My Apocalypse System Arrives 10 Years Early

Chapter 302: Chapter 219: Indian Bro: I Told You He Was Our Indian Superhero, and You Wouldn’t Believe It

Li Xiang arrived in a small city in Assam State. He changed into local attire, shed all his disguises, and walked the streets without anyone giving him a second glance.

This was because he was surrounded by ”Chinese people” with yellow skin, black eyes, and black hair.

Aside from their Indian-style clothing, most of the people here were completely different from Indians in other regions; you could say they were utterly out of place.

In fact, when people from this area traveled to mainland India, other Indians would ask them where they were from.

The ancestors of the Assamese came from China’s Yun-Gui Plateau. In the early 13th century, due to factors such as population growth, resource scarcity, and the Mongol invasion, the Dai-Tai Race of the Yun-Gui Plateau began a massive migration. One group entered Myanmar, becoming the Shan Race. Another entered Laos, becoming the Old Race. A third group went to Thailand, becoming the Tai Race. A final group migrated west into the Brahmaputra River basin, which is now the Northeast region of India.

The six northeastern states, with Assam at the forefront, are connected to mainland India by the narrow Siliguri Corridor, with Bangladesh situated in between.

These six northeastern states have long held separatist inclinations.

However, with the Apocalypse looming, none of that mattered anymore.

Li Xiang stayed in Assam State for only two nights and a day before heading into northern India. He wasn’t using any navigation and had no idea where he was. ’Uttar Pradesh? Bihar State? Or maybe Madhya Pradesh?’

In any case, he wandered wherever his fancy took him. At times, a single step would carry him a kilometer or two.

He experienced a great deal of the local culture and customs, his only regret being that he couldn’t bring himself to try the local Indian food.

He mainly didn’t dare to eat it, and besides, he didn’t like it. Even though he had reached Minor Spirit Body Achievement and was immune to all diseases, the mere sight of those ”gooey” foods, the yellowish, pasty curries and the like, made him lose his appetite instantly.

So for the past few days, he had been subsisting on his own rations and Spirit Fruits, drinking the mineral water and Spirit Wine he had on hand.

Terrified screams erupted from a local village eight or nine hundred meters away. Li Xiang was perched atop a large tree, rising and falling with its sway. He glanced over and saw a leopard had stormed into the village and was now on a rampage, relentlessly attacking the villagers.

A man wielding a wooden stick was fighting it, but this leopard was unusually large, much bigger than a common leopard and certainly not comparable to the small Clouded Leopards found in Indonesia. The man was overpowered. After just two exchanges, he was tackled by the leopard, which bit through his neck.

The leopard then turned on the other villagers. The old and weak, women and children, screamed in terror as they scrambled to find places to hide.

A few dogs charged forward, only to be effortlessly killed by the leopard.

These villagers were typical Indians. Li Xiang didn’t know their specific ethnicity, but they were starkly different from the people back in Assam State.

Just as the leopard was about to pounce on a child frozen with fright, Li Xiang decided he couldn’t just stand by, even if they were of an Alien Race. His figure flashed. Moving at an Extreme Speed of 5 Mach, he arrived in the blink of an eye. Before him, the leopard’s movements seemed as slow as a snail’s.

Li Xiang scooped up the child and, at the same time, lashed out with a kick at the leopard.

The leopard was sent flying backward, soaring over several houses and a small river before landing with a THUD on the opposite bank. It was, of course, deader than dead.

System: ”Congratulations, Host. You have killed the Tier Eight Mutated Creature, Phantom Charm Leopard...”

Li Xiang couldn’t be bothered to check the reward for a Low Tier Demon Beast that didn’t even drop Extraordinary Items. He looked down at the little girl in his arms. Her skin was dark, but she was absolutely adorable. He stroked her cheek before handing her back to her mother, who had rushed over.

”Thank you, thank you,” the child’s mother said, thanking him repeatedly as she stared in terror at the Black Armored Man before her.

The little girl blinked her big eyes, sizing up Li Xiang with curiosity and adoration. The image of this Black Armored Man would influence her for the rest of her life. Many years later, when the Apocalypse descended, this girl would learn that Li Xiang was the Black Armored Man. She would then endure countless hardships to lead her people to seek refuge with him. Seventy or eighty people set out on the journey; only nine survived to reach their destination.

The villagers crowded around, chattering in a language he couldn’t understand. Someone ran over to check on the leopard and then shouted back toward them, his voice filled with utter shock.

Li Xiang gave a dismissive wave, his figure flickered, and he vanished.

Little did Li Xiang know, in a room nearby, a man had recorded the entire scene on his phone.

’This Black Armored Man... could he be that superhero people are talking about online? Haha, he actually came to our village! He must be India’s superhero; why else would he save one of our village’s little girls?’ The man was ecstatic, and he immediately posted the short video clip to an international website.

Li Xiang continued his hunt. In a primeval forest, he killed five Bengal Tigers and eight Indian Rhinoceroses. One of the tigers and two of the rhinos had potential above Tier Ten, and together they ”dropped” three Extraordinary Weapons: a Big Saber, a Giant Axe, and a Vine Whip.

The Big Saber weighed around three hundred kilograms and possessed one Extraordinary Attribute: ”Gale.” When wielded, a fierce wind would howl, and the blade’s attacks would become like a torrential squall, utterly unstoppable.

The Giant Axe weighed a staggering eight to nine hundred kilograms, comparable to his Profound Iron Mountain-Removal Rod. It came with one Extraordinary Attribute: ”Bloodthirsty.” It could devour an enemy’s vital essence and blood, converting the energy into a frenzied battle intent that it fed back to its wielder, making them stronger the longer they fought.

The Vine Whip, in contrast, was extremely light. It was crafted from a peculiar Spirit Vine, making it both incredibly durable and flexible. It also possessed an Extraordinary Attribute: ”Frozen.” Any enemy struck by the whip would be instantly encased in ice, and a weaker foe would be unable to struggle free.
