the kind realm and will become the sole ruler of this Zrochester province,”

..

..

.

Just like that, they once again start discussing about a disciple who managed to form a contract with an elemental spirit in the inheritance ground.

The combat king sect always remained low-key and aimed for something big which was to become the sole ruler of the Zrochester province.

”I bet this issue with the guild master of the mercenary guild will not be over this soon and I bet my 2 spirit stone veins,”

Once again they came back to their old topic and one of the old men placed a bet.

”All of us think the same. So, no one will place a bet against you when we already know we will lose that,”

One of the old men replied with a scoff before saying, ”Okay then. Letʼs go back and gain some comprehension of our elements.”

After that old man spoke, everyone dispersed to their own houses without a word as though he was the leader of the group.

....

Outside the Hazegroove mercenary squad building,

”Edmond, what are you planning now? With this disciples selection, there should be some changes, right?”

Udo looked at Edmond as he asked about the mission they were planning for more than a year now.

”Without then, I need to completely change the plan,”

Edmond stretched his body while looking at Lewis, Jeff, Levi and Slait were discussing something and replied to Udo.

”So, why donʼt you ask the guild master to extend this selection or stop your adopted children from taking it. I know they didnʼt like your decision about removing them from your mission,”

Udo shook his head as he gave some suggestions to his friend.

”Of course I know it. But, what will happen even if we successfully finish the mission despite our low chances of accomplishing it? They will be stuck in this province if they donʼt become powerful,”

Edmond nodded his head and gave his own reasons to Udo before saying, ”Anyway, letʼs stop thinking about the mission for a few days until this selection thing is over.”

After finishing his words, he went into the building leaving behind Udo, who made a body action, ”Your wish”.
