New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 580 - Elegant Walker

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼZapʼ

As soon as he jumped backwards a couple of arrows pierced at his earlier position which made him unconsciously sweat.

ʼWho?ʼ

Without any delay, he looked in the direction from which the arrows came from.

”Huh? No one?”

However, there was no one in that direction except for a few small plants as though the arrows appeared out of thin air.

”Come out,”

He took out his bloodl.u.s.t spear from his inventory as he walked forward with a serious look on his face.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼKachaʼ

Just like earlier, a couple of arrows came from another direction; however, this time, Ajax was careful and was easily able to block them with his bloodl.u.s.t spear.

ʼNice reflexes for an elite commander realm cultivator,ʼ

All of a sudden, he heard a melodious voice in the direction from which the arrows came from.

ʼHuh?ʼ

Ajax saw a beautiful woman donned in a warrior attire with a longbow in her hands and quiver full of arrows on her back.

However, on her beautiful face, she had an additional pair of eyes which made Ajax think, ʼShe is not a human race.ʼ

ʼSystem, what is she?ʼ

He didnʼt know which race she belonged to. So, he asked the system about her.,

ʼDing,

Hall guardianʼs race:- Elegant walker

Strength:- Peak elite Elegant commander realm.

”So, you are one of the Elegant walkers who excelled in the proficiency of arrows,”

As soon as he saw the information about the hall guardian, Ajax revealed a slight smile and at the same time, he raised his guard up.

According to Elder Boron, they were on par with Elves when it comes to archery. Moreover, they were not as kind as Elves which made them enemies of other races.

”Haha...So, humans still didnʼt forget about us,”

The beautiful women started walking towards Ajax while laughing out loud.

”...”

Ajax didnʼt reply as he tightly held his bloodl.u.s.t spear and waited for the beautiful women to come near him.

Because Ajax only heard about them a couple of times from Elder Boron and the fact why he still remembered about them was his secret technique to remember all the knowledge and the other one was Elder Boron compared this Elegant walker with Elves which made an everlasting memory in Ajaxʼs head.

”Do you want to know more about our race?”

Once the beautiful woman reached Ajax, she asked him a question with contempt on her face.

ʼHuh? Why canʼt I move?ʼ

As soon as the beautiful woman was within his spearʼs range, Ajax wanted to kill her; however, he noticed that his body was unable to move from his place which made him anxious.

”Donʼt worry. This hall is different from other halls. Since that thing chose you as its master, I want to see what you are capable of,”

With a mocking tone, the beautiful woman of the Elegant walker race replied to him when she saw the anxious look on Ajaxʼs face.

ʼHuh? Does she know about the system?ʼ

His anxiousness turned into a shock when he heard her words and hurriedly asked the system in his head.

However, there was no reply from the system as usual which made him shake his head.

”Of course,”

Nevertheless, suppressing all his emotions, he nodded his head at the beautiful womanʼs question.

”Humans are always curious about other races. So that they can take control over other races,”

Whenever she used the term ʼHumanʼ there was a disgusted expression on her face.

ʼLooks like she hates the human race to her very core,ʼ

However, Ajax was not flinched away by her disgust because most of the races hated the human race for their intelligence and similarly the human race also hated other races that were more powerful than them.

”Anyway, letʼs come to the trials of this hall,”

ʼSnapʼ

The beautiful woman snapped her finger and a wooden bow along with a quiver full of arrows appeared in front of her as she continued speaking, ”To clear this hall, you need to finish three trials.”

”Three trials?”

Ajax raised his brows while looking at the bow and quiver which appeared out of thin air as he muttered in a low voice.

”Other than giving you a clearance for this hall, I will answer three of your questions regarding my race,”

The Elegant Walker woman revealed a cunning smile as she continued, ”The three trials will be very simple.

One, make this simple bow accept you as its master,

Two, comprehend the dao of archery,

Three, Shoot the monster peach,

How is it? Simple, right?”

The beautiful woman explained the three trials one by one.

ʼThe trials looked simple, but…,ʼ Even though he felt the trials seemed not very hard, Ajax felt something was off about them when he noticed the cunning smile on the hall guardianʼs face.

”Okay, I will try,”

Nevertheless, Ajax didnʼt worry much about it before nodding his head to accept the trials.

”By the way, I forget one thing. You have to complete the trial in three hours,” As soon as he nodded his head, the beautiful woman revealed a condition about the three trials.

ʼHere it comes,ʼ Ajax felt a little better after hearing the time limit because it was not as bad as he thought.

”As expected of the cruel Elegant walker,”

Ajax revealed a mocking smile as he replied to the beautiful women before looking at the bow and quiver and carefully observed them.

”You call us, Cruel? You need to grow up, little boy. Among all the races I know, the human race is the cruellest one. Do you even know they were once a great race; however, their greediness made them what they are today...Haha,”

For some reason, the beautiful woman triggered Ajaxʼs words as she mocked with a laugh.

”Huh? What did they do? How are we today?”

Ajax stopped paying attention to the bow and quiver as he raised his brows and asked her a couple of questions from her earlier words.
